I don't normally leave reviews, but Hidden Collectibles in Orange County absolutely earned this one. I came in needing to sell some Pokémon cards because life has been hitting me pretty hard financially. I wasn't expecting miracles, I just wanted someone to be honest with me and give me a fair deal. From the moment I walked in, Tien treated me with respect. He took his time going through every card instead of rushing me out the door. He explained everything, answered my questions, and genuinely wanted to make sure I got the best deal possible. You can tell he actually cares about the people who walk into the store, not just the transaction. What really stood out to me was that they listened to my situation. They didn't have to. They could've just made an offer and sent me on my way, but instead they worked with me and made the whole experience feel personal. They even helped make sure my son got to keep the cards that meant the most to him, which honestly meant more to me than they probably realize. A huge thank you as well to the supervisor (I think his name was Logan the one with the tattoos). He was just as friendly, respectful, and helpful. The entire staff made us feel welcome. We ended up walking out with close too $500, kept the majority of my son's collection, and left feeling like we had been treated fairly. That's a win in my book. I've read some of the negative reviews, and after my experience, I genuinely don't understand them. Maybe some people walk in expecting retail prices when they're selling to a business, but that's just not how buying collections works. I felt like I was treated honestly, fairly, and with kindness every step of the way. Thank you, Tien, and everyone at Hidden Collectibles. You helped my family more than you know. I was able to stumble upon the store, and was greeted by Logan who is running the shop that day. Super awesome and friendly guy! We talked a lot about video games and just what we enjoy the most about them. I did pick up a few games which I was super excited to add to my collection and they were in pristine condition. I definitely will be back when I'm in the area to see what else has come in. So far the experience has exceeded my expectations! SCAMMER SHOP! JJ is a terrible business owner. I went in and looked at some cards with a friend. I picked out a mew and asked the price, he quoted me a price and I decided to look at a few other cards. NOT TWO MINUTES LATER, I ask to buy the mew and he increases the price and tells me that price fluctuates. I literally asked to buy a quoted price card within 5 minutes and he jacked up the price and not by a few dollars but 20%. CROOKED SHOP, my friend told him my experience and he quote "banned" me from his shop, like I would ever go back in the the first place. I was very surprised that there was a card shop right across from Cypress College which is an amazing college to attend, but impressed me that there some cards that were from the Lost Art which did put a smile on my face, and bought a couple of them. Price was fair to say at the very least indeed, bought a structure deck of Red Dragon Archfiend, and would definitely consider returning to buy more Lost Art cards. read more

I was a regular here. I brought in 4 PSA slabs and wanted to see what they would give me. Dude only offer me 110 for all of these. Just the Charizard itself is worth a 100... I've been to this store since their grand opening when they had that promo. I haven't been to the orange location because multiple times i went they closed. I don't know the hours there. I have been to the one near bookoff and that one I frequent alot. The workers are nice I can definitely tell whos a new staff and whos not. One of my few fav socal's pokemon cards shop cause their inventory is huge. Trade in are mid tho just like every other card stores. read more

Been going here for a very long time and I don't go anywhere else for my TCG needs. Prices are obviously market, but they will work with you and won't nickel and dime you. I've come in a couple times and I'll say the selection is always solid. They've got some vintage Pokémon cards and some gems in there for sure. I was interested in buying a Charizard, and each time I asked, I watched them go on eBay before quoting me prices that were over market average. Staff has the personality of wet cardboard and could barely be bothered by me being there and wanting to give them business. I even tried to strike up conversation with the girl "helping" me, saying I had just found my old collection and was starting to get back into it again. She didn't say a single word back to me, didn't even make eye contact. So I just said "ok...thanks.." then proceeded to leave. Sucks cause I love small card shops and would rather give them my money, but I'm not giving a dime to a place that seemed bothered by my just being there. So after a recent trip to Frank and Sons over the weekend, and a bit of mulling it over, I decided it was time to give bad credit where it rightfully needs to be said-about them and this particular business as well. Several weeks ago, I honestly had some of the most lackluster service in my time shopping at this location, including the sister store they have in Orange. During my time in both stores, I couldn't help but feel rushed by some of the male employees while taking my time looking through their card selections. I only recently got back into the hobby of card collecting now that I'm an adult with my own spending money, therefore I'm taking it step by step in completing personal goals of acquiring particular cards and overall try completing sets in the future. The longer I took just browsing and making my decisions, I could tell the guy behind the counter was rushing me while looking through for a quick sale, and was also just looking more disinterested by the seconds. For all intents and purposes, I had every intention to buy at least a few cards, but going into the value of the cards themselves, it was honestly very difficult to make a worthwhile purchase when several of them were so damaged and or they don't replenish their supply within the binders they have available. I'm definitely avoiding ever giving either of these locations my service unless absolutely necessary such as in the case of needing more card sleeves. read more

Neat little card shop with good selection. I've been here a few times and every time the experience is just ok. Their customer service isn't too good, the girl with the dogs barely acknowledges you. Don't trade anything in, because you will be significantly ripped off.
