Mind you, they had boxes of bulk stacked on top of each other, so who knows what's been checked or not either, watch me get a scolding for trying to master set some things. There's other card shops that actually do free bulk, I'm definitely gonna stick to them. EDIT: So after reading the other reviews left behind, I can definitely say they do lowball for whatever you bring in. I overheard this one couple bring in some cards that sounded rather high in value based on how the responses were for what they would offer and they were gonna give them a low offer, which I think they declined on some of the cards so good for them.

And this is for my Koomi m600 I've spent 400 already that I won't see back! I live in Las Vegas, so dealing with a shop located in Orange County has already made this situation more difficult and expensive. I purchased a motor hub from this business, and the first one did not work. After contacting them, they sent a replacement motor hub, which also failed. Trying to resolve the issue in good faith, I then paid additional money to ship the wheel/rim assembly back to their shop so they could supposedly install and verify everything themselves before sending it back to me. After my sister drove the wheel back out to Las Vegas and I reinstalled everything onto my bike, the motor hub STILL did not function. At this point I've spent hundreds of dollars between the part, shipping costs, travel, and wasted time, and I still do not have a working product. The most frustrating part has been the lack of urgency, communication, and accountability after multiple failed attempts to resolve the issue professionally. I tried being patient and reasonable for months before considering legal action. I would strongly advise customers to be cautious before spending money here, especially if you are purchasing from out of state.

Do NOT let the store assemble your bike. Even though they charge for assembly, the work was not…read moredone properly, and on an e-bike this becomes a serious safety concern. It seems they do not use proper torque specifications when tightening bolts and screws, and they also do not apply threadlocker (Loctite 242), which is highly recommended for e-bikes. In my case, one of the bolts holding the front wheel came loose and fell off within the first month. I had to replace it myself from Home Depot. Shortly after that, one of the front brake disc bolts started backing out and began damaging the frame. This is unacceptable, especially considering the bike is only one month old. My child uses this bike to go to school every day, so now I constantly have to check all the bolts to make sure it is safe to ride. That should not be necessary after paying for professional assembly. In general, the store has decent options and pricing is okay, but nothing better than buying online (Amazon or other retailers), at least for the Macfox bike that I purchased. I chose this store because the website said same-day pickup was available, but when I arrived they did not have the bike in stock and told me to come back the next day. Overall, not a great experience, mainly because of the poor assembly quality, which is a safety issue.

The trouble is, I'm on business in Southern California for a couple of weeks, and the kids (and my partner) are 2,600 miles and three time zones away. This is an obvious barrier to performing my part in the Brushing of the Teeth, the Reading of the Storybooks, and the Hugging of the Stuffed Cat, and so I've been largely useless in these regards of late. At 4pm California time, I was checking out the Bellflower Car Show (which was really cool!) when I got a call from my partner back east. It was storytime in the eastern time zone, and the Toddler had decided that I was the ONLY person on the entire planet who was qualified to read the picture book version of the classic song "What a Wonderful World" that night. Which is to say, I was the only person in the world qualified to SING "What a Wonderful World" while my partner turned pages, pausing so that the toddler could periodically say "Wha wondafawa!" and/or point out all the birds and bugs in the pictures. Car shows, however, are REALLY NOISY and also full of people and interesting shiny things. This is not conducive to reading picture books, nor for putting small children into a sleepy headspace. Luckily, the car show was right in front of The Guild House. I'd actually stopped into The Guild House the week prior for a Tuesday night D&D Adventurer's League game (Level 5 Half-Elf Bard). They charge $2 a head for table and supplies, which- and I realize this is a divisive issue- is absolutely fair because the storekeepers have gotta make rent somehow and it's not like every player is gonna buy new dice/books every week. I found the staff friendly and , the product selection excellent, and the store itself clean and comfortable. So, throwing myself at the mercy of my nerd brethren, I ducked inside The Guild House, and treated the gamers therein to an impromptu concert. Those who noticed me singing in the corner were very understanding about my situation, but most too wrapped up in their games to care. I even got to show Astrid the Shop Cat- possibly the world's cutest game store employee- to the Toddler, who has asked about the cat every time we've talked since. After saying good night to the toddler, I bought some really funny "Miskatonic University" postcards to send to my nerdy friends back east, and also a cute pin with a plague doctor on it to give to my partner. Bad service and poor communication…read more I've been trying to catalogue my MTG collection lately. I drove 40 min to get to this shop because they have a machine that scans your cards. I paid the shop to rent the machine and waited for 2 hours. Then the staff told me "We made a mistake setting this up. We can't give you the scanned info, but leave your cards behind and your email address, and we can send them over. You'll just need to scan this thing we send you." I was uncomfortable leaving my cards behind because they're important to me. But I didn't want to walk away empty-handed. So I decided to trust them and I left my cards behind. I didn't hear anything for 4 days. I had to call them and they said "Oh the employee you were talking to got sick. If you want to pick up your cards you can do that though." I asked "How about scanning my cards?" and they said "We'll message the sick employee and call you back to let you know what he says". I waited 3 more days and they didn't contact me at all. I realized they weren't going to reach out to me to resolve the issue, so I had to drive down to the store to demand my cards back. I don't know who the person running the back of the shop is. Maybe the manager. Maybe the owner. All I knew is that they had context on the whole situation and knew that I had returned to get my cards. They didn't bother to come over to talk to me. They didn't even give me eye contact. They didn't make even a single attempt at improving the situation. Not even an offer for store credit. Not even a sorry. They just shrugged and yelled across the room "machine's broken". Then they went back to puttering around and left another employee to deal with me. This other employee had no context on the situation. All she could do was hand me a cash refund and give me a confused "Sorry...?" I was treated like I was an annoyance. Someone who'd go away eventually if you ignored them. Not a respected customer who just wanted to do business. I'm not mad that the machine was allegedly broken. I'm only slightly mad that the employees aren't trained on how to use the machine. I'm frustrated that I paid for a service and they didn't bother seeing the job through to the end. They didn't communicate when they decided to give up. I trusted them with my personal card collection and they betrayed that trust. I don't even know if I have all my cards back, but I'll never know. Save yourself the stress.
