The owner, Kevin, ripped us off. I came in with a list of about 60 cards for a budget deck. Some cards were clearly crossed out because I already owned them and communicated the cards crossed out were already owned and they confirmed it was fine. We agreed on a $65 max budget if it went over that, he wouldn't pull more cards. He handed me a sleeve full of cards without going over what was included, what was missing, or confirming anything from the list. When I asked if he was able to get everything, he said my list was "too big." That's fine but what's not fine is what happened next. When I reviewed the cards, a majority them were not pulled and about one third of the cards that were pulled were cards that were crossed out on my original list cards I already had and made clear I didn't need. Instead of properly correcting the mistake and refunding the difference, he argued and only gave us $10 back. And argued they were not crossed off the original list, when I have screenshots I'll share later to where they clearly were. For a budget deck, the total should never have been close to that amount in the first place especially considering the wrong cards were included. It felt careless at best and predatory at worst, especially toward newer players who may not double check everything on the spot. I hate to mention attitude as well but he came off as not at all welcoming. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. I'm new to the whole TCG sphere and was honestly a bit scared to go to my first card shop as a newbie. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly employee and we casually struck up a conversation about the wind opening and closing the front door. My main thing was to find a Pokemon gift for my girlfriend and with how scalpers are these days, I was happy to find any kind of booster packs and tins at all. The same employee helped me pick out a nice tin and some top loaders to gift my girlfriend and all at a fair price. Compared to eBay and other online sellers a lot of the stuff offered here was either at or below the average prices. It's a bit scary getting into a new hobby and the employees here created a welcoming environment that makes me want to come back again and continue collecting. read more

I never leave reviews, but man I had to for this place. I started with greeting one of the women behind the counter with "Hello :)" and immediately ignored. Went to another man to ask about a card I had, immediately asked "why don't you just cut to the chase & tell me what you want??" And I said well I'm just seeing what it's worth, I'm new to the card scene. And then followed it with "so either way with whatever I offer you, you're still going to shop around". Not good service, not good attitude, over priced 2 to 3x for smaller end cards. Didnt bother giving sleeves or top loader for our cards we bought. Had to buy them. I took my wife and two little brother. They overpriced there smaller cards because they have a "minimum". We are talking about cards market .90 cents and they initially told me 2 dollars which is over double and then when he rang me up he said 3 dollars because of a minimum and the moment when I told him you said 2 earlier, he was like I could do that. The reason they upcharge is because he said they dont get too much pokemon.... also other cards shop give you sleeves and top loader. We spent about 44 dollars and they didnt give us sleeves or top loaders for the cards we bought and when I asked, they wanted to sell them to us. read more

My true addiction: shiny cardboard aka Yugioh lol I've come here more times than I should admit but hey I have a problem lol I usually buy decks, sleeves, binders, single cards sometimes, whole booster display boxes, and these amazing large sheet metal like art cards for my wall. The wall art is done by a shop friend so those go quick. The hours are sometimes off so I'd say call since google is inaccurate as yelp was before, not sure if it's been updated. Great card shop prices are very reasonable with how many new fans so expect to pay a little more because it's instant access for a great selection of cards and supplies. For those mentioning their service and not getting attended, if you see an available worker at the cash register walk up to them and say hi it's not so hard. People like myself often go in the store to browse Yugioh card singles that are on display and I take my time reading and looking up the cards on my end. Such a great card shop! Stopped in this weekend and hit the shop. Great Singles and some ETB's to chose from. Prices were actually really good considering SoCal area, its usually high at these shops. All American stuff no Japanese. I was able to park easy (lots of space) and found a couple cards I wanted I picked up a Shiney Charizard and Rayquaza and they didn't price scalp they even gave me a decent deal on both cards together. They were both in great shape, I ended up buying more and pulled some great cards. Its always awesome when a shop remembers why we all do this and it makes the money and time all worth it. AVOID this place. It's sad when businesses scam. I went looking for a Pokémon card and I told the gentlemen who helped me: "I'm looking for a gift no more than $50, could you show me cards in that range." He brought out a few cards and I picked a Raichu. I was excited and thanked him for the help. Later that day I decided to do some research and found out the card he sold me goes for $20 MAX. I understand making a profit since it's a business, but the markup I ended up paying is just theft at this point. I was a beginner collector excited to purchase my first card for a friend and instead of gaining a customer they decided to scam someone. I had a horrible experience today with the manager running the stand at Frank & Sons, I believe his name was Kevin. I came in looking to sell just 4 cards with no real expectation of a price and first thing that happens as soon as I approach and say "hello." He refuses to even acknowledge me or greet me back. After waiting for a few minutes and just looking at my friends, as i'm about to walk away he says "just wait i'm busy" as he is texting on his phone. After waiting a few more minutes he finally asks "what do you want?" In a rude tone. I showed him my binder with the 4 cards and asked politely if he could check them out and to see what they would go for. After looking at them he asks me "what do you want for them?" And like I said I had no expectations or knew what they would be worth, so I just pulled out my phone to see what tcgplayer might price them out to be and as soon as I did that, he said to me, "what's the point of even looking up a price and me wasting my time telling you a price if you're gonna walk around to other stores? Go find a price then come back." then immediately handing me back my binder and proceeded to go back on his phone. I LITERALLY had no price in mind and would have just liked to get rid of the cards no matter the price, but the rudeness and just horrible customer service was insane. It's your business and i'm sure you get other people but there was no one there at the time so I don't understand what led to me being the target for the rude behavior especially if i'm just trying to do business. You are a grown man and acting like that is immature and scummy. Unfortunately I see I wasn't the only one to have to deal with that behavior from the same guy too. Immediately took my business that wasn't needed to the next vendor, got a price, and sold the cards I was hoping to sell. Simple and they were actually genuinely nice. It doesn't cost anything to be kind. If you guys go Frank & Sons, there is SOO many other vendors who are actually respectful and supportive. This place just has no respect for their customers and I can see why out of all the vendors at the time, this was the only one empty. Save your time and effort to the vendors that actually care. If you're looking for a chill, tight-knit Digimon card game TCG locals, we finally have a good one in Orange County. 15-20 people a week! Friday evenings starts around 7PM. Only reason this is a 4, and not 5 star is because the Store itself double books tournaments with Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments that are naturally big so space ends up very tight especially sharing with random people who just want to play casual games of non Digimon/YGO that night. Updating my review: The previous time I had a bad experience, but coming back they really showed that they took the review seriously and valued me as a customer. The owner reached out personally and I appreciate when a business can own up to a mistake and try to make amends with a customer who has had a bad experience. I came back with my nephew to give them one more shot and they exceeded my expectations. We picked up a One Piece booster box and we spoke with a new employee named Eddie who helped us with our deck builds and card selections. Thanks Eddie, you rock! I had heard great things about this place from multiple different people, I was looking to buy some magic cards and wanted them asap and even waited till they opened to call because i was so excited, once im on the line i ask my question and immediately get told to go to frank and sons instead as they have a better stock. I then had my boyfriend called a few hours later and ask the same question, the same guy picked up the phone and actually helped my boyfriend out and told him to send a list to their instagram and they would get back to him.... i signed up for a pre-rift event here on a friend's recommendation. spiritforged pre-rift events were scarce, understandably due to the hype around the set, but i think the first red flag should have been from when my friend mentioned there was very little space in the shop itself. there was no communication from them about the event, and i had not known that i was kicked off the list of the event until someone at another event asked me which pre-rifts i was going to. the reason for the kick was simply because they were truncating the list from 32 people down to 16, which makes me wonder why they didn't just set that as the limit in the first place....? on top of that, the only communication for this was through their discord server, apparently, and even then no one was informed until literally the day before the event. when asked if we would get a refund for being kicked off the event, the person on the phone mentioned that the people kicked off would get a refund. this was approximately 2 weeks ago. as of 2/15/26, i have yet to receive a refund from either this shop or carde.io, nor have i gotten any form of communication from them. i do not normally review card shops as they are generally hit or miss anyways, but this one, who have wasted my time and money, before i even stepped foot in here once is very disrespectful. read more

Lack of pokemon inventory and what seem to be a racist customer service from one of the employees as he didn't greet nor service us. The guys at yugioh and magic the gathering sections were very nice though. If you are looking for pokemon singles go to hidden collectible, juice box, card shack, excelsior collectibles, and king slayer the other stores have way more inventory they only had around 30 last time I went. read more

Went here to pick up some One Piece TCG singles. Store had a big selection catering to a plethora of card games, like Yugioh and Digimon. They also have a lot of seating to sit down and play. Customer service was attentive. The only gripe about this place like many other reviews state is the pricing. They charged $3 for a few common singles that were each listed on TCG as less than $0.10. $3 is no big deal but the point is that they're seriously overcharging and probably made me pay for their shipping, They didn't pennysleeve my cards either like other card stores do. I'd stick to Sugoi Stuff in GG where they actually price match TCG. read more

Terrible experience over the phone. Tells he can't help me he's busy and that if he does I'll have to wait. If I put a request to see if they have a card he said he wouldn't get back to me until the next day. Overall rude customer service, he couldn't care less helping or answering any questions. States, "idk it could be tomorrow, idk if you come in im still busy and won't be able to assist you right away. I asked how long would I have to wait, he said, idk I'm alone. Even if ur busy there should be professionalism. Why bother answering the phone in the first place if ur not gonna do anything. read more

Went in today after work and waited 15 minutes before I left, not one employee helped me out or even greeted me when I entered I watched as one employee explained a card game to another person and 2 others sat next to the register. It's probably better I wasn't helped as the prices they have on the Pokemon selection reminded me of scalpers $150 for a ETB is ridiculous.
