Passed by this place with a friend and decided to check out their gunpla inventory. The front entrance is hard to find because the sign for the store is something cellular related without any mention of gunpla or hobby shop in english. The front of the store does have a bunch of built kits for display so you can't miss it. Inventory for gunpla was diverse compared to other shops within the area. I did manage to find a kit I was looking for, for a long time. Prices were also reasonable. They were cheaper than buying online and paying for shipping so it was definitely worth purchasing from the store. Owner also seemed like a cool guy so thats a +1 from me. read more

I'd like to say I am an amateur when it comes to Gundam. When I first came into the store, I was instantly greeted with a smile. The owner, Kevin, is an absolute genius when it comes to gundam. I asked for one that's cool yet sort of easy to build. All he asked was that I wait a couple seconds, he went to the back and came back with a variety of options. They were all very cool looking gundams with beginner level. I got 2 out of the 6 he brought out. I bought it for about 30ish bucks which I thought was interesting because he sold it at market price. He doesn't overcharge and he's always looking forward to any questions you have about gundam. He makes me want to come back and buy more. I love this place! read more

I know nothing about Gundam model kits but I took my sister here since she's interested in them. Pretty much it's an office space for the online store but it's open to the public. If you're paying by card, you have to go to the website on your phone and process the payment there as if it's an online pick-up order. No price tags shown at the physical store; it's all on the website. Person manning the store could've been friendlier. Overall I've had better experiences at stores similar to this one but if you're in the area and enjoy building Gundam model kits (and don't want to pay for any shipping fees) then this place is definitely worth the visit. *Storefront sign is in Korean but if you also see a Verizon sign you're at the right place. read more

Don't even ask if a trip to this store is worth it because it 110% IS. Upon first entering the plaza, I thought my husband and I had made a wrong turn. Good thing my husband had read the reviews saying the sign of the store was a Verizon sign or we may have given up. My husband, Andrew, had gotten into gunpla a few months ago before he had to move to San Diego and I had to stay behind in Virginia. Naturally, I took interest and supported his hobby by doing it with him. When I scheduled a flight to go visit him, we searched for a store that sold gundams and found Hobbyholics. WE ARE BEYOND IMPRESSED. When you first enter the store it looks like there isn't much of a selection, but they will point you to the room in the back and from there you will see gundams lining the walls from ceiling to floor, literally. The room is small, but it is PACKED with gundams (and there are other none gundam related things to build, just not a whole lot). We met the owner, Mr. Kim, and he was super awesome and super knowledgable about everything gundam. He and Andrew had a lot to talk about. The pricing is INCREDIBLE. We walked out with 9 gundams, a set of markers, nippers and two individual black markers for panel lining for less than $200 (picture attached). PAYMENT: Cash payment is preferred, otherwise you have to place all the items in a cart through the website, select that you are picking up in person, and pay with a card there (super easy and it is what we did). First off - this is a great local place for gunpla enthusiasts. Lots of online stores are back ordered on rare and more desirable kits. Went in and met Kevin for the first time and he was extremely professional and friendly. They don't sell "cheap" or 2nd market tools. Everything is high quality imports from Japan. I went in to see if they had wing zero custom ver ka kit and he said he had a shipment coming in soon, so I placed a deposit to reserve a kit. I also picked up a pair of god hand nippers (best nippers in the market). Total was $148 for both, which is very reasonable compared to other retailers and even online + shipping costs. Once the kit came in (~2/3 days later), the owner gave me a call to let me know it was available for pick up. No complaints, just trust the process. Thanks Kevin! Will be coming back soon. read more

Prices on model kits here are almost always cheaper than if you were to purchase online instead. There's also the added bonus of the in store pick-up option as well as pre-orders too which I've been starting to use recently and it has been saving me so much time. I imagine the physical store itself is fine, but it seems this company engages in shady behavior for online/shipped sales. Their "shipping fees" are not consistent with what USPS, UPS, or FedEx would charge based on the dimensions/weight of items I've seen. It looks like HobbyHolics wants to scalp a bit, but instead of increasing the price of the item itself (which tbh, they also do this sometimes), they seem to add an arbitrary amount into the shipping. If someone from HH is reading this and thinking, "What? We don't do that." - that means something is direly wrong with your supply chain. Shipping does not cost as much as your website and especially your ebay listings claim. I say this as someone who has shipped hundreds of items, from guitars and amps to anime figures, both as a business and for personal purposes. They're either scalping customers or their shipping protocol is derelict (thus, un-competitive with BBTS, Shumi, TOM, etc.). read more

Super friendly and doesn't try to push any of his product on you. Worth checking out if you know what you want/need. This past Tuesday, they received a shipment of P-Bandai, which makes coming here that much more appealing since I get to look at the kits first hand. Highly recommend! Not too long ago, me being an avid gunpla builder, I was searching far and wide for a "local" store that would sate my craving. Upon finding this on Yelp, I found out it wasn't so "local" to me. But the trip was well worth it. This store provides up-to-date selections of Bandai model kits and action figures, to which I was pleasantly surprised. Their website is constantly updated on preorders and upcoming items. Pricing is good, especially when compared to other stores. The store owner is kind and welcoming, and I felt comfortable in asking him questions in regards to upcoming items. One time, I wanted to inquire on an item that they might carry on their store. So I slide to the DMs of their official Instagram and simply asked them the question. Then, lo and behold, the person responded quite quickly and gave me a thorough response. I ordered two different packages and one of my packages was released on February 28 I had asked an employee on their Instagram when it will come and they said any day now I waited from February 28th to April 29 and I was happy it came but I had to wait 2 months just to get it and then my other package released on April 30th and so I waited until May 2 to ask for my next package and they told me it was estimated to come June or July and I was fine with that as long as I had a time frame and then they text me back saying they won't be responding to eta status and they said the etas are just speculation and they don't know when they come available and this bit of information should be available to the customer as I am paying for their products, so if you don't mind not knowing when the packages come then I recommend this store and I don't mind paying extra for Amazon as I at least know and get updates for my packages read more

Horrendous customer service. Was the only ones in the store... No greeting when we walked in, no smile only got attention when I was going to look at an item to purchase and got told I couldn't touch anything. Had a ridiculous rule that we could not touch anything in the store 'due to COVID' was told very rudely to go online if i wanted to see what something looked like which seemed absolutely ridiculous being that I was standing in the store in front of the item. I was going to purchase items but was left with such a bad taste in my mouth that I left. DO NOT COME HERE! Just copy and paste my review from Google. Got my my MG Quanta Full Saber there for a few bucks cheaper. When it comes to Gunpla selections, this store serves fine. It's not really incredible or bad. Supplies were out completely when we came due to COVID. We ended up purchasing MG kit through the online store because the store doesn't do in-person card payment for some reason. Store looks like it either just moved in or it's about to move out, we didn't really mind, but it can be a bit more neat for the customers. Now for the bad part, the owner or whoever that was sitting at the front kept telling us not to touch anything. Of course there are people who aren't mindful and respectful of the store before. Me and my gf were fully aware of this so we just didn't touch anything at all. He just kept repeating the same thing even when I asked questions about the prices. Mind you, we are really easy going people and don't mind most of this, BUT for people who are picky, you will not have a good experience. Tldr: Okay selection of Gunplas, supplies were out, payment was either cash or pay online store looks like a mess up front, this one dude will keep telling you not to touch anything. Edit: We did ask the guy if we can browse at the store, and he said yes. We were very respectful and did not touch anything in store. Love this place! Ever since the hubs started his obsession with gundam model building, I've been dragged to lots of gundam selling stores. I have to say that this is by far my favorite place. Customer service is on point here. The guy here is super nice and welcoming but not pushy or weird. You'd be surprised by some weird people who works at these stores. They have a pretty good selection here. The hubs like to order online and then pick up since we live close by and he save on shipping. And he doesn't carry cash and I believe it's cash online in store. The place is nice and clean and you don't feel claustrophobic while inside. Random question for people out there though. What is it with gundam stores and cell phone stores ALWAYS being together? Every gundam stores we been to is attached to a phone store. Like gundams the passion project but doesn't bring in the $$$ so they had to be practical and being home the bacon with a cell phone store? Idk, you tell me. Anyhoo. Love this place. There's very few Gundam stores in the county, and this is probably the best one to go to. It's brightly lit inside, immaculately tidy, organized, and super colorful being surrounded by the massive amounts of kits. You can bring your non-weeb friend here and not be ashamed because it's so clean. The two dudes who run the store are really chill and not creepy, they're super helpful if you ask for it and won't bother you otherwise. Don't make the same mistake I did and be deceived by the front room thinking there's only a sparse amount of kits. All the shelves are in the rooms towards the back! They DO accept credit/debit cards, but you have to buy through the website and choose in-store pick up. The website is actually ideal, if you're looking for a specific model you can find out immediately if they have it. Super easy. Their Facebook page will post pictures when they receive huge restocks so you can check to see if they have anything new before you even go to the store. The prices are great, as far as I can tell it's only a few dollars more than the Japanese retail price on the box. Sometimes even better than Amazon. read more

This place is one of the best places with some if not all the specific tools such as the paint-spray, panel markers, and many more to make a Gundam that fits my expectations. The owner was super nice and he answered all the questions that I had that day about things I didn't know related to Gundam-building. When I walked in there is a lot of Gundam on display to show the amount of skill and time needed to make the Gundam looked amazing. There are many models there to look forward to from grades ranging from SD-grades(cute, chibi forms), High-Grade(beginner-friendly, intermediate), Master Grades(Intermediate-advanced), Perfect Grades(expert) and many more. Model kits are not easy to come by these days... Japanese model kits are even harder to find. Hobbyholics is a nice shop with kind and knowledgeable workers who know what kind of product you need. This is one of my favorite places to shop for gunpla. The staff is very informative and helpful. There is a large selection of choices available and they even have p-bandai kits available. They have a small selection of option parts, paints, and bases. I was told they are looking to expand their inventory of tools and accessories.
