It's been a year since no one has done a review on this store so I'll give an update on it for anyone interested :) especially who are looking for Pokémon packs to rip (hope this review didn't get too popular or else scalpers will come ) To be honest, I have came here the first time during Tết for the food court and then I got full so me and my cousins decided to walk around the Asian Garden Mall, not a lot of stores really caught my attention until I went to Oppa's and found that they got Korean Pokémon packs. I was skeptical and Korean sets weren't that popular at the time so I only strolled around the store for a bit, looking smiskis and Vocaloid chibi figures and then went home, ended the trip I decided to go back to Oppa's the second time for the cards of course after getting stuffed with more food from the night market. Me and my boyfriend went to Oppa's yesterday around 8:45pm, the place filled pretty much plushies and Kpop items, Pokémon cards are opposite to the cashier. We decided to get a pack of Destined Rivals/Glory of Team Rocket for only $2.99 + tax (around $3 something) which is ok since you know the shipping costs as well as they do need some profits on selling stuff as a retail store too. We did a rip test and confirmed that they're real cards btw (purple/blue hue inside, you can find more information from this video https://youtu.be/13UoFipIF4c?si=wEwvg8D0-YPcwo6T) After that we went for 2 more packs before ending our trip, another Destined Rivals/Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave/Hot Air Arena, didn't get any big hits but it was fun after all :) The cashiers were a Korean couple (I think?) and they were very nice to us! I found it funny when the second time we went to get our 2 last packs and the lady looked a bit concerned (and she asked if we were here for packs again, funny ngl because we both financially irresponsible lol) Update on the sets they were having on are: Vstar Universe Scarlet and Violet ex Clay Burst Snow Hazard 151 Raging Surf Ancient Roar Future Slash Shiny Treasure Stella Miracle Paradise Dragona Battle Partners Heat Wave Glory of Team Rocket Vstar Universe w/10 cards for $10.99, 151 w/7 cards for $5.99 and the rest are $2.99 not including taxes yet. Remember to bring cash with you because they have to charge 50 cents more if you're paying with debit/credit card (transactions fee) Overall, great experience! WARNING : DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT NEEDS BATTERY HERE!!! Bought a some HUGGY WUGGY CACTUS TOY for my child marked for $18. I had to put the batteries in the darn thing hoping it would work just as advertised but it didn't . This thing is broken and doesn't dance/wiggle. They must have changed owners! It's no longer the same! They use to have tons of great stuff with some deals and a good variety. The best part was they don't charge tax! But now it still has some cute stuff but it no longer has the same feel. It's just different if you have been going here forever. I still have my stamp cards from EONS ago! lol I use to shop here the most b/c it offered no tax but with that gone there really is no reason to come here anymore as prices have gotten higher and more expensive than the same stores in the Asian Garden Mall. If you are looking for anything in particular or browsing and happen to come across something interesting... you should check out all 4 stores before the purchase b/c they do vary in prices! Out of all the gift shops at the Asian Garden Mall, this one is my favorite! They had cute plush dolls, Sanrio products, lots of pens, rear view mirrors, and tofu pillows!! I bought the bf a green tofu pillow since the price was reasonable. I recall seeing the exact same pillow in one of the gift shops in San Francisco's Japantown. The price was definitely more expensive. I would visit this place again to look for cute souvenirs. However, don't expect much for customer service. The cashier person was eating lunch during the entire time that I was shopping. No hello or anything, until I needed to pay for the tofu pillow. Store takes cash and credit card. You need a $10 purchase in order to charge on the credit card. If you spend a lot of money in this store, I would suggest getting a "Oppa's Value Customer Card." You get a stamp for every $5 purchase. Spend $50 and get a surprise! Three stamps down... 7 more to go. Guess I should come visit Westminster more often. read more

This is the best place if you're looking for random cute stuff or kpop merch! I went to the other 3 shops in the asian garden mall and all of them had squishiest, pens, and a bunch of overall cute stuff. But when I reached Oppa's there was a bunch of cute stuff and merch! I was fangirling inside when I found BTS merch. If you're not into that kpop stuff, I saw a bunch of those funko-pop figures, pillows, and more! I genuinely think it's a place full of random weird stuff but it has some very nice stuff in there. read more

Don't buy from here. I purchased a Sasuke nendoroid from here and they scammed me. I asked the lady if the figure was authentic and if they were used or was damage. She said it was real and it was unused. When I got home to use it, it was broken, and it wasn't real. The parts fell off and I had to glue it back together, the head of the figure cracked open and the body parts were damaged. The box was horrible condition, and I asked for a discount for that and she said no. The lady is manipulating you into buying her stuff. Don't buy the Nendoroids!! They don't even pick up the phone once you call them, don't trust the figures they're fake and used. This place is horrible and the stuff looks amusing but there fake, I wish I could get a refund and talk to their manager. read more

I found this place to be a bit random. It has a little bit of totoro, K boy band merchandise, anime, etc. I got a pair of slippers here, which in my opinion was a bit pricey, but I wasn't sure if they were sold elsewhere. The same slippers are sold on Amazon.com for $5 less. This place also charges tax. Like all the other Vietnamese shops in this mall the items here are most likely Chinese fakes of the Japanese versions. Two young teens were working the cash register. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a family shop and these two girls were working under the table. I suggest going to Amazom.com to buy what you're looking for because this place sells the same stuff for more. read more

This was my first time going to the Asian Garden Mall and when I was there I was a little bummed since I wanted Kpop march. I was't expecting any kpop stores until my cousin pointed out this cute little store. To be honest I thought it was just gotta be just like the other stores that sell squishes and stuff but then I saw BTS march and I freaked out. I didn't really expect EXO or BTS to be in a Vietnamese mall but I was happy when we found it. I bought a wings book, 10 pack of posters plus stickers, and a photo pack. The young woman that was the cashier was so nice. I was fan girling since there was march and she totally understood. She even helped me find some good deals and cute little BTS march items. If you are into kpop or cute little stores I recommend Oppa's. read more

I really enjoyed the store, the staff was kind and explained that the kpop merchandise was shipped from Korea. They had albums for about 45$, which is a good price since with shipping it's usually more expensive. The shop had anime and kpop items. There were a variety of albums, stickers, postcards, pillows, calendars, etc. There were good deals on posters for recent photoshoots and the staff was helpful in explaining the sales and best deals and items to have. read more
