Everything is so cute, it's hard not to shop for yourself as well! The owners are truly the sweetest. Every time I come they will gladly provide any recommendations to find the perfect gift! I was looking for a Miffy plush and they helped me find the one! The owners are also very knowledgeable about all their products as they informed me that the specific teddy material I grabbed was being discontinued so this was the last chance to grab it! Zilly has a great Milly selection -- anything from themed cups to baby rattlers. The store was well put together and had a good atmosphere walking in. The service was friendly. My favorite part here was that when I checked out, the items I picked up were swapped with fresher versions without the price tag sticker. This made it easy to prep as gifts. I have loved Miffy ever since I was a little child. My mother would read me Miffy books in Japanese. So when Miffy finally started to show up locally , I was so excited. Zilly monkey has the best selection in one location outside of Japan. They carry the classic Miffy design merch but also bring in new items as well. The selection is amazing- from Keychains,to plushes to decorations to accessories likes bags and totes! Make a day out in Orange county while visiting this adorable store! Overall, loved the variety of options in this store! Main motive was to find Miffy products for a gift and it did not disappoint. There are Miffy themed cups, keychains, dolls, cards, postcards, car windshield light blockers, gotchas, and so many more solid options! There were even baby Miffy products (doll with teething toy, rattles etc). Only downside was the price since I've found some of these options for cheaper in other stores but the variety of Miffy products were impressive and they definitely had items that other stores did not have! They had items from the 70th anniversary which were a pleasant surprise! Lots of great home items that were Miffy-themed as well as office items and plushies. The owner was really sweet and I had a lovely conversation with her. She is very knowledgable about the items in her store and stocks a variety of items. I could tell she really cares about her customers. I definitely walked out with more stuff than I intended, but I felt good about supporting a small business! MIFFY HEAVEN! Easily the most Miffy I've seen in a shop in SoCal, even taking into consideration what I've seen vendors at cons too. So if you're a Miffy gal this is the place to go and there's lots of items that I have not seen in person for sale, not just for Miffy, but also for Moomin and Chiikawa. Lots of different Miffy plushies in several color ways and materials (corduroy, fluffy, etc.), as well as sizes, Miffy and other cute character collaboration with traditional Japanese art, lots of cute Miffy bags (an omamori style one, small handbags, totebags, I got my friend a cute cross body bag here too), accessories (jewelry, candle holders, stationary, hair clips and scrunchies, household goods, etc.). They even had Miffy luggage and a small vintage style suitcase. For Chiikawa, it's all different from what I've seen at other shops too, like the make up puffs, mesh bags, bento box items, etc. There was also Rilakkuma, Sanrio, Gloomy Bear, Kirby, and other character items too. There are gift sets and I thought it was neat that they had the Holland Miffy items, as well as the nice porcelain goods too. It's a great place to get gifts for friends or family if you know that they like these characters. There are some items on sale and if you compare online, a good chunk of the items are comparable with what the original prices are overseas (factoring in the shipping fee too), but there are some things that are bit pricier, so just keep your phone handy. They seem to also hold events here too like bento box work shops and an upcoming one is with a local artist and temporary tattoos. Would love to come back! read more

The prices are pretty inflated, but many products seem to be imported from overseas. A lot of items here I've never seen elsewhere. Had a horrible experience with this company. Made an international order online and it was cancelled. The amount was deducted in full from my account and then refunded. The total refunded amount was 65$ less due to currency exchange rate. After multiple followups, I was informed that the order was cancelled because the delivery address was in a different country and I was using a foreign credit card. Well duh, it's an international order. The company should have: 1- not accepted 'international orders' and mentioned this clearly on their website 2- refunded the order in total including the currency exchange loss as this is their fault SO disappointed with this company and told all my friends who recommended it to NOT order from this store. read more

This was the most adorable shop! They offer an amazing selection of home decor and collectibles. Like so many others, I found this spot after seeing a TikTok about all the Miffy goodies they carry! As a Miffy enthusiast I've found branded merch so difficult to find! It was love at first sight when I walked in. There were walls full of adorable dolls, keychains, mugs, lamps, pins, magnets, and more! The owner was SO sweet. She took so much care in helping me out. Wow, what a gem of a place in the OC! My wife was giving such high praises to this place about their treasure trove of unique products that I decided to pay a visit myself pre-pandemic a few months back, and she was SO RIGHT!!!! ZillyMonkey has everything from hand soaps, hand sanitizers, cute lamps, and a variety of yummy treats that are difficult to find elsewhere. I am absolutely in love with the Albanese Ultimate Gummy Bears and can't stop eating them. My wife loves their Miffy lamp and aromatic hand soaps!! Their online store even has more products to choose from. It was such a great place to find home decor, houseware and kitchenware items that I never thought I needed especially during these troubling times. They have great gift giving options that definitely brings a smile to both my wife and I because of the uniqueness of these products. When I had a question on a few items, I called the store and the owner was extremely nice, helpful and patient explaining her products to me!! We were running low on hand soap and hand sanitizers and had to replenish and did the contactless curbside pick-up option which was easy, efficient and seamless. If you know about Miffy, you a real one! This little shop in Irvine is awesome for OG Miffy fans and new ones alike. The shop is located in a more industrial plaza, just make sure you look for suite or door number 132 and you'll see the shop. Once you enter, it is quite small inside, but there are tons of gems waiting to be discovered. As the sign outside mentions, only 3 parties are allowed at a time inside. Be prepared to wait until other parties leave before you can come inside. Once you come in, the prices of the items are not listed, but there are QR codes you can scan that will tell you the prices of different items. The woman who operates the shop is also very friendly and welcoming. She is willing to answer any questions you have while you peruse around the shop. Overall, I had to cop wifey a Miffy pin for our first purchase. We will definitely be back next time we're looking for some top tier home decor! read more

[Updated review for their new location!] This place is still super cute! My mother and I came to ZillyMonkey's new location in the Skypark area of Irvine. The space is a LOT bigger than their original store (with just as much charm!) so we were able to walk right in. Due to the new store's size they had so much more cute stuff, including Miffy, Monchichi, Paul Frank, Sanrio, & Rilakumma merchandise. The prices are great and all of the merchandise is adorable! I will always be grateful that this gem of a store is conveniently located in Irvine. read more

A local friend brought me here and I was beyond overjoyed. I got an oversized Miffy tote in a fluffy fabric, Miffy mints, a Boris plush and even some portable stain remover wipes that Vivian recommended. Vivian was lovely and I even got to say hello to her dog, who seemed so sweet and sleepy. They are moving to a larger location in the next few months I believe (though my memory may be failing me), and Vivian gave me some good information about purchasing a large Miffy lamp. She'll have a giant one at the new location!! I'm very excited and so sad that I live out of state. I'm thrilled with my purchases. If my friend hadn't been familiar with the store's current location I probably never would have found it, tucked within an office building. Parking isn't an issue at all. Prices are very fair for the quality of the products and I can tell that Vivian curates the shop with an artistic eye. There's so much to take in within such a small space. I wish I had more luggage space to get a few beautiful vases that I saw on the top shelves. They're gorgeously structured. I'll be back next year with an extra empty suitcase! :) read more

We walked inside and there was a woman moving boxes around. She looked at us but didn't greet us. We thought that maybe they weren't open yet so we asked her. She gave us a snarky look and pointed at the door and said "yes. That's what it says on the door " After that, we just left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Tell me why some basic tote bags are $42 when you can find the same for less than $20 online? I could buy one from the OFFICIAL website, spend $17 on shipping, and it would still be cheaper than what I'd buy from this store! You can see where the retail item prices are crossed out with their high markup above it. Everything in this store is overpriced, and it seems like they don't care about your business; all they want is money. I was browsing around for 15 minutes and was never approached by an employee asking if I needed any assistance. If you want a small miffy plushie, don't expect to spend less than $30 for something really low quality. Also, it's not very easy to find this place. It's in an industrial warehouse area. read more
