Kelly's Toy Stop - Transformers: 40th anniversary Soundwave and masterpiece Jazz! - Toy Stores Near Me - Huntington Beach, California

A store you would expect to see the Big Bang Theory cast in. It's small, but crammed pack of superhero, cartoon, and sci-fi toys and action figures. All behind glass cases so you can touch or damage them. Some are new, most are used, but some of the used ones are in pristine condition. Because it's small, it can get crowed in there really fast. If you're bending down to look at something, people can't really get behind you, so you feel you're in the way. I suggest going into the early morning before the crowd hits. Some of the prices aren't bad, but some are collectors pricing. Still, it's fun to browse if you're into this kind of thing. If you're not, it might be mildly amusing to watch grown men geek over stuff, although there are some Barbie and Disney Princess collectables. Basically, it's a flashback to your childhood that when you see the price their selling for, you wonder why you opened it back then! (Well, you know why, you were a kid, and they cool to play with and show off to your friends.) read more

I've been a toy collector for 30+ years and I need all toy collectors to know, this is the single best toy store I've been to. In my travels, Southern California has the best toy stores and this shop is head and shoulders above the rest. My tastes have grown niche in the last few years and money has gotten tighter but THIS STORE HAS YOUR GRAIL! The owner (I believe) even made me a deal I could not pass up. 15/10 would recommend. read more

Stores like these simply don't seem to exist anymore, so when I rediscovered this shop a month ago, I was really happy. I started visiting this shop around 20 years ago when it was in Anaheim. I'd just graduated college and was beginning to collect, when collecting wasn't quite what it is today. Kelly's shop was right next to the My D-Pins, and I'd visit both places. Her new location is cozy, and the shop is still filled wall to wall with gems. The owner has always been warm and friendly, whether you're browsing, buying, or selling. Wish them continued success. read more

Fun collectible and toy store tucked away in Old World Village. Family decided to tour the village and came across Kelly's Toy Shop while walking around. When inside everything is neat and each display case have similar type theme items in each. Prices are fair and staff is friend. Always willing to open a case to see anything you like. Fun to see transformers, gobots, hot wheels, and an array of other toys to pick from. If in the area and looking for a fun place to shop, then stop on in. read more

An amazing collection of vintage toys, games, and miscellaneous things from your childhood. I was a regular at Kelly's old location and very much appreciated her passion for toys, and even sold her some stuff. She's very friendly and approachable, I didn't see her when I visited the new location but was happy to see the store up and running again. If you can't find it they can find it for you as well. Very cool place. read more

Cute store with a variety of vintage items, it was a walk through memory lane. Looking forward to meeting Kelly herself, very soon. Nice location, easy to visit with ample parking. It's a must visit for Baby Boomers and the new generations to see how toys were truly loved and cherised. read more

Just stopped by yesterday, what a trip down memory lane! I ended up buying a few things for my wife and I but I could have gotten more if my bank account would have let me! There are toys in here I totally forgot about that I had, super fun. Bonus is the friendly owner is up front and obviously you only run this sort of place if you have a passion for it which she clearly does. 100% will come back - I'm glad this place exists! read more

Kelly's Toy Stop - Toy Stores Near Me - Huntington Beach, California

Regardless of age, this toy store is for EVERYONE!! My child soul jumped up & down with joy in this store of great memories!! The nostalgia is palpable! I was there to purchase a birthday gift for a one year old. Now if course I got a noisy lit up plastic toy that will likely break before she has a lasting memory but she loves now.But I also wanted to get a collectible of value that she will always treasure to commemorate the only birthday we get that has no "s" after "year"and will become an antique when she is my age. She was born & lives in California & was born in the Chinese calendar year of the rat. What better than Minnie Mouse??? I found an adorable little music player ceramic I have a birthday mini that plays happy birthday. It is in perfect condition and still has the tag and the price tag from its original purchase from over 50 years ago. Her parents are absolutely delighted in this precious when you're always mesmerized by Minnie mouse spinning around saying happy birthday to her. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase and I have to admit I spent a good hour walking around the store rejoicing in memories of childhood from every era of my life! This is a must experience for sure! The store was a little difficult to find although not the fault of the store itself. It is in a little German shopping village in Huntington Beach and the map at the entryway seems to be turned backwards. I wandered a bit before I discovered that if you come from the parking lot and make an immediate left and go to the end Kelly's toy shop is on the corner at your right. Hopefully that helps! The two gentlemen who were working in the store were incredibly polite and very helpful! My experience there was absolutely joyful! I hope everyone gets to experience & love it as much as I do! read more

Cool little spot in HB. I didn't find what I was looking for but the gentleman working there was really helpful and kind. They have a really good selection of vintage toys and I was surprised to see some vintage and modern hot wheels there. read more

This place is amazing! A large selection of vintage toys including Star Wars, TMNT, Power Rangers, Polly Pocket, Kaiju, WWF, GI Joe and Transformers! Prices were decent. Best of all, the staff is absolutely amazing! Serge and Kelly were helpful, kind and very informative. We are visiting from New Hampshire, but will definitely come back again when we are back in the Anaheim area! read more

I went to this store to sell a couple of reproduction Barbies I had from years back......service was great.

We walked in to see what treasures we'd find inside and it was like I was teleported back in time to my childhood. There were so many vintage toys I haven't seen since then so it was a great walk down memory lane. The toys all seemed to be in good shape and organized by type and it seemed by period. I saw really vintage toys from the 50's too. If you're a toy collector and looking for that rare find this might just be the place. Just a tip, I didn't see any new toys so don't come here looking for that! read more

I LOVE KELLY'S TOY STOP!!! Kelly's Toy Stop is an eclectic mixture of vintage toys, collectibles and affordable contemporary toys. The shop is set up like a very kid friendly version of a small antique mall, complete with showcases, displays and vintage decorations. There is something here for every interest, price point and customer. Kelly is one of the COOLEST people I have ever met in my entire life!!! She proudly sells such hard to find items as Redline Hot Wheels, vintage Barbie Dolls, Bob's Big Boy memorabilia, vintage action figures and more! She has amazing customer service skills and is always willing to take the time to help you find exactly what you're looking for. This shop is a truly amazing find. Most people who are in the collectible toy field are not friendly or cool like Kelly and her awesome staff. Everybody at this store is so nice and seems genuinely enthusiastic about their love for what they do! I really think highly of Kelly's Toy Stop and I hope you will too! read more

My sons and I have been toy hunters for years. This means, we've been around. i've known Kelly since she had her old shop in Anaheim. Years later, she's still the same Kelly - friendly, knowledgeable and totally the ultimate professional. This time, in this neatly tucked store in the heart of German town Huntington Beach, she has Serge, an amazing, equally knowledgeable and very friendly, totally nice guy (the Robin to her Batwoman? ha ha!). Serge recognizes his customers' needs and he attends to them on a special person to person basis. Hard to find a nicer fellow nowadays especially in this business. The store itself is like magic. We just love to browse through the numerous items they sell. Action figures, movie and TV toy memorabilia, etc. etc...Kudos to Kelly, Serge and this amazing toy store. So, if you're in the mood for the best strudels, take time to visit Kelly's. read more

This place is AWESOME! Every vintage toy lives here:-). You will find something, from your childhood that made you happy! The prices are phenomenal! They will also make reasonable deals with you. I walked in and nearly fainted! I LOVE vintage toys and found many things here. Things I was not looking for, but bought:-). Let's see, they were Playskool familiar places McDonald's restaurant workers, Vintage Fisher Price Little People, and a Happy Family pregnant Midge Barbie. YAY! Serg was the young man that helped me. He was very kind and knowledgeable. His customer service skills are great! I called looking for a 1970 Barbie RV and they had it! He also, sent me pictures to make sure it was the correct one! So kind!!!!! One thing I forgot to point out was, the customers were all in good spirits! Everyone chatting and happy buying treasures of childhood! FUN!!!!!! read more

Went in on a Saturday about 330ish, walked around saw some TMNT figures. Bumped into a dude named "Serj". Very nice guy. Tons of old school toys and a bit new. Serj gave me a killer deal on a couple of figures and knocked off about $8. Totally worth going to and I will be back to get more. Great place, friendly staff. Easy to love. Try the strudel shop to the right as well. Holy moly. Enjoying my Napoleon Bonafrog and Mondo Gecko figures. read more

This store is like walking in on Christmas Morning. The thrill that jumps in my heart is real. So many choices and so much fun! Toys from many genres, Star Wars, Gi Joe, Lego, Hot Wheels, My little Pony, Disney and the list goes on and on. The owner is a wonderful friendly shop owner (perfect for the charming Old World Village)who not only knows her stuff but displays a charm that just doesn't exist as much as it should these days. Think of a cross between Yoda's Wisdom and Mrs. Brady's love. The gentleman who helped me was fun, pleasant, and on point with his collector knowledge. He is a fun person who seems to love what he does. Truly if you were a kid who woke up watching Saturday morning cartoons and can remember playing with your favorite toys they probably have it or will have it here. I highly recommend stopping in and feeling some nostalgia. You just might walk out with that toy we're dreaming about on Christmas Eve that always eluded you! read more

Great place to find incredible toys and collectibles from various eras at fair prices and they constantly rotate stock . Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I frequent Frank and Sons collectible show and though Kelly's toy stop is significantly smaller it has plenty of parking and plenty of space to browse with comfort. I left the store with plenty of goodies and did not break the bank. It's also great that they allow you to examine an item before you purchase. This store breathes new life into Old World in Huntington Beach which is a place that I am ashamed to say I had no idea existed until Kelly's Toy Stop moved here. I'm a morning guy so I hope to come out to Old World once a month, have breakfast, and hit Kelly's Toy Stop! read more

It used to be the same people at ball and beach a few years back. They ripped me off on a mass toy sale when I was in a bit of a pinch. Do not do business with them much like a ripoff pawn shop read more

This place is awesome. My era is '65 to '83, or as I refer to it, "Trek to Jedi". What's in-between? Apes, Six Million, Mego, Galactica, Buck Rogers... I walk into Kelly's and I hand over my wallet. Last time, they had lots of what I typically look for. I made a (hopefully incorrect) declaration to the very friendly (and knowledgeable) young cashier, "It will never be this good here again", I couldn't believe the wealth of hard-to-find goodies! I tend to assume everyone is looking for the same stuff as I, but having been in Kelly's a few times, I see hardcores for Disney, Barbie, GI Joe - all sorts - she's got it covered. AND, possibly best of all, they've worked with me price-wise, without hesitation. I don't immediately get discouraged by the sticker price! Now that Bunky Brothers and the best shops in Pomona's Antique Row are closed, and Frank and Sons are delusional with their pricing, Kelly's is the last-standing awesome vintage toy shop. I hope she NEVER closes! read more

First time came here because recommendations from other people but it's really annoying to see couple of their customers I guess just standing right the counter and talking to the owner for a while(one of them I would say at least an hour or more).I understand either customers want to talk or hang out at the store(some people love doing that I guess)or the owner being nice for customers service but couldn't help much with other customers come there to look for stuff they want and ask questions because first of all the owner is too busy talking with them second of all store is soo tiny for too many people to hang around be aware ur time if u have plenty time to waist read more

Hi Kelly gurl! I have know Kelly over 32 yrs. Kelly is a hard working woman. I stumbled into her shop yrs ago when getting my second tattoo near by. Son and I were so shocked that she was the Owner of Kelly's. We walked in and felt like we were in a child's dream all the toys I remembered as a kid they were right there...for me to buy, to Own and to touch! I am a very serious doll collector my collection started in the 70's to current 2017, had to buy every Christmas Barbie too...Bob Mackie's and I own the first Transgender Barbie doll was a out 300 bucks when they came out pre ordered. I saw dolls in Kelly's that I had to have so I bought the Sonny Bono and Michael Jackson by Barbie I love those 2 dolls. If you love toys you will love this shop but word of advice leave the tots home this is more of a KB for adults not kids. Hey Kelly girl hit me up...do uou have the entire Pussy Cat doll first collection I am interested. Peach read more

Quite an interesting and unique shop. Coming here is like getting a blast from the past. The ship literally has toys from even the 70s, but a lot of the 80s and 90s, which I grew up on. The store is neatly displayed for the size of the shop. The shopkeepers could open.a toy Museum if they at least had double the stuff; even while using their current organization system. read more

The best toy shop I've ever been to, hands down. The owner, Kelly, as well as Serge and everyone else we've dealt with there have been so kind to us and our children and so helpful. Our son Jackson LOVES his trips to 'Miss Kelly's' shop, usually in search of Legos and Ninja Turtles. She's even set aside some Ninjago sets she thought he'd like for the next time we came in. Our daughter Paisley also found a Swan Lake ballerina Barbie here that she adores. This place is a hidden gem and we're so happy to have found it! read more

I recently found out about this store and decided to check it out today. At first it was a little hard to find because it's tucked away in a corner of this German themed plaza. The owners are friendly, helpful, and chats with the customers. Inside has a nostalgic feel. There are many shelves filled with really cute vintage toys and collectibles. The prices are pretty reasonable. Overall, I would definitely come here again to shop. Highly recommended! read more

Nirvana for nerdy collectors who scour endless aisles looking for that one awesome item, this place has more than enough hidden gems to aid in emptying your wallet. On my last trip in, I score an inflatable Godzilla punching bag from 1985 for $50, marked down from $75. It was one of those purchases I had to make, since I've never seen one before (and I was around when they were produced) and I'm willing to bet I won't see another for a while, if ever. They've got collectibles from Disney, old horror stuff, comic book characters, rare '70s and '80s toys... really, there's just too much in here to list it all. Suffice it to say, if you're the kind of collector who relishes in obtaining items both arcane and extremely difficult to find (even online) then you'll want to stop in here and give their cases a look. read more
