Great local game shop. I just walked out of here with three N64 games in hand after not planning to buy anything when I first walked in. This place is awesome. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the guy who helped me, but he was friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe and atmosphere was great! read more

Over priced, soulless, and just devoid of actual passion. Imagine walking into your game store and the salesperson there isn't interested in selling but just saying anything that will get you out of the store. I don't go into a game store knowing exactly what I want every time but I would like to have someone who actually wants to be there and is craving conversation to be constructive about gaming experiences to make the buyer excited to purchase games. The sad part is I would have bought something but he just made me feel so self concious I had lost interest in getting anything. If you work at a game store. Be passionate about video games. Make a point that supports gaming that shows you want to highlight and sell. Not oh I'm into retro but um yeah you're into your opinion I guess. Wow dude... why not just tell me a game? A game? Any game? No? Ok I'm gone. Thanks though... read more

The have the biggest selection of ds, gameboy, gba, n64, nes, genesis, Dreamcast, switch games and more. The owner is the coolest and enjoys talking about any game. He has a wealth of knowledge and actually cares about retro gaming. His employees are cool too also talk about the games. They love answering questions and will take care of you. I used them recently to clean my cd collection and their prices were super fair. They take trades as well and have fair prices on trade ins. Ive purchased all of my n64 games here and some of my gameboy games. They all work and he cleans them before you leave. I will always be coming back to this store. read more

We came in to get our PS5 controller stick drift fixed. Another reviewer stated they fixed the issue here (but the review seemed to be for Game Geeks in garden grove). The employees at the store were extremely friendly and apologetic. What I appreciated most was the gave us the name of the other store in Garden Grove in hopes that they could help. They had a ton of cool nostalgic games and systems available as well! What a cool place to shop for classic and new games . Hope to come back and buy some games soon! read more

Been to this shop few times. The staff is friendly, personable, and professional. They have a good variety of common and rare games. Overall the last few visits I've gotten some banger common games like Lord of the Rings Return of the King at a reasonable price. I've also gotten some repairs done for my Dreamcast when no other repair or retro shops in the area would take the job. It was done very quickly, same day when reviews of other shops would be weeks. Overall this shop feels like it's run by legit honest people, in a time where many more retro shops are looking to over charge post pandemic/video game grading bubble. They also have Instagram where they update with their latest stock and various skits. read more

The workers there are nice, the selection is pretty good, and it made me stop and look around the store. 10/10

Been going here for about 3 years to get games resurfaced since he did them for an affordable price and he was always kind when me and another person came in. Here's the thing and why I'm writing a bad review the past three times I've gone in as of recently he's been a bit rude the first two times he resurfaced the game but not to the same quality he used to and would give attitude when we said it wasn't the same quality it used to be the second time he told us to go somewhere else when we said something. Which I really liked coming here and would love to come back but we came back a final time which third time is the charm as I said and we wanted to try again this time the guy flat out said "nope I don't wanna do it" and we left. If this is how you're treating people for who have been coming for years then you need to improve your customer service and be a bit nicer to people. read more

Impressed with the selection. Picked up 3 retro games at really good prices, and an adapter. Definitely returning again.

Currently the best retro game store in Southern California . The employees are very respectful, knowledgeable, and the prices are fair .

One of the best parts of this place is how knowledgeable the staff is about their games and systems. Everything is priced fairly and its fun to just go in and talk to them about games. They probably have some of the best selection of gamecube games out of all the socal game stores especially as they get harder and harder to find. They test all their games on the spot and ive never gotten bad products from them. Also they're just super helpful i even brought in a wii i bought online for cheap that didnt have the hookups and they tested that for me to see if it worker, then gave me a good deal on third party hookups!! One of my favorites read more

I didn't buy anything here on my visit, but their prices are fairly decent for a video game store. I'll definitely buy here if they have a game I want at a good price. The people working here are honest and seem to enjoy giving back to the community. read more

No prices on anything in the store... not very organized. nobody wants to sit there & have to ask for a price for Every single thing & then have to wait 5 minutes just to find out that the game is double the price of what you could buy it at online or any reasonable priced store. Stores like this ruin the hobby for people. Do you're research before you over pay on a game or console here read more

Fixed the stick drift in my ps5 controller. Works flawlessly and haven't had any issues since !

Best game store in LA/OC Prices are at market and the owner and workers are amazing. I always come here whenever I'm in the area. They are miles in front of the competition. read more

Found this place after getting back into retro games and was very impressed with the whole experience. The selection is insane but only if you dig Xbox specifically 360 and Xbox One and Wii. They have Switch, GameCube, and PlayStation, yes but when we went the selection outside of 8th gen was a little low and Gameboy games were a sort of desert. Loved the selection of other stuff like hotwheels, cards, and funkos as well. Prices were relatively close to market value anywhere else and I loved how the guys were meticulous to make sure my copies were cleaned and presentable prior to purchase. Will definitely be a repeat customer every time I'm near Disneyland! read more

Diagnosed and fixed some ps5 controller problems I had. Dudes were cool and down to earth. Def recommend to people in the area

These people are crooks. They sell things scratched and not working properly and when you ask for a refund they accuse you of damaging the item! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to get retro games. read more

The service is excellent, all the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on all of their stocks and can answer any gaming related questions you can possibly have! Their selection of games is top notch out doing even some of the bigger chain game shops, honestly their collection puts those other shops to shame. Finally their value is unmatched, some of the best games on most of the platforms sold here are priced affordably allowing anyone from any economic background to enjoy video games. Overall a 5 star location and should be THE place you shop for video games in OC and Anaheim. read more

PROS: Prices are fair and generally in the range of sold eBay listings, so you're definitely getting decent deals. They have a good amount of retro games for pretty much all consoles. The store owner is really great and honest, he takes in trades but also let me know that it's always best to sell my games on eBay . CONS: There's very few rare games available. If you're looking for retro games that normally sell for $100+ you will most likely not find any here. read more

Amazing customer service I went in looking for another gba sp charger as mine was making a weird humming noise. I didn't catch his name but he tried the charger before purchasing to make sure it didn't hum. I also came back to purchase something else after and he gave me a discount on a game. Aaron who I believe is the manager is always welcoming as well. Highly recommended this place if you need retro games there is a good collection of games and consoles will definitely be coming back! They do have a outside repair guy as well who is very communative and fixed my pikachu ds. This si my go to place for retro games stuff! read more

Been here a couple times once in a blue moon. Stopped by earlier today with a big haul of a PS3 / Wii / GameCube lot. Met the new Aaron and was super helpful of helping me system check & get estimates of how to go about reselling them, as well as buyout quotes if I were to do a buyout with them. No pressure all relaxed zone. Aaron was really there for me to know exactly what I had at hand and the options I can go about it. I eventually chose to try to move the lot myself for now, but definitely have these guys in mind for any other potential network opps / moves. That really meant alot. On another note, these guys have a wide range of all the retro gaming stuff. From the first Atari to the PS4 / XBox One. This is a must visit for all video gamers and collectors / dealers. You never know you just might find something you been looking for here. or they'll help you find it. read more

Video Game Geeks - They are selling pop's here now awesome - Video Game Stores Near Me - Anaheim, California

Great deals and an awesome amount of classic game systems and accessories. I've been coming here for over ten years and I love it.

Don't shop here. First, the single employee there in the shop sits in a back room that has a little window into the store and ignores you until you show interest in something. I've had to walk over to the door that is behind a counter to get an employee's attention before to get service (this has been the same experience every single time I've been there going on several years.) This is not a big shop so there's no reason I should have to chase an employee down to get service. Next they sell defective product. I bought a Super Nintendo from them about 6 months ago (from when I'm writing this) and the output was filled with green lines all over the place on the screen no matter what I did. I ended up having to get it fixed myself because they don't do repairs (while I admit it was cheap to get it fixed, I still had to do it.) I figured it was a one off and that you're not gonna win every single time you buy used. Boy was I wrong with this store. My next problem over defective product with this store was that I bought a controller from them and the joysticks don't work (I might add that their employee claimed it was tested and worked like new when I asked him in the store.). I called and asked what their return policy was for defective product and they offered me a trade of equivalent value and that was it. I told them I want my money back because it was sold to me under false pretense and the guy told me that I get a trade for it and that's it. I paid nearly full price for a USED controller that doesn't work($48) and then I ended up buying an identical brand new one sealed in its original box off the shelf elsewhere for almost the same price ($50.) Granted if the controller had worked, it was in good condition aesthetically so I wouldn't care that it was used but it's useless and they refuse to give me a refund for a product they claimed worked like new. Judging by comments made on other reviews, I'm sure the manager will comment on my review disparaging my review and my want for a refund. This place and the employees associated with it need some work with their customer service across the board. Maybe tell your employees not to lie about product to make sales. read more
