I've compared them against a couple of other local shops and even many vendors at Frank & Sons, and A&N usually comes out ahead. What really stood out during our latest visit was how fair they were with store credit. I brought in some cards from my personal collection that I was willing to part with, and they offered a value that felt reasonable and honest. That store credit quickly turned into Pokémon packs for the kids, which immediately made their day. Seeing my kids walk out of the store excited and holding their new haul reminded me why we keep coming back. Good prices, fair trade values, and a family friendly experience go a long way. As of this review, they're currently having a 40% sale of the entire store with a section that's 50% off. I've seen them vend at a lot of SoCal anime conventions, always seeing attendees carry around their logo shopping tote bags with purchases, but alas I feel like the location (swaths of closed shops in the mall) things didn't line up, sadly. There's some cute photo opportunities and there's a decent mix of nerdy collectible goods there like Pop Up Parade figures, Nendoroids, Figma, Funko Pops (ugh), some western media (Star Wars and Stranger Things), Poke'mon goods (cards and some vintage figures), and blind boxes. Was very neat that they had Fate figures since I don't see that as often anymore, unless it's only prize figures, but they had the Figma for Okita Alter, the scale figure for Skadi, and Saber Alter Copoche. Trust me, you'll probably leave wanting to start a new collection. I tagged along with my boyfriend since he's a serious collector of One Piece trading cards, but as someone who also loves anime, superheroes, and toys, I was just as excited to browse. The moment we walked in, I immediately understood why Toy Arena has such a great reputation among collectors. The selection here is absolutely incredible. I honestly don't think I was prepared for just how much they had. Everywhere I looked there was something that caught my attention. The store carries an impressive variety of Transformers, Gundam model kits, superhero collectibles, anime figures, Pokémon merchandise, trading cards, and so much more. It was almost overwhelming--but in the best way possible. I actually wish I had spent even more time exploring because there was simply too much to take in during one visit. As a huge Spider-Man fan, I was completely distracted by their amazing selection of Spider-Man and Spider-Verse figures. They had so many different versions and poses that I found myself stopping every few feet to admire another one. Looking back, I honestly regret not buying one because now I can't stop thinking about them. I don't even collect action figures...yet. It really shows how much pride the staff takes in preserving their inventory. One thing that really surprised me was their selection of hobby supplies. They carry various Mr. Color paints by GSI Creos, which I learned are incredibly popular among Gundam builders and scale model enthusiasts because of their vibrant colors, fast drying time, and durable finish. I've never worked on a model kit before, but it was really cool seeing that they stock professional-grade supplies for hobbyists. It's nice knowing that if I ever decide to dive into building Gundams or other model kits, they'll already have everything I need. Another thing I appreciated was how clean and organized the entire store was. Despite carrying thousands of products, everything felt neatly displayed and easy to browse. Nothing felt cluttered or chaotic, which made it even more enjoyable to slowly walk through every aisle and admire all the different collectibles. Horror fans will have plenty to geek out over too! I was so excited to spot life-size Chucky and Bride of Chucky dolls that immediately caught my attention. They were such a fun surprise among all the anime and superhero collectibles. To top it all off, the customer service was wonderful. The cashier was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help, making the entire shopping experience even better. It's always nice visiting a specialty store where the staff is just as pleasant as the atmosphere.
