Order from them online, made contact with somebody who told me they had the item in stock for two days by email before purchasing, paid $327 that I am waiting to be refunded to my My Account account because they never shipped it, they stated they refunded the money and it never posted to my account so now I am going to have to dispute it with my bank. This is not a legitimate business, I do not know how the actual store is, but they are not legitimate online do not order from them. They will steal from you. The owner replied that it was automatically canceled because of fraud when everything else that I bought today went through without a problem. I'm sitting on a well over 20 K in that account, and when I tried to call the business, there is nobody to speak to it goes to a voicemail telling you to contact their email. So if this guy really cared about a sale, he would be contacting me right now trying to make things right and get me to buy the product because I actually did need it for a gift and it's going to be hard to source elsewhere. Amazing shop in the Southern California areas. They got huge and vast stock for those who like anime figures and mecha models/toys. Situated in the SGV, it got a huge mecha stocks and very impressive Goodsmile nendoroid stocks. For those who are collectors for these two, you probably can find something that you like here. I was able to find a few nendoroids that I was looking for but unable to find in Japan last month! But if you are looking for prize anime figures, then this is not the place for you. I honestly wouldn't mind paying this much on a normal basis it's that good. Service? Don't get me started. The people inside are just a whole other level of friendly. The staff are so welcoming, and the other shoppers like me are just so invested in what they enjoy, it's so heartwarming. Their actual store near La puente had way more options, store was really clean, organized, & categorized if you're looking for something specific. I have nothing but GREAT words for this store! I placed an online order using SHOP (for payment plan option) on Friday afternoon. My order was ready for pickup the next day. Parking was a little small so I recommended finding street parking to avoid the tiny parking spots they have. The entrance greets you was a BEAUTIFUL display of Gundam, Figuarts, etc. Keep walking down the store and you'll enter the main area which houses THOUSANDS of figures. These range from Bandai to Marvel Legends just to name a few!! They have a great selection and their prices are GREAT. NO scalping or overpricing from the items I personally bought and the selection I saw and would grab to look at. MSRP for the win! The store may seem a bit small and possibly claustrophobic with the tight aisle spaces but having AC on will help keep you distracted. Plus there just so much to look at! The customer service was TOP NOTCH!! I waited in line and was greeted by a very polite young gentleman (didn't get a name) and told him my order #. The process was so seamless and I LOVED the security of making sure it was MY actual order. They asked me for the basics: Order #, name etc. I really appreciate that because not just anyone can walk up and say they are you and potentially steal your stuff. So hats off to their security system! My Yu-Gi-Oh figures were all sold to me BRAND NEW, AUTHENTIC & the boxes were in perfect condition! I cannot wait to go back and look around more! This place is a gem! We don't come often but we've been by a couple times in the last few months and we've always found a thing or two to bring home and build. The prices are also more than fair and they even have an instagram with all the happenings and an online store for more convenience. The service here is always friendly. Goodluck if you have a problem with an item you bought from them. They don't answer their phone and if you email them you will get a generic email referring you to the maker of the item (goodluck with that also). Tried everything we could to get a refund on the defective item but they will just give you a run around thru the generic email which is very frustrating. I think this is their modus operandi. Tried to take a photo of a display gundam to send to a friend and they got aggressive and angry that I was taking a photo. I've been a regular at their frank and sons booth for years before they opened up an actual warehouse with showroom. Prices used to be really good and pretty much retail but have increased by quite a lot over these past 3-4 years. Limited kits are priced at triple their retail value or more regardless of rarity. I have stopped shopping here as much because of these changes. I stopped by this warehouse for the first time and the only thing going for it was that they had some older kits that were sold out in other places. Overall, this is not a must stop shop for collectibles. Prices are just a bit cheaper than buying online after shipping. There are other shops in LA that are even cheaper with more variety of goods. read more

This is my first ever Yelp review! I normally don't give feedback unless asked, but I liked this store enough that it seemed worth the time. I recently became obsessed with a new anime and really wanted a figurine of my favorite character. The problem was, they're ridiculously expensive in most online stores. The typical price for that brand of figure (Nendoroid) is $50-$60 before shipping; the one I wanted is discontinued and difficult to find, so it's even more expensive (between $70 and $150 on most sites, if you want one that's sure not to be a knockoff). I scoured SOOO many websites and obsessively used my coupon extension, but nothing was affordable. Until I found ToyArena's site. I found my figure there for $35-ish, and with shipping it was $46. I was kinda worried it was too good to be true but took a gamble and ordered -- and behold! My little guy arrived in mint condition! Clearly not a knockoff. I've purchased knockoff Nendoroids before and they're way lower-quality than the one I ordered from here. The package actually showed up 5 days earlier than the shop estimated, too. I suppose that part is more of a credit to USPS than ToyArena, but regardless, it left a good impression on me from this store. They also shipped out my figurine the day after I purchased it and packaged it in plenty of bubble wrap so it survived the journey. I didn't interact personally with any staff/support so I can't speak for how helpful the customer service is, but based on how carefully and efficiently they handled my order, I have to assume they're good at their job. TL;DR: They sold me a usually-expensive figure for a really good price and the shipping was super quick. I'll be checking their site again the next time I feel like impulsively purchasing an anime figure for my shelf :) read more

It's a great local place that sells robot toys like Gundams and Transformers as well as GI Joe and anime/manga toys. I came here and bought a masterpiece that wasn't in their website, but asked them in person, and they were able to locate it for me. They can also ship locally, so it's pretty convenient. They do close early, the showroom probably pales in comparison to their warehouse since they try to be an online shop as well. Toy Arena is the definition of a hidden gem because you wouldn't expect a typical-looking warehouse building to house so many collectibles, figurines, and merchandise. As a Gunpla fan, I sometimes make a pit stop here with coworkers during my lunch break. They have a large variety of model kits and other anime/pop culture memorabilia. And for the prices, they are pretty fair. Toy Arena also has their own booth at Frank & Son in City of Industry. So, you'll be able to catch them in two cities. I ordered a figure through Shopify I waited on my order to show up it said it was going to be delivered by the mailman the tracking said that the package has been delivered I have cameras on my house I sat and watched the mailman deliver my mail without the package talk to the mailman and he said that there was no package so I filed a claim with the toy arena about my missing package they told me to get with the post office I got with the post office the post office said that the tracking number have been delivered but there was never a package it's been nothing but run around so I filed a dispute with my bank my bank told me that my dispute was denied I don't understand I spent $50 on a figure that I never received I think it's unfair toy arena sucks they don't even have a phone number for you to call and talk to someone directly they want you to do it through email and every time you have to wait 24 to 48 hours for them to respond back the guy told me through toy arena that the claim he would send me through email he sent it through email the next day I went on to file the claim he it would not take the claim so I emailed them back another three days later they said that it laps out of time because I took a few days no I did it the next morning it took them three more days to get back a hold of me I think it is unfair I have no figure I'm out of $50 I'll never use this company again they suck stick with big bad toy store or entertainment Earth do not use toy arena they suck read more

I was looking for these model kits but most places wanted double or triple the price - they are old and hard to find but they were from my childhood I wanted to build again esp during this pandemic. I ordered it last week and I was doubtful but in about 1 week it arrived safe and sound at my door . Still doubtful I opened up the package and legit smiled all three neon genesis mode kits were there. I posted a review on Facebook and the company got back to me about a return but they then made the return process a horrible experience. GO ELSEWHERE. Update: First of all if you have a return make sure you take pictures/video of the item AS you open it because they need proof that THEY did a crap job shipping the item. Second keep the packing receipt because they are more concerned about who shipped the item than actual customer service. Third they DID offer a refund or a discount if I kept the item but I had to inquire about if it was a FULL refund (meaning shipping as well) and that was not answered. Fourth I had to ask if they were sending me a return shipping label (businesses actually do that) and Fifth when I finally get the label they are telling me: "Please attached this to the box and make sure everything is complete. You can stop by the any local post office, however, please make sure they scan the bar code and give you a receipt. This would make sure they don't misplace or lose the package. This happens very often especially during the busy season." Like bro, I am not the one who packed the item like crap in the first place. So I just dropped it because this business made the return process such a hassle. For example: whats does "make sure everything is complete." mean? is there additional steps? The return process is dragged out and ridiculous. I rather contact the BBB, post on yelp, and google about the experience so collectors can go elsewhere. read more

I have purchased 4 items from toyarena. 3 of them arrived defective. The first was a Masterpiece Exkaiser years ago. The figure while advertised as new was obviously used with chipped paint two bent left hands instead of the normal holding hand and an extra store. They had me ship the item back and swapped out the figure with one with equally bad paint but the correct parts. Second was a Robot spirits Gurren repair that was on sale. The item arrived with a cracked arm joint. Upon return for a replacement they stated that every example they had was also broken in the same manner and refunded me. They also took the item off sale and listed it for $40 more than what I paid. Incredible. Third was a robot spirits L-Gaim Mk2. One of the panels on the back was incorrect and was a double of the left side and was haphazardly glued onto the figure. Upon return toyarena accused me of losing a part which is unlikely as the moment I found the incorrect part I took pictures for the return and repacked the figure. The forth and only good purchase was a S.H.Figuarts Shenron. While the figure arrived ok bits of the plastic tray in the figures box shatted which is a first in my collection of around 200 figuarts. I cannot fathom how one store can consistently sell defective merchandise from bandai and takara of all companies and I am convinced toyarena sells defects and return stock at overpriced markups. read more

One star for the Hot Toys they sell, good prices. One star for the tall guy works at Hot Toys booth. And that's pretty much it. I had to visit the store in person, to cancel a pre-order placed with them, because it's been over 6 months after the official release, and I still haven't received anything(including email). To be honest, I was there neither to blame them, nor to just get a 20 bucks deposit refund. I was there to see if there is anything good that I can pick up. However, during the refund process at the Japanese figure/gunpla booth, I was surprised to see such bad attitude from the guy (taller guy with no glasses). After knowing I was there to get my pre-order deposit back, he didn't even try a bit to hide his long face. When the guy with glasses was checking my pre-order history, I asked the guy a few questions about the items presented in the store, and he didn't even reply a word. Do I look like I owe you money? You owe me, actually :) After I took my deposit back, I turned to the hot toys booth, because I see someone that's very helpful, and truly loves toy collectables. The tall guy with the red shirt (didn't have a chance to ask his name, unfortuenately) was very helpful and makes really suggestions on Hot Toys. Because of him, I purchased a Hot Toys Spiderman advanced suit instantly. That's how you do sales, if you are friendly and knowledgeble, try to communicate with your custiomers, your stuff will always sell. I will still buy from the store because of the good price(sometimes), and a friendly staff. But please be aware, the attitude of the guy you hire can get you a returning customer, and can also make them never come back. read more
