What is disappointing about this location is the lack of urgency at check out. There's only one cashier and two if you're lucky. The line wrapped today so they called for a third. All the employees move slower than molasses in January, don't know if they are burned out from the holidays or just too new to be comfortable with the work requirements. Beyond disappointing by how they treat customers. Tonight I shopped at this location and the new LP man was being unnecessarily rude to customers. He kept making remarks for people to hurry up and leave; one of his unnecessary comments were "you should've shopped sooner" and "hurry up, I want to go home," directing all these comments to every customer near his vicinity. We are also associates under the same company at a different location, and we never treated customers this way even when it came towards closing. The manager defended his poor conduct too. Shopping in Pasadena, California... I forgot to bring my jacket. It was a 66-degree afternoon, but I knew that I was going to a movie screening in the evening. It's too inconvenient to go get my jacket... why not just buy one? I chose Marshall's because I'm a card member. We get 5 percent off purchases, points that add up to Rewards, early access on certain days, and invited to special events. Besides needing a jacket (I found a cool one with pockets on the sleeves on the clearance rack), I also wanted to look at the cute Korean skin care products, and use the restroom. All goals were met! Sales associates were helpful and friendly! The dressing room attendant let me place my treasures at her station. The cashier, Miranda, encouraged me to link my card to the app so I can view my Rewards and pay my bill online! Wow... so much more efficient! read more

You do have some friendly people that are not so friendly but what bothers me the most is when the transit go in there and they shoplift right in front of me and walk out the door. Unfortunately, no, we could do nothing about it. But it's good to see lost prevention there when they're there. By far the worst Marshalls I've been to. It's soooo insanely cluttered. Nothing is organized and everything is just randomly thrown on shelves. I was looking for a cutting board and it was like playing jenga to get one out. Then a whole avalanche of them fell (almost on my foot which would've hurt)! Barely any space to walk between displays. Also in a pretty ghetto and shady area. I didn't really feel safe in the parking lot. That's if you can get a parking spot because they're really aren't any . They share a tiny parking lot with BevMo. They also don't carry of the nice soaps that I normally go to Marshalls for. Very tiny selection of kitchen items as well. Seriously don't bother with this location. read more

This is a review of the facility, the bathroom situation that seems like all Marshall's are having problems with. I don't know if is the contractor that builds the Marshall's, but let me tell you is DISGUSTING I'm literally afraid of going in there and catching s desease from all the mold and who knows whatever is in there. I just got back to this location today due to allergy issues and needed to return underwear that I've got 10 days ago and I had a check but no tags since I wash all underwear before wear it. The manager of the store refuse to return money even though I said it caused me allergy reactions. I win't shop this brand and at this location ever again. read more

I haven't been to a Marshall's in ages. This store is located next to BevMo! And I always tell myself I should go in and check it out. I decided to finally go and see what I could pick up for Holiday gifts. I was surprised with how well organized the store was. Perhaps, it was because it was early in the day. I took my time to go through the isles to see what I could find for my extensive list. I scored some good deals and purchased a number of gifts. Mission accomplished. By the time I was done there was a small line but it moved quickly. The checkers were fast, friendly, & efficient. I think the best time to come is early to avoid the crowds. *Ample parking in the lot. Be sure to read the parking signs before parking on the street. read more

But the last few times I've been there with all respect, your hired "undercover" make themselves extremely obvious. And to see that you have this service and yet these thieves walk right out, what's the point? Not sue what's going on, but seems Amish every time there someone walking right out with arms full of stuff. Very uneasy going there now. I love going to Marshalls! This Pasadena location is the most organized one I've been to. The parking lot is shared with Bevmo. I normally have no trouble finding a parking space. During pandemic, there was staff at the door counting the numbers of people going in and out. Also, the staff would sanitize the cart before you grab one. There were signs on the floor saying walk this way or that way for social distancing but people weren't following at all. I would like to give a shout-out to Summer at the cashier. I had some problems with my store credit card while paying. She patiently waited and suggested me to call the customer service. I really liked her attitude. Good job! read more

Honestly prefer going to TJ Maxx or Home Goods over Marshalls but I actually LOVE coming to this particular Marshalls because its very well organized, clean and everyone who works here are so so friendly! Hair products are one of my favorite aisles to run through because they have many brands to choose from at affordable prices. The stuff they carry indeed varies by locations but I am usually lucky with this one! As far as pet supplies here, not the best because I never really see new stuff or they are just being sold out really quick. Others like TJ Maxx or Home Goods definitely have more selections to choose from. When they opened after being closed for a long time due to coronavirus, line to enter the store was super long and even to check out, it took forever. I didnt go on the first day but the following week and still had heavy traffic. As a friendly welcome-back gesture, they were also handing out free bottled water to those who needs it. I Came in yesterday night almost 1 whole hour before They announced that they were closing but was already in line a lady charged me and just as I was about to leave (I was still inside the store and I hadn't walked out yet) I really needed to use the restroom after I had already paid for my items and I start making my way to the back and an old white lady that was standing by the entrance doors yells at me and says MAM WE ARE CLOSED! and I told her I just needed to use the restroom and the time was 9:30pm right exactly when they had just closed and she said "NOPE WE ARE CLOSED. And I told her again I just needed to use to restroom and she replied YEA I WANT TO USE THE RESTROOM TOO. under her breath thinking we couldn't hear her. I was shocked because everyone there was really nice with smiles except for that old lady's nasty attitude and disrespect. Utterly disgusting. I'm not sure if that's how she always treats customers and other employees but that's really sad. I feel for them because I would not want to work or shop anywhere with people like that. I'm not sure if I will be shopping here again because of the way she treats customers a certain way or because of my race. Was the Marshalls location on my route the day I went. Located on a big street, they have street parking in front but you have to walk to the front of the store to enter. They also have plaza parking but I did not want to deal with parking there during busy hours. Lines were long but moved at a decent speed. Returning was super slow. They have one machine that prints stickers and everyone has to use that one machine. read more

Always find something when shopping at this Marshall's. Customer service is A+. Lines are never crazy long. I do think twice when coming here though. Every time I've been here I've witness shoplifting. The worst part about it, they are allowed to just walk out without any consequences. Last time I was there I saw a guy walking out with a bunch of jeans over his shoulders and a bag filled with clothes. Makes me feel unsafe shopping here. This Marshalls is becoming one of my favorite Marshalls to go to. 4 stars!!!! Yes, I kind of miss the old Staples on Arroyo Parkway, but I'm happy to see that Marshalls is now occupying the space. Not only does the store still feel new, but it has a pretty good selection of men's clothing as well as home decor and houseware items. Moreover, I always find unique gifts for family and friends at Marshalls. Don't forget to check out the pet section; you're bound to find special and one-of-a-kind special gifts for the pet-lovers in your life. Finally, I also love going to Marshalls during the holidays to get holiday greeting cards as well as gift wrapping items, from holiday gift boxes to wrapping to ribbons at budget items. Prices are pretty good at Marshalls but yes, you do have to take the time to check out the items you intend to purchase. Some of the housewares that are sold are sometimes damaged, unfortunately due to careless customer handling. Parking has never been an issue even during the holiday season. Marshalls shares the same parking area as BevMo, but there always seems to be enough spaces no matter what time you go. read more

This location is relatively new...in the former Staples store on Arroyo. It shares the space with BevMo so you can get your drinks on too! Things in the store are already in the holiday spirit and I couldn't resist some good finds. I would say that the layout is good but it's not as big as other Marshall's locations...it's maybe half the size. Still, it gets the job done and they manage to squeeze in a lot of inventory. Even if you're not looking for something specific, you'll probably find something special (if that make sense)! read more

I've been a happy Marshall's shopper for many years, but will not be returning to this branch. Overnight, it seems, they have increased the volume of product in the store by 36% (l asked) which has subsequently decreased the space alloted to shoppers. The clothing racks are so close together that l cart can't make it down an aisle. There is no room to take anything off a rack to get a better look, or to pass another shopper. There are racks of product in front of other displays, towers of cardboard boxes overflowing with product in the way everywhere. It took me a frustrating 20 minutes to find the one thing that l had stopped in for - which had been moved to a department where it didn't belong to make way for excess product. I asked the employee at the checkout if this change was just until after the holidays, and she told me that this is the new model for this branch and would be the new normal going forward. I let her know how difficult my shopping experience had been and she replied with " Well, it's great for my profit sharing plan." I'm sad. I'll not be returning to this store. read more

Rebecca, the manager, answered the phone with a nasty attitude, and the first thing she said is " NO, yea, uh, we won't be doing that." VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Even if the store supervisor isn't authorized to give out donations, you could've simply pointed me in the right direction! I won't be spending money at this location anymore & people I deal with won't either. You don't treat your community, customers, and or clients with that type of nasty tone ! This evening I had a HORRIBLE experience at this location. Since I moved to the area I've visited this location many times without any problems or complaints. That changed when I had the cashier Raea, she had long frizzy hair, light complexion and glasses. My husband and I were shopping for wicker baskets when we saw a stack of 3 and only one of them had a ticket marked $5.99. We thought it was a great price for the size but didn't think much else of it. The 2 other baskets (exact style size) didn't have a ticket on them so we assumed they were the same price since they looked Identical. When my husband explained to her the other two weren't marked she scanned two baskets then glared at husband up and down. She then proceeded to rip off the sticker while staring at him. I'm not sure if she assumed he was a thief bc he has a darker complexion or what it was. But she then started voiding the transaction when she saw another price sticker underneath the $5.99 one and called for someone to do a price check. When the other employee arrived she only spoke to her in Spanish (thinking we didn't know any Spanish) saying that the basket was $5.99 but she thought that suspicious and ripped it off to see a $9.99 one under. Let me just say that even if it was $9.99 I wouldn't have cared I would've still purchased them. But she assumed it was us who messed with the prices. They could have checked the cameras we didn't care- we had nothing to hide. Instead she tried speaking about us negatively in Spanish and gave my husband a dirty look. I asked for the manager and she yelled at me "SHE'S COMING". The only reason I'm not giving this place 0 stars is because every other time we've had no issues. Plus the manager Andrea was polite and professional. Unlike Raea who had a short temper, judgemental attitude, and the last person who should be working customer service. read more

This Marshalls is great. They have a huge selection of purses and women's clothes. It's clean and organized, and everyone is so friendly. On my last visit here, I ended up buying a vegan handbag and the cashier, a guy, said "Wow, what a nice handbag, and at such a great price too!"
