Wow, this MUST be a high theft location... Quality/Quantity - Not brands that I would normally shop, but had time to kill while my wife and daughter shopped at Sephora. I was purchasing shoes and the cashier named Ace removed the price tag from the shoes during checkout. Without any barcode, I am unable to return or exchange the shoes without having to show my ID. It is frustrating having to deal with customer service like this. This isn't the first time this has happened to me either so I do wonder if they're doing this on purpose. read more

I have been to this store many times . I never made it a big deal how they treat you walking in . Seems like your guilty walking through the doors . I notices when I had passed through and was looking around at backpacks downstairs, lost prevention was eyeing me for no reason I felt very uncomfortable. I walked upstairs to finish my shopping. As I was getting to check out at the counter I had the cashier hold my items to run back downstairs to grab a backpack I was eyeing . Once again lost prevention was dogging . I ran back up waited in line, the cashier scanned and bagged my items, I paid for my items and proceeded to walk out downstairs to the exit 6:20pm. As I walked to the exit and reach the lost prevention associate. I could tell the lost prevention associate was looking for something because he just grabbed my bag and dropped on the floor start ripping everything out and telling me that I didn't pay for several things. The lost prevention associate Made me feel like I was a criminal. I told had him that the associate upstairs bagged it. And I have a big bag. I spent $250. He's Mistakenly told me that I didn't pay for some shoes a backpack , these kid straws and a cheap car mount IT seem like he didn't know how to read the receipt. He should not be working his job if he does not know how to read the receipts, back to training with this guy. It took him ,a manager to figure out what I was missing. The cashier forgot to Check out, but probably 10 bucks worth of stuff. He was Accusing me of stealing shoes and other items like a backpack Straight up embarrassing and should be absolutely appalled by your associates Behavior on how to treat people, especially A customer who just spent that much money. No empathy or Remorse and stereotyping me , they held my stuff like I was some criminal. Came through after dinner nearby, and while there was a lot to peruse, much of the items were disorganized/misplaced. My friends and I began to fill a cart on the first floor, only to learn that the elevators were inoperable, and had to remove our items to bring them to the second floor and transfer them to baskets. So take note, this location is not ADA compliant! We found some clothing items we wanted to try on before buying, and their dressing rooms were blocked off, and the lights were off. The final kicker - no restrooms for customers! Not a location I'd care to visit again. read more

This is one of the most unpleasant shopping experiences I've ever had. - You have to go through some sort of security to get into the store. - Merchandise that is not hung is thrown about. It is difficult to find even a pair of underwear. Housewares section is pretty bad also. - The fitting rooms don't open when the store opens. - Never enough cashiers. Usually one, may two if there is a crowd. The line can get very long. - The store in neighboring Monrovia is better kept. Better yet, stick with TJ Maxx, Marshalls or Walmart. - For a while there was no bathroom access, even for customers. He looked annoyed that I had asked him nicely to repeat himself. He rolled his eyes and had such an annoyance in his tone. He then looked at the monitor above him and then proceeded to let me in. This was a huge disappointment! My elderly mother, who is handicapped went to use her gift card that her friend gave her for her birthday. She was very excited to go and shop at this store because she normally doesn't shop there. We walk in and they make you stop to look at a camera before they let you in. Never experienced anything like that before. The guard said it was for security. We went around the first floor and my mom picked a few items and wanted to pay, the registers were closed downstairs for some odd reason. We were told to pay upstairs. Not too handicap friendly. When we get up to pay, the sales associate was odd and not friendly. To top it off, when my mom was putting her change in her purse, the sales associate basically told her to hurry because she had other people in line! Mind you that it only takes a minute to put away her change in her wallet. What happen to sales associates being respectful to our elderly community! Worst costumer service ever!! This is by far the worst experience we have had in a long time. Shocking for both of us, we walked out saying that was the last time we shop at that store. This is a huge location that has an expansive and orderly selection of items. When I first visited this location earlier this year it had just re-opened after being closed due to the pandemic. About 90% of the merchandise was gone! Apparently after the store reopened the prices were reduced even more and almost everything sold out. There were mostly just empty racks and baby furniture left plus those gourmet coffee and crackers that always seem to be in stock. Nonetheless, I did find a few household items that were reduced and the staff honored a refund coupon that I still had from a couple of years ago. The store has since restocked their inventory so take a look and enjoy your visit! read more

This store has made a recent change in store manager: Manager proceeds to instruct workers not to give away the cash they have in their drawers. Makes me wait 20 mnts for change and yet the cashier gives the following customers cash back as I wait for change when to begin has enough cash for my change. This Burlington Coat Factory is somewhat new in the city of Alhambra but it's probably been a few years now that this plaza has been open. The actual space is pretty large and it seems more open than the location in Arcadia, but it still might be smaller in size. When you first walk in on the first floor there are some luggage and purses down there but most of the shopping area is upstairs. There are set of escalators that will whisk you up to the second floor and that's where the magic begins. Upstairs is very big and everything is labeled for your browsing convenience. Like any Burlington coat factory, the items bear are somewhat random, meaning that looks like a treasure hunt and you'll never know what you may find out there. Usually if you look hard enough you'll find something that's I've great price and value. The registers are on one corner of the store by the men's section. There is a key that you line up first and each corresponding red store that's open they will wave you over. Overall, this is a great addition to Alhambra. Parking can be a little tough in this plaza. The Sprouts market and the huge selection of eateries in the area can cause a lot of congestion during busy times. read more

Just like other locations with an upstairs, they only ever open the register upstairs, which sometimes can be annoying. Also, I wish they had a RETURN/ EXCHANGE only line to relieve the waiting in long lines at times. I've been able to find pretty good deals here for myself and my family. I decided to check this place out after a few friends recommended that I come and go shoe shopping here. My experience at Burlington's was pleasant... I find that the selections here are more in style and "chic" compared to the Ross's across the street. I came here to buy some shoes and professional wear. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pick up any shoes since they ran out of my size. However, I was able to pick up some cute outerwear and blazers on the sales rack. Granted, the outerwear I bought were more for style rather than warmth. ---Online shopping--- I've always wanted to buy a nice pair of high heeled booties, but never found one my style or for my budget. I like good quality shoes with the affordable price. I tried out Burlington's online store and I was pleasantly surprised. These booties costed me $20 + taxes +shipping/handling. Shipping for these booties costed me $6-$9 (I can't remember). They offered me $15 rebate for my order and I'm waiting on that right now. Shipping took about two weeks. The booties came in on a rainy day and Burlington is actually quite meticulous when it comes to handling their packages. The shoes came to me dry and in perfect condition. I think I'm tempted to try shopping online for Burlington's. They have a pretty good return policy and a lot of the shoes on the site are cute and affordable. --------UPDATE---------- My rebate came in the mail. They really went through with it. read more

After going to a few other Burlington Coat Factory stores over the years, I pretty much stayed away. The new Burlington Coat Factory in the Alhambra Place shopping center is beginning to change my mind! 4 stars!!!! Alhambra's Burlington Coat Factory is the nicest one I've ever been to! It's pretty well organized and carries a good amount of merchandise for the bargain shopper. Yes, their menswear department doesn't seem to carry a lot of items that I want to purchase and wear, but this Burlington does carry a good selection of housewares and decorative items. Don't forget to always check out the clearance section where you can find pretty unique gifts for family and friends. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. It was pretty easy to locate a staff member the last time I visited when I inquired about an item which didn't have a price tag. Even though I ended up not buying the item, thank you so much Kim for the wonderful customer service. Parking can be challenging if you want to park close to the store since it's right next to Sprouts. Park farther away and walk for a couple of minutes to have a more pleasant parking experience. read more
