Our first order of in-person business--a whole afternoon of shopping for dress fabric together in the Fashion District--initially seemed very daunting. But thanks to Lara, it ended up being one of my favorite memories from the whole wedding planning experience! Diving into shop after shop, bouncing ideas back and forth--with her great sense of humor and energy, Lara seamlessly guided me through the sea of options available while also encouraging me to explore whatever came to mind. That fun, collaborative dynamic continued throughout the entire dressmaking process.
