Sitting position for someone that dared to want to use the unnaturally deep, uncushioned chair and the table at the same time.

I'm really glad they replaced all the totally harmless mosaic tables and chairs with this grey prison bar furniture. What a necessary change! I hope they're planning to turn one of the many empty stores into a chiropractor's office!

I used to make several visits to Pasadena back in the early 2000's. I remember when this upscale outdoor mall opened and replaced the original mall. The Paseo is located on Colorado Blvd and covers three city blocks. It has several retail stores, restaurants, a movie theater and condominiums above. It is a nice place to go for a walk and do some shopping. I enjoy it more at night when the lights are on. Sadly, the anchor stores have all closed. Across the street is the Pasadena Convention Center, Civic Auditorium and Ice-Skating Center. Parking for The Paseo is underneath just off Colorado Blvd.

This mall has been around a long time and is an outdoor mall with maybe 20 to 30 places, including restaurants and some shops. I believe they added some condos or apartments here, which reduced the size. Some of the places were closed as well. They have a Yardhouse, El Cholo, and Rubios. I was surprised to find this mall while walking around old Pasadena. They also have the old antique mall here along with shops like Brighton, H&M, K Lyn, Bed Bath and Beyond. They also have Regal movie theatre on top.

The Paseo is very nice shopping and entertainment center on Colorado Blvd in Pasadena and walking distance from The Pasadena Civic Auditorium. They also have many restaurants like the Yardhouse,P.F Chang and Fogo De Chao and other restaurants and store also a movie theater.

It's like the last time I was here except there's now all this Christmas flair. And benches being readied for the very famous Rose Parade. It is true what fellow Yelpers say: it's not that great of a place for shopping given the choices are very limited. But if there's anything great about this place is the variety of eateries. There is a decent amount to choose from. This would also be a great spot for happy hour! There's a bit of construction here and there so I'm assuming there's gonna be more additions. Finally, there's a pretty good upkeep. I didn't see any staff maintaining the cleanliness of the entire area, but I was impressed at how clean the overall general area is. Underground parking available. Hit and miss for the most part. Good part to that is most (if not all) vendors validate. I'm rarely around this area but I would be curious enough to come back and see some development.

Every time I go there it is at least $12 parking with validation. Why spend time and money there when there are so many other options?

Ask the Community - The Paseo

Is there still a Chinese restaurant at Paseo?

There is Lunasia Dim Sum House across the street from the Paseo. Not sure if that is the one you're talking about

Is parking in the underground garage free? If not, how much per hour?

The atmosphere is fantastic, with outdoor seating where you can enjoy a coffee, get some work done, or just hang out and relax. A unique feature of the courtyard is the two red telephone booths, which add a fun decorative touch and make the space feel even more inviting. After our meal, I was able to shop at Williams-Sonoma, which is conveniently located here, along with other great businesses and restaurants, including: * FACILE * SOULCYCLE * Drybar * Green Street Restaurant * Lemonade Restaurant * Philz Coffee * UOVO * Mercado * Dan Modern Chinese * SUGARFISH * The Counter * TravelStore Whether you're grabbing a bite to eat, shopping, or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, The Commons is a great place to visit. What caught my eye were the two red phone booths (feels like you're in London) but it had no phones inside, but it's okay! There is still a Christmas tree in the middle of all the restaurants. The places to eat here are the following: * Philz Coffee - my fave coffee shop in Pasadena! * Dan Modern Chinese * Lemonade * Mercado (Mexican cuisine) * Sugarfish by Sushi Nozawa * The Counter * Green Street Restaurant * Uovo (Italian cuisine) Some of the restaurants I had tried in other locations except for Dan Modern Chinese, Mercado, Green Street Italian and Uovo. Looking forward to try these! For retail and services, there's the Dry Bar, Soulcycle, Facile Skin Care and Williams Sonoma. It's a small complex and not too crowded. I would take family and friends here to eat and relax.

I parked in the parking lot behind Nick's and depending when you go, you might have to pay or it will be free. Since I parked my car after 7pm on a Wednesday, it's free. I wasn't sure at first and tried paying at the parking machine and also through the mobile app but it wasn't working. It's very visually appealing from the parking lot side, which holds a a store called 3/4 Moon, and El Portal Restaurant. Walking through to the Colorado Blvd. side, after we finished dinner at El Portal, was a mixed bag, though. There's still a lot of brick texture, and nooks and crannies for visual and architectural interest. There is also a lot of missed potential, I believe. If it were mine to market, I'd bring in containers with a variety of trees, bushes, and flowers to soften and enliven the space. Making it more of a garden vibe would increase the appeal of strolling through the corridor and checking out the various businesses inside. I noted a yarn shop and a dance-themed business. Not sure if it was just for clothing, or if it was a studio. The parking lot entrance is off Green Street. Valet parking with validation was available when we went in the 4:00 hour on Sunday afternoon. El Portal validated the first hour. We paid $3.00 for staying into a second hour. It's the kind of location where you probably wouldn't feel encouraged to wander unless you were already going there specifically for one of the businesses. Having to pay for parking solidifies my thoughts in that regard.
