Dipping Mochi sold on One Colorado
    Jenny C.

One Colorado - a courtyard vibe gives a strolling opportunity for those who, like me, appreciates a leisure time peeping into shops along alleys. Today, I'm was exploring a pop up event: MAUM Market an outdoor/indoor shopping experience. It's an open market for Asian artists and entrepreneurs. It's cute and handful of stalls introducing yummy treats or unique craft offerings. Obviously, I like to eat! I tried two "tables" selling mochi and fresh sourdough made of millets. (1) Sourdough with extra high fiber for health benefits and (2) Black sesame mochi. This dipping mochi so reminds me of Kyoto. Legit!

I love One Colorado! It is such a cute place (courtyard/outdoor mall) off Colorado Blvd in Old Pasadena. You definitely feel as if you're in Europe. There are restaurants with beautiful patios - Il Farnaio, Santorini, Sushi Roku, boutiques and an IPIC theater. One Colorado hosts many events all year round - music, kids and holiday. They also always decorate for the holidays, which I really like. It's so beautiful!

I'm not really a shopper, but I love coming here every summer for the outdoor movies. So fun! I hope they continue to do the summer movies until the end of time! Great for friends, families, and daters.

I'm a fan of the sweet plaza that puts on great events through the summer. Trivia Tuesdays are fun. Cinema Saturday's. Sweet home town vibe.

A unique feature of the courtyard is the two red telephone booths, which add a fun decorative touch and make the space feel even more inviting. After our meal, I was able to shop at Williams-Sonoma, which is conveniently located here, along with other great businesses and restaurants, including: * FACILE * SOULCYCLE * Drybar * Green Street Restaurant * Lemonade Restaurant * Philz Coffee * UOVO * Mercado * Dan Modern Chinese * SUGARFISH * The Counter * TravelStore Whether you're grabbing a bite to eat, shopping, or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, The Commons is a great place to visit. What caught my eye were the two red phone booths (feels like you're in London) but it had no phones inside, but it's okay! There is still a Christmas tree in the middle of all the restaurants. Looking forward to try these! For retail and services, there's the Dry Bar, Soulcycle, Facile Skin Care and Williams Sonoma. It's a small complex and not too crowded. I would take family and friends here to eat and relax.

I've been to the Glendale Galleria literally millions of times over the years. Because I've visited…read moreso often, I know every single nook and cranny of the place. I even know the history of all the stores that have been there for a long time, as well as the ones that have closed over the years. I usually come here to shop for cosmetics and clothes, and I often have lunch or dinner here while shopping. With Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and Nordstrom nearby at the Americana -- which I always end up visiting too since it's right across the street -- this area is truly a one-stop shopping place. Since I've shopped at many of the cosmetics and clothing stores here over the years, a lot of the sales associates let me know in advance by email or text about pre-sale events and gift-with-purchase promotions. However, last Sunday, April 26th, I came here shopping with my mother, and she lost her Gucci sunglasses. She went back today to look for them, but sadly, they were not in the lost and found. She probably misplaced them while trying on clothes in a fitting room. Actually, I also lost my Chanel sunglasses here twice a long time ago, and I still remember how upset I was back then. Since this mall gets very crowded, especially on weekends, I think things like this can happen more easily. One of the biggest advantages of Glendale Galleria is that parking is free. And because there are so many different stores all in one place, it's very convenient for one-stop shopping. But one downside is that whenever I call Macy's, it's incredibly hard to get connected to the individual departments. I really wish it was easier to get through to their customer service on the phone. Also, at some point, they got rid of the toilet seat covers in the restrooms near the Food Court, which I think is a huge downside.

Absolutely obsessed with Glendale Galleria. Came for "just…read moreone thing" and somehow left with bags, boba, and a serotonin boost. The vibe is clean, bright, and low-stress (which is rare for malls tbh). Great mix of stores, easy parking, and it's dangerously close to amazing food spots. 10/10 for retail therapy and people-watching. Will be back when my wallet emotionally recovers.

Sat outside to watch the water show that comes on every hour. It is SO beautiful, refreshing on any day, especially during evening time to closing time. They have variety of things to do there. There is everything for everyone to keep them busy. It's breathtaking and just simply wonderful & green all around you. Some of the great places to dine are the Cheesecake Factory, an Italian restaurant called Amici. They have fine, delicious Italian food. Have been there few times, and once on a date. They gave a 2 spirit Barnes & Noble for book lovers, an AMC movie theatre that used to be Pacific Theaters, A Seabutter Sushi restaurant that is very good and romantic with patio seating. They also have the Mexican restaurant Frida.. Just to name a few of their iconic, yet high end businesses. You can walk, take the trolley, take your dogs for a walk, and simply enjoy the fresh air. Their Christmas lighting ceremony is MAGNIFICENT!! Must see!!! I am glad we were able to go there again last night and had a FANTASTIC time!! Service is on point. They are always cleaning the place, plenty of restrooms to use, spotless clean, and you can find parking anywhere in their parking structures and outside. Whatever that you do and spend time and money on, is valuable and SO worth it to me and so many others. 10/10.

It's very visually appealing from the parking lot side, which holds a a store called 3/4 Moon, and El Portal Restaurant. Walking through to the Colorado Blvd. side, after we finished dinner at El Portal, was a mixed bag, though. There's still a lot of brick texture, and nooks and crannies for visual and architectural interest. There is also a lot of missed potential, I believe. If it were mine to market, I'd bring in containers with a variety of trees, bushes, and flowers to soften and enliven the space. Making it more of a garden vibe would increase the appeal of strolling through the corridor and checking out the various businesses inside. I noted a yarn shop and a dance-themed business. Not sure if it was just for clothing, or if it was a studio. The parking lot entrance is off Green Street. Valet parking with validation was available when we went in the 4:00 hour on Sunday afternoon. El Portal validated the first hour. We paid $3.00 for staying into a second hour. It's the kind of location where you probably wouldn't feel encouraged to wander unless you were already going there specifically for one of the businesses. Having to pay for parking solidifies my thoughts in that regard.
