I only come here because I'm a member of equinox and I used to go to Pasadena jazz institute years ago. The structure really needs new management. I know malls are dying unless you are Caruso affiliated but it wouldn't take much to make better. 90 mins free parking for equinox members would bring more business in shops/restaurants. I'm considering quitting equinox because of paying for parking and the only reason I shop in center is because I'm at gym. The other night the elevator was broken and I'm carrying my 2 year old and my big gym bag up dangerous stairways through trash areas unlit with employees smoking weed in dark to equinox door... There were no signs directing for detour. Better security and attendants and powerwash and paint ... I know it's money and you guys are a mall in 2020 but give people an incentive to keep coming back and supporting. read more

I know it is not what it used to be, but it is still my preferred place in Pasadena. When every second day you hear about a new mall opening, and when some malls charge you A LOT just to park your car, Paseo is still reasonable. Can use some changes and some work to improve, but which place does not. I do agree that 3 stars does reflect the mall, but I will go with 4 stars just for the great days I had here. read more

So so sad. I live so close and had no idea this place had turned into a ghost town. Before Covid it was still doing ok, but now there is really just DSW, Bath/Body Works and very few boutique shops. It's become so vacant and abandoned that you can find parking anywhere, the elevators/stairs are empty, and it's scary to be so alone and hear no voices and see no people. And, they still charge for parking ($1.50 for 90 minutes, or free with a store validation -- but there are no stores!). A total skip. Such a shame. Don't go at night -- it's scary -- you'll be alone and it can feel scary -- homeless are also starting to hang out in the area since no one is around to stop them. read more

The Paseo Colorado was built originally in 2001 and remodeled in 2011. As such it is a little seedy around the edges. Several of the prestige venues have moved out like the Border Grill and Macy's and Gelson's. The big deal for me at the PC is the Arclight Theaters which i have reviewed elsewhere. There are some good venues left as in the Bone Yard (er-i mean Yard House), Islands but the retailers are not exciting particularly as compared to the Glendale Americana and the Grove in LA. I read that MAPLE is coming to the PC and this should up the ante in this outdoor mall quite a bit. read more

Eh, it's been kinda meh since they closed down Macy's and Harry & David's. However, this mall houses a huge parking lot - and it's right across from many many restaurants. Free 90 minute validation for restaurants. Not sure what the Arclight validates for, I believe it's 4 hours. Max is $9 without validation and $6 with validation. There are places to drink, eat, shop, and all. Just depending on where you go. There are plenty of restaurants and not that many shops anymore. If you want to shop, head over to Old Town where there are plenty of shop AND if you don't mind, not too far of a walk to Old Town Pasadena, if you're planning to dine at the Paseo (so you don't have double pay). It's nicely decorated for the holidays and all. read more

I love walking in Pasadena especially on Colorado. I don't know why people wouldn't want to park on the street or a few blocks over to just take a stroll around. But I love it. After coming from Old Town I'll walk to Paseo to do some more shopping. This place is pretty much like an outdoor mall which sucks if it is raining. But we live in California, thank god!! So we can shop pretty much every day. *yeah, cheer* Sooo my favorite places to go is this cute wine bar, Brazilian food is pretty alright, BCBG is a store for me, Sephora is where I go to put on some lipstick, Starbucks in right around the corner, Yardhouse for some late night drinks, Macy's to buy a few gifts and yes oh yes I do enjoy going to DSW for some shoes. The parking is a little bit pricy but not as bad as other places!! But yes I do enjoy coming here often and just walking around. read more

It's a nice outdoor mall. I love how children play in the huge water fountain in the middle of the mall on a hot sunny day! The Macy's here sucks as it doesn't carry the good stuff...head to Lake Ave if you want to shop at Macy's. The one on Lake is amazing! They do have tons of other stores here...Tommy Bahamans, Mac, Max Mara, Sephora, DSW etc. The best part of the mall is Bodega Bar...great happy hour and awesome food. I love the vibe here...is so much more fun than the Bodega bar in Santa Monica. If you are in the mood, there is also yard house, PF Chang's (which I would not recommend!) and other eating places. Parking can be a pain as half of it is for Gelsons and it's hard to find a spot in prime time. Overall, it's not a bad place to hang out if you are in Old town Pasadena. read more

I've driven by this shopping plaza many times but never been here. The reason for finally visiting was that my husband wanted to try the Pasadena Yard House prior to running a few errands in the area. We love Yard House. We looked around Paseo Colorado on this one Saturday and found it to be rather deserted. It seemed to have more eateries than stores, but perhaps we weren't walking in the right area. It just seemed that way to me. Yard House was upstairs, rather close to the Arclight Cinema, and the rest is pretty unmemorable to me. Loved the Yard House, but we always do. read more

After stuffing my face with cookies at Cookie Con, I walked across the street in an effort to burn off all that sugar and get something savory in me. I've been here before for a variety of things - hang out with friends, go on dates, eat, watch a movie etc. It has a little bit of everything for everyone. It's also in a nice area of Pasadena, parking can be validated, and it all just works out nicely. It's an open air mall with a few stores and places to eat plus a theatre. I like that the restrooms are usually clean, there isn't a lot of riff raff, and it's generally quite nice looking. It made for a nice quaint walk to settle the cookies and get off my sugar high. read more

Paseo Colorado has been open for many years now on the grounds of the old Pasadena indoor mall. I for one, grew up in that indoor mall, specifically at the giant arcade that was once housed on the second floor... so pardon my bias a bit, as I rip Paseo up a bit. I love the open air, outdoor, European vibe...don't get me wrong. Paseo was opened before the Grove in LA, but just with the wrong aesthetic and shops. It was a high-end, 40+ shopping center, with a Pacific theatre and a P.F. Changs. Fast forward to 2012 and you can see a lot of changes have happened here. FRom a big social media/marketing team creating buzz for the shopping plaza to TV shows being filmed here, Paseo Colorado is changing it's ways for the better. A new Arclight plus many new restaurants, as well as younger-targeted retail stores has brought new life into this once dull plaza. I am thrilled that you can go from Gelsons to the Arclight to the Gym all without leaving this beautiful plaza. Free parking with validations all over, so don't fret about that. Come check this place out if you've never been! read more

Welcome to an outdoor chain store mall with a supermarket and a bunch of restaurants (mostly chains again) and my favorite thing ever *rolls*eyes* paid parking.... grrrrrrrr Pro Tip: You can get parking for free for up to 2 hours if you visit a store or find the free validation machine at the top of the escalator. Occasionally you can take advantage of the parking here if you go next store to the ice rink and get a cheaper price (unless you find free) parking around the rink. They wont let you park in the lot here if you are headed to the Pasadena convention center though... The stores cover all kinds of stuff like shoes, clothing, wino painting (yeah you ladies know what I mean, i know), and eclectic knick knacks. The restaurants are sometimes so so and sometimes horrible (islands). haha None the less, this place isnt a great stop most of the time to me, but the theater does help make it a destination spot. Enjoy it if you go, but you wont hardly ever find me here. read more

The Paseo is now a ghost town and is a shell of it's former self. The parking lot is very empty, the cinema is closed and only a handful of stores and restaurants remain open. It's only time this place will be completely shutdown and I'm surprised how some places are still open and in business to this day. Avoid this place and head to the Shops at Santa Anita for a more lively experience and larger selection of stores and restaurants. read more

If I could give less stars, I would! I revisited this place again yesterday & it's really gone downhill tremendously since my last visit, which wasn't great back then. There are several vacant retail spaces and the few stores left are unappealing and/or overly expensive to attempt to make up for the lack in business. I feel like this mall skews to an older crowd, but they've made some changes over the years and it's growing more on me! Love bodega wine bar on level 2, the new H&M, brunch at The Great Maple, and boozing during movie time at the Arclight. Parking can be terrible especially during peak shopping season. Paseo is one of the few and older outdoor open air malls in the Los Angeles Area. The stores here constantly change because people go to Old Town to shop more then they do here. A lot of the restaurants are the same since I started coming here 10+ years ago. They have an underground parking lot that almost every store validates for up to 90 minutes. After that, it is $1.50 to park. First floor is where most of the shops are. Single walkways. There are also shops along Colorado. The second floor does not really connect so you might have to walk up and down to get to different sides of the second floor. They had a foodie set up on the Saturday I came. Paeso Colorado is a beautiful place! I hope to see more vendors/businesses come up and stick around... I feel like a lot of them have either gone out of business or have moved to different locations. Would love to see this place thrive. During the Summertime, they had Movie Nights. I like seeing this place at night because the lights make it glisten and the background music is quite nice. There is a non-functional water fountain upstairs that is really lovely to sit and just enjoy the scenery. There's a security guard wandering around also so I always feel "safe". read more

I feel so sorry for this place. When I was a kid the Pasadena mall what's a place that you aspire to go to when you're older and had enough money. There were tons of stores and you could spend hours there just looking in shopping. Now it's this open-air thing with only a few really big chains type stores and you know it's just not the same Dynamic at all I don't know who they're trying to get in to shop there but I can't imagine it's anything close to what it used to rake in terms of financial wherewithal. read more

Parking is $9 if you don't get it validated, $6 with validation. It's an outdoor mall with not too many selections of stores. H&M is there if you are into that type of trend. Restaurants at this mall are kind of pricey. I would recommend going to the restaurants outside the mall, which is much affordable. Also, there are apartments complexes in the mall, which is kind of cool to see. Other than that, it's not a very fancy mall like other malls in Los Angeles, but it's descent enough to attract tourists because of the surrounding attractions. read more

I'm glad that after the Covid Lockdown, the Stay at Home Order, and the Tier System ended I was able to go back to the Paseo because it's my favorite Outdoor Center, it gets the least foot traffic, and it's the closest Outdoor Center to me that has a parking garage with narrow escalators. The only thing I didn't like about the first time I went back there last year was to see and hear that the Cold Stone up there closed because I never had a chance to go back there and see the fans go at that Cold Stone one last time. I miss that Cold Stone a lot I hope something good take it place but the haven't announced what's going to go in there because the signage is still up, the hours are still posted, the flavors labels are still posted, and the walls still have banners on them. Luckily Yard House and DSW are still there which is good for me because DSW is the only store that still has escalators and Yard House is the business that has the most fans. More good things for me are that the fountain on the second floor that's between Noor and El Chollo is still there and it's on almost all the time and whenever I go there I'm able to park on the lower level in the parking garage and go on the narrow escalators and the narrow escalators have been working most of the time. I hope the next time I go to the Paseo I get to pet a stranger's dog because it's been awhile since I got to pet stranger's dog when I was there and I hope the stranger's dog I get to pet is a girl because most of the stranger's dogs I got to pet were girls. read more

Wow was here today and was really disappointed to see Macy's closing down. I was also surprised of the number of spaces for lease in the inner shopping area. I really like the Yard House, Tokyo Wako, El Cholo and Islands here. The theater as well but some of the movies today seemed a bit dated. They really need to make the parking just free at Paseo to increase the foot traffic to keep this place alive. Great to walk around after the theater in Pasadena or just as an extension of Old Town but the paid parking still sucks versus other malls. I love the fact that they still have live music in their courtyard which is nice to chill in and get a latte from the coffee cart but even today it seemed lacking. Gelson's is still pumping but didn't seem as busy as usual today either. I hope something good replaces Macy's - without it - Paseo only has the few restaurants worth while to travel to. Even with Ruth Chris's and Roy's across the way - still it seems like Paseo seems to be having a slow death.....I hope that they can revive it! read more

(Review based on 3.5 stars) I don't personally like coming to this mall too often because of the lack of shops and also the parking situation in Pasadena (have to pay, but of course you can usually score some free parking). But every so often, I do come by here to shop at the Macy's here from time to time. But unfortunately, Macy's is going out of business and so I don't know if I would come by here. But anyways, I would always get my parking ticket validated at Macy's and get 2 hours of parking for free (the validation machine is near the front entrance of the store). Brookstones also gives free 90 minute parking as well (you don't have to buy anything, just go in there and get it validated). I do like that this mall is a bit different though, in that it is outdoors. And there is a movie theater here and few great restaurants here (like Yard House) and also Gelson's. But I still don't like the limited free parking here. If the parking was completely free, then I would probably come here a little more often. But since these stores are also available at other malls in cities nearby (like Arcadia at the Santa Anita Mall) there really isn't much to draw me here to come more frequently. read more

This is an interesting little outdoor mall along the New Year's Rose Parade Route that has events all year long, such as artists exhibits and concerts. There is also an antique mall located in this shopping plaza. In addition, there are a lot of clothing stores such as H&M, J, Jill, Soma, Victoria's Secret, Chico's, DSW, Q, Tommy Bahamas, and White House Black Market. This is also a good place to eat because there are several places to eat such as Yard House, Tokyo Wako, Porto Alegre, PF Chang's, El Cholo Cafe, Rubio's, Islands, Starbucks, Mrs. Field's Cookies, and Cold Stone. In addition, there is also a Movie Theater. The prices are a little higher because of all the taxes--you don't just pay sales tax on your items; you also pay several district taxes (look at your receipts and you will see what I mean). Because this mall is downtown and across the street from the Pasadena Civic Center, expect to pay for parking. Most of the stores and restaurants do validate, but it won't cover the whole cost to park there. read more

Lovely place to walk around to shop, eat, and watch a movie. It also houses the local grocer, Gelson's and a big gym for the locals to fill 'er up and get their workout on! PC is built a couple of stories high with the restaurants and movie theater primarily on the top floor. There's an open-air feel that makes it a good venue for events like the Pasadena Chalk Festival. Mainstream stores are mixed in with boutique ones making the PC about a couple blocks or so long. Right off of Colorado and parking garage, it's easy to get to from the 110 and the Metro stop is about 5 minutes or so away by taxi/bus. If you love the area so much, well, you can also live in PC! They have apartments will special parking area in the garage. Seems like it would be a win/win! There are events scheduled throughout the year so sign up for the PC e-newsletter on its website to stay connected. read more

I've only just begun to peruse the place, but I have definitely found on two occasions some issue with the parking structure. So, just be aware that the parking kiosks which you are required to use, don't always work properly. They sometimes do not spit out your receipt. You must request it spit out a receipt. Still, your returned ticked MAY indicate your info of $. If you need a copy for tax or other purposes, take a picture of it NOW. When you do exit, you are required to forfeit your parking ticket/stub/receipt. And if you still require a receipt, clear your throat, press the Help button, and see if you can get someone to come out and assist. Really. So, this is probably more of an extended Tip for Paseo Colorado, but heck, let's start there! PS Don't forget to get validated. Cash or cards accepted. read more

If you're looking for a good shopping experience, don't shop here. There's not a lot of stores to choose from. There are a few great Restaurants like the Yard House, El Cholos, PF Chang's, and Great Maple, but the shopping is less than desirable. Oh I almost forgot to mention The Rose...it's great for having a great show while you dine. But the parking SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!! Although you can get validated parking, the spaces are limited and you have to drive around and around for 20-30 mins just to find a space to park. This mall either you like it or hate it. It does good decent selection of retails. Their parking is ok at best; it is free up to certain time with validation. If you going there at night, you might able to find spot in the City Hall which is free and no more worry about the time limit of validation. The most stood out in this mall is that they got the famous and of the best theater in L.A. Arclight Cinema definite a must visit if you never been to one, a different movie experience that you not used to. There is also good sized event venue called noor which is pretty nice, been to a yelp event there and love it. This mall do got a lot to offer and it is across from the Pasadena Convention Center and short walk from old town with its tons of restaurant and clothing stores. Many vendor closed its door here in recent year that included Macy and Gelsons, this free up many parking spot. The future of this mall is a question since many vendor are struggle despite is in a good location. read more

Paseo Colorado is like Danny Devito: small, but substantial. * For dining, I'm a sucker for the Yard House, but also like Porto Alegre Brazilian Churrascaria and (rarely) Tokyo Wako. Chains like Islands, Rubios, & Cold Stone are safe. The only places that really disappointed were P.F. Chang's and El Cholo. * The Arclight Cinema is a clean theater with reserve seats when catching a flick. Not the cheapest option, but a "step-up" when on the right date. * The anchor stores are Macy's and Gelsons. I'd never drive out of my way for them, but appreciate them when I'm there. * The two stories of outdoor shops include a huge DSW store for women's shoes and a small separate one for men's. Other mall classics like Coach, Kay Jewelers, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Tommy Bahama, and a dozen more provide at least one option for most shopping needs. We never end up buying a lot here, but the stores are a nice distraction between dinner and a movie. * Parking is free for 90 minutes with validation, but then jumps a $1.50 every 30 minutes up to $6. The theater validation grants extra time, but we still seem to always end up paying. Paseo Colorado may not be a "destination", but it is one of the places outside Old Town that you'll end up at during a stay or day in Pasadena. read more

Oh Paseo... I'm torn. I used to like this place, but it's become a location where retailers have been running away. The only places that keep this Paseo alive are the Arclight, which I truly love, and the various restaurants like Yard House, P.F. Chang's, Islands, Tokyo Wako, El Cholo Cafe, etc. The retail shops here are a mishmash of random stores. You'd have better luck and a much better time just going down the street to Old Town (the main area) for shopping. Equinox is also located here near the other parking structure. The parking is better now that there isn't designated spaces for the supermarket. The better parking situations is somewhat of an ironic blessing considering Macy's and Gelson's is no longer there. There is a fee for parking, but you can get validations from most, if not all, the retailers there. Just don't forget to ask for validation! I do hope that Paseo gets new and better retailers as this place is in dire need of something to pump it up. We'll see what happens in Paseo's future. read more

Paseo Colorado will forever be the ghost of Plaza Pasadena: the hulking 1980 indoor mall built in the name of "urban renewal" that obliterated three blocks of historic architecture, the view through the Civic Center, and pedestrian traffic on Colorado. As indoor malls fell out of favor, an attempt was made to correct the horrific error by taking the top off of the mall, restoring the Garfield Promenade, and opening up shops to the street. The parking structure and first floor of the mall are just an aggressive reskinning of the failed 1980 mall, which is why is feels so poorly planned and strangely laid out. Another 70 million dollar refurbishment is in the works because they just can't get this place to work. I believe that includes a desperately needed reconfiguration of the terrible parking garage. Better stores and restaurants are on their way in including West Elm, Great Maple, and a new H&M to replace the location that closed in old town. Eventually there will be a Hyatt on the site of the old Broadway/Macy's if they ever secure financing. Let's hope this helps bring this ghost back from the dead. read more

Hit or Miss... The stores I love: Bath & Body Works Fashion Q Gossip Starbucks Parking is free for two hours validation that you can get from Macy's. Woot. I like how pretty this place is. It's all outdoors and they have pretty fountains and during Christmas... a beautiful tree. The lights are beautiful. Happy Hours are great around here. I come here during lunch to get my Rubio's fix and then I just shop around Fashion Q and pass the massage guys (that are overpriced compared to SGV) and go have happy hour at Bodega. This has everything! :D Except it lost their Sephora and Mac... sigh :( They even have the chalk walk here every year. So pretty. I want to live in these apartments but they are so expensive. I love the stores and the area. This is a pretty place to chill before going to Old Town. I wish there were more stores I shop in tho... like H& M (old town), Victoria's Secret (Old town), Forever 21 (Old town), Urban Outfitters (old town)... because there is ACTUAL parking here. read more
