I came in looking to exchange tops that I changed my mind about and found a top I could exchange it with, after walking around for about an hour. Upon going to the register I found out that you cant do an exchange for unlike items you can only do exchanges with the same exact item. Which I didn't know, the associate who was helping me "Carolyn" was very rude about the policy when explaining it to me. She wasn't very friendly and had a I'm done with the day kind of domineer. She explained the policy to me in an irritated tone. Then she kept going on about how I said I had the exact items for the exchange, to which I thought she meant the exact items on the receipt. Either way I don't know if Carolyn was having a bad day or if she doesn't know common customer service. No eye contact, head down, no friendly smile and I didn't even get have a good day. That's crazy to me, and to see I was in a neighboring business cause I work on the same block, and you treat a neighbor like that is even crazier. read more

I'll come to this TJ Maxx location periodically when I'm in the area. My last visit was on Sat, 2/15/2025, at around 3:00 PM. This location is fairly big and located on the second floor. They have a wide range of inventory, including women's and men's clothing, home goods, stationery, kitchenware, toys, etc. The store can get a little messy at times. I also discovered they have a good amount of discounted Asian skincare products, including some popular Korean and Japanese brands. During this last visit, I found a Beauty of Joseon serum that I ended up buying. If I had more time, I would be checking out this section more thoroughly! My husband and I have also previously purchased Nike products, clothing, greeting cards, home products, etc., from here. Parking: Parking is available in the parking structure on the second floor. Customer Service: I don't interact too much with the workers when I'm in the store. They are neutral when ringing you up. Just keep in mind that the checkout line gets pretty packed during the weekends. All in all, I'll be back! read more

Horrible ethics!!! I have shopped here regularly for years and have never had an issue until the past 12 months. I am not sure who is managing this location these days, but I am extremely disappointed in the clear decline in service and professionalism. Two recent experiences completely crossed the line. 1. Being pressured to donate. A cashier named Mena pressured me into donating to Joselin Diabetes. I had already said politely, "No thank you," which should have been the end of the conversation. Instead, she responded with, "Not even 50 cents?" clearly implying that I was being cheap. That was inappropriate and unprofessional. I donate a very generous amount to many causes throughout the year, especially organizations fighting child trafficking, cancer research, and education foundations that address inequality. I have every right to choose where my money goes. No customer should ever be pressured, guilted, or shamed into donating at checkout. I also do not appreciate corporations benefiting from tax write offs funded by customers' donations. I am under absolutely no obligation to contribute. She continued lecturing me about how much of a difference it would make if every person donated one dollar. It is ludicrous to assume I do not understand basic math. That is not the point. The issue is principle and respect. To make matters worse, there was a previous instance where an extra dollar was added to my total without my permission. I have proof of this. 2. Pricing inconsistencies. When items are missing price tags, staff have been randomly assigning prices and insisting the cost is higher than what the item actually sells for. I know the pricing because I purchased at the TJ Maxx on Las Tunas and Rosemead prior. It is unacceptable to invent pricing and then argue with customers about it. I expect transparency, professionalism, and respect. This location has fallen far below that standard. read more

I've been seeing my friends post cute Halloween stuff from TJ Maxx. Since it is my favorite holiday, I came here to see what they had. I haven't been to this location before. It's on the upper level of a shopping complex. I suggest parking on that level, so you don't have to haul your purchases downstairs. (Plus, the lower level is reserved for Erewhon.) The store was clean and organized with several cashiers available, which helps the line move quickly. They offer a wide variety of merchandise in addition to clothing and accessories at discounted prices. I had a return to do from a while ago and honestly didn't think they would return it and I DON'T usually return stuff either but anyways the manager Goretti was awesome!! She totally honored my return and gave me full credit for the item, which was jewelry that broke. Such a nice surprise and she was super cool about it too!!! Also the salesgirl Amal was such a sweetheart about it too! She took me to Goretti and Goretti took excellent care of me!!! Normally don't really care about minor things but the associates at checkout can be arrogant and rude. Wife saw a jacket from the runway rack had a tag $149 thought it over left and we came back. Found the jacket again but the tag was missing, no worries went to checkout thinking they can add a new tag. Nope they wanted $199. We told them that was incorrect and if they could please look up the SKU to verify. He didn't want to do that. Manager came out and said it would take him 30 mins to "make some calls" it's funny you let people walk out of your store essentially steal but you try to rob a paying customer. read more

This is my favorite tjmaxx because they always have really good Runway items. The stock is constantly added and I've been here multiple times a week to brand new inventory. The selection is super good. I always find the best deals here. Service is good and the staff is always friendly. The store does get a little messy sometimes and can be a little overwhelming on the weekends but can't beat the deals/finds here. There's a huge parking lot on the roof with free parking. read more

I was in need of a light jacket, as the weather was getting chillier than normal, and I usually don't wear jackets otherwise. I found this TJ Maxx not far from where I had done getting lunch, so I came here to check out their jackets. Not long after I walked in, I found the perfect zip-up. It was my exact size, and my preferred style. I tried it on just to make sure it fit me well, and proceeded to check out. My cashier, Satik, was super nice. She processed my purchase efficiently, and added that much more brightness to my day. This store is kept pretty well stocked and clean. Similar to the TJ Maxx I've been to in Studio City, this place is a good option for clothing needs. Check em out. read more

I don't know what folks are talking about with finding designer items. I saw nothing but a small case of name brand items. This is by far NOT a good TJ Maxx. Maybe I should have gone prior to the Holidays. I did purchase a few bath items, and a large Welcome mat that was on clearance for $10.00. It was shedding like crazy which is probably why it was on clearance, but I figure it's an outside rug, so it doesn't matter. Located on Lakes Avenue, parking structure is pretty dangerous I think. Its just built not the most efficient and safe way. Lets just put it at that. Theres an entrance on the ground level but also at the roof level of the parking structure. Convenient I guess. Store is pretty big but when I went, most of the shelves were empty. Food section was so lacking compared to other places I have gone to. Like the store in general, it looked empty and dull. Lights were not bright enough and it was pretty chilly inside too. I would come here but because of traffic on Lakes Avenue can get really bad and you see so many cops here, I would avoid it. In fact, I saw someone getting pulled over every time I drive down on Lakes Avenue. But most importantly, parking structure is not the safest. read more

3.5 stars! This TJ Maxx seems to have less options but still a nice way to spend your afternoon if you're just window shopping/ an opportunistic fashionista (lol). If you're looking for an actual item, I feel that the TJ Maxx on Rosemead has more options as they seem to utilize their space better (i.e. Rosemead seems to have more cramped aisles). Tips- -Despite offering seemingly less options, it is in a convenient location. You have other shopping options -- you will be across the street from Ross and adjacent to Macy's. If that all fails, you can probably get errands done in one afternoon spent there. There are plenty of local restaurants, Trader Joe's, and a pharmacy nearby, too. -Park on the upper level if you want to enter the store without climbing any stairs/ using any elevators. If you park on the lower levels, the one advantage is it will be covered on a 1) hot summer day or 2) sheltering you from the rain. read more

Messy in some sections, but I just keep to myself and look through things as a form of relaxation. I take me sweet time and no one bothers me. Not my favorite Tj Maxx - La Canada location is better stocked/organized. I rarely ever actually walk out with anything from here but in La Canada I can easily end up spending way more than I need too. The store is one floor. The elevator leads you to the bottom floor which is just an exit to walk onto Lake St. The parking structure is a bit odd so pay attention to the marked signs to make sure you're going the right way. Their is ample parking. The entrance to Tj Maxx is on the rooftop level. Macy's is a short walking distance. This Tj Maxx does carry higher end items at a discounted price. Their high end items are a bit limited compared to other locations. High end items are never guaranteed though- they do not know what comes in the shipments until it arrives so they cannot tell you when they'll get YSL in for example. read more

Came back, maSe lIne and once I informed another associate art he cashier that I have 5 items on hold, I am informed that non of my items were put on hold. One of the more spacious stores in the chain. Pleasant, quick and easy shopping; no complaints. It's in the Lakes shopping complex, right above Macy's. Just park in the garage below, take the elevator up to Level Three and there you are. I appreciate that T.J. Maxx is relatively well-organised in the clothing departments and maintained that way. You don't have to spend too much time searching size or style because it's mostly in order. My friend found a nice cap, and I got a dark stretchy jean. No time to try it on as we had to get downtown. But I usually have okay luck with clothes from the Maxx or its sister retailer, Marshall's. So far, the only difference I've noticed between the two stores is that Marshall's barely deals in any jewelry, where-as TJM has a counter for it, like many traditional department stores. Returns should be a cinch at any TJ Maxx: refunds within 30 days or store credit if gift receipt. Luckily, when I finally did try the jeans they fit fine, no need to take back. A-OK experience. I'm usually a huge fan of TJ Maxx and can spend way too much money in one. However, I stopped by this location on Monday and was slightly turned off. I usually head straight for the purses, and when I did the first one I noticed had a broken handle! Yikes! Not the best to have for show! Yes, I know it's not the fault of the store, but still, my first impression was not a good one. The store also looked a little dark. Maybe it was just me, or maybe it was because it was a Monday, and the lack of shoppers made it gloomy. The store also seemed cold, not temperature cold, but an empty-serviceless- cold. The bags didn't seem organized, nor did it have a nice presentation. There IS a parking structure that's easy to park at and free...that's about all. I'm going to call it a case of the Monday blues since TJ Maxx is still my favorite store to shop at for great designer items at great bargain prices. This location, however, is not my favorite one as of now. I'd like to go back another time, but I'm much closer to Rosemead's and I've always only had great experiences there. read more

So right before I started my long vacation I wanted to get some things from TJ Maxx and since I haven't been to this one before my friend and I decided to go on this mission and yes it was like a real life treasure hunt in a good way!!! This place is super hard to find the entrance to get into this place but once you do you will spend literally hours in the store. They have so many more high end designer brands than even the other TJ Maxx stores. Also I got to give it to the staff this place is soo organized I believe this is one of the best stores I've been in. I found some nice Paige jeans for $15.00 and they were originally a hundred dollars. Soo I grabbed two pairs. Also got some cute hello kitty socks in multi neon colors. Lol while flying in the airplane a lady had asked me where I had gotten the socks at and told her in USA at a store called TJ Maxx. She really wanted to buy one for her daughter. Once I get back to the states in March this is one of my first stops to go and start shopping!!! Yes I have an addiction but what person doesn't ?? One of the best Runway selections I have ever seen! Unfortunatly, not one of those things was on sale. I can dig a $300 dress for $120, but honestly have come to realize that on clearance for $60 brings you even more happiness and not as many evil looks from your husband who then in turn has to buy even more matching silk hangers for my dressing room. Anywho, didn't buy anything this time, though I did try on about 10 pairs of shoes at about $200 each from YSL, Dior, Dolce, Lanvin and Diane von Fuerstenberg, not bad for a TJ's, I'll be back any chance I get. read more

This was the first time I visited TJ Maxx since the quarantine started and I was pleasantly surprised at their attention to detail. There is a clerk at the door to greet the customers and the floor had clearly marked arrows to indicate shopper traffic direction. The store was the most organized I have ever seen it. The clerks were very attentive: I ended up getting more Merch than I had expected and a clerk noticed and happily came to offer me a basket. I purchased two very cute light jackets to wear with jeans and some kitchen organization items. I was very happy with this TJ Maxx today. I can't wait to wear my jackets read more

I was charge twice on one of the items i just bought and didn't realize until i got home. Called back right away and a lady told me they're checking the camera to see what's was going on. Then i asked her if she needed the time of the purchase and the receipt number so it can be easier ( how would she checking the camera without those information?). I ask her if she checked the camera yet. She then told me to come back to the store in order for them to check the camera and give back my credit. It would be nicer if she told me that at the beginning instead of putting me on hold and saying that she was checking the camera. This TJ Maxx is located next to Macy's and has a parking structure available to park in (for free). This TJ Maxx is a runway location, meaning these particular locations sell high end brands (that are not normally sold at their other locations, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't find any of those brands at their other locations... but nearly as much) at their TJ Maxx discounted prices. Currently TJ Maxx and Marshalls (part of the same family) are having a clearance, with red and yellow tag items throughout the store. Knowing this, after my mom and I shopped at Macy's next door, I wanted to stop by here just to see what they had. When I came in (this is a 2 story store, but you have to head to the 2nd floor if you are entering from South Lake, but if you enter through the parking structure, the entrance is only available on the 2nd floor), I immediately headed over to the jewelry department (specifically the locked display case). I saw a few pieces that I wanted to purchase (all yellow tagged), but both employees in this section were busy helping 2 other customers. But one employee did acknowledge me and said she will help me next. But in between helping the customer she was currently with, she unlocked the display case where I was standing and pulled out the items I wanted to look at. After briefly looking over this one necklace, I didn't hesitate to purchase it. This employee rang me up and another customer up. Then she placed my necklace and receipt in a bag. She also gave me a box, but unfortunately the necklace was too big to fit in it but still let me have the empty box anyway. Then I walked over to the clothing and shoe department. I ended up seeing a few pairs of shoes that were yellow tagged and also a real cute iPhone case that actually fits an older iPhone model I have (just an extra phone I have that I only use to surf the net). With these 3 items, I headed over to the register line. Then after paying for my items and preparing to walk out the door, I set off the sensors. After walking back to the register and telling the employee who rang me up what happened, she and another employee double checked that all of the sensors were removed from my shoes. She also rubbed my iPhone case box to demagnetize the sensor, but I still set off the sensor. A manager tried to fix the problem but couldn't figure out why it kept going off. So he told me it is okay to just leave and reassured my mom that no one will run after us thinking we stole anything from this store. This would have been fine, but since we still wanted to shop at other stores around the area, I kept setting off the sensors inside other stores. After feeling quite embarrassed, I walked the long way around back to my car after we were done shopping and not taking a short cut through Macy's to get back to my car (I parked at the parking structure at Macy's) so that I do not set off more sensors (and tell employees in those stores about the item I purchased at TJ Maxx). When I got home, I found the sensor sticker on the box and removed it. Wished the employees who were trying to help me had done that (or maybe I should have just checked myself). But despite this experience, I would still come back here again in hopes of scoring more deals (and just remember to check the sensors on the items I purchased before leaving the store to avoid this headache again in the future). By the way, you have 30 days to return your items (with receipt). read more
