The dude that runs 3rd generation antique store is incredibly friendly he will chat you up and make you feel right at home and give you some cookies if you're nice. I came in to get an old watch's battery replaced and he charged me so little. I don't think I will ever have to go out of my way to have a watch fixed because this guy is legit. read more

DO NOT BRING an expensive watch for change a battery. My watch Tory burch got scratch a lot !!! gold comes off !! And then He couldn't open at the end.How unprofessional! I told about got scratch I felt so sad.But He had no words of apology or anything!! Awww.This is pretty bad! I do not hand out bad reviews but this place is run by a man named Peter who un-apologetically stole a family heirloom watch and never made amends. I had purchased some items from the store (when it was at a previous location) and things had gone well. Peter was nice and over time gained my trust. When I finally had the money to fix a watch I was handed down from my dad, I brought Peter my grandfather's 1950's art deco two tone gold pocket watch to fix. Peter looked at it and asked for a $300 deposit to start the work. Over the course of several months I returned to ask about the progress and he said it was being fixed. Apparently, he had handed the watch to another watchmaker to fix and once the other guy went his separate way, he took the movement and never returned it. When I demanded the watch and deposit back, neither was returned. Peter moved in the mean time and I lost track of him for a while. When I found him again and asked about the watch, he had no idea what I was talking about. I still have the claim ticket and receipt for $300 but he said there was nothing he could do. Peter never returned the empty solid gold case, my $300 deposit or any part of the watch. He never tried to make it right. I went looking for the other guy and found him but he said that everything he was doing for Peter, was left with Peter. Nobody knew anything and the piece vanished. I have searched for a similar piece to replace the lost artifact and have never found another of these watches again. In my estimation, he took at least $2,000 of cash and valuables from me and never returned it. That is the type of behavior you are supporting when you enter his store. Do not trust the business owner. Once the store moved here, I now have to drive by a few times a week and I see the guy and it makes me angry that he can continue to do business. Pasadena police was unwilling to do anything when I reported it as theft because I handed the watch willingly to him. I did not have the time or energy to pursue the small claims court filing and in the end the only family heirloom we had left from my grandfather disappeared without a trace and Peter is absolutely responsible for the loss. The watch was a 3rd generation heriloom that was irreplaceable. Peter is untrustworthy and dishonest in my dealings with him. BEWARE. read more

I bought 3 trinkets which were $5 each and a shirt which Peter the owner told me was $10 so it should've been $25 but he had someone ring me up and they said it was $44. I asked him how it was 44 when the owner told me the prices of everything and he said that it was taxes (btw the owner could hear this but did not say anything). $20 taxes?? Seems like a dishonest place that wants to hike prices up for no reason. I had to dispute this charge with my bank because they didn't do anything for me. read more

This review is for the delicious bread and biscotti that Peter bakes, as well as for his sweet uplifting friendly outlook on life! I stopped by months ago and didnt have enough cash on me for a loaf but he sent me home with it anyways. The bread is crusty on outside and delicious soft and flavorful on inside. Perfect european style bread. My entire dinner was hunks of bread dipped in olive oil with cheese. So driving by today i stopped by to pay him back and he sent me home with a bag of his biscotti. Im usually not a big fan but this stuff is soooo gooood! Thanks Peter! read more

I was kinda on the fence coming here after seeing the last review but said what the heck. This lady thinks a 200$ watch is expensive what does she know. I had a great experience here. Peter was a delight and was able to put new batteries in my watches. He did have trouble with a Versace watch my wife owns removing the case lid but instead of force it he took it with him since he didn't have the correct tool on hand which was fine. He has a lot of cool things to check out in his shop. I got a nice silver ring that he sized. Also got some nice baked treats. Overall great experience. read more

Nice store, large variety of choices for clocks & services. Unfortunately my experience wasn't the greatest. Brought in a clock to get an estimate for my repair and was told that I would be contacted with the problem/price. Later they called and said the clock was done rebuilt but was very over priced. I wasn't given any explanation, pictures or details about the repair. I was upset but paid for the service. When i brought the clock home I realized that it wasn't calibrated properly. I had to calibrate it on my own. After I posted my feedback the owner contacted me to try and give me a deal to take it down. Unproffessional! read more

Omg! I'm never going to get my husbands watch back. They haven't been opened for over a month and one day passing by 2/6/19 they're open. I walked in and spoke to the owner. He said he has my watch to come back Friday 2/8 @2p. to pick it up. Went. Waited there 30 mins, never opened, and he never showed. Going to have to proceed legally to get it back. This is crazy. Brought my very thin gold necklace to get fixed. The chain broke off the pendant and it was too thin for me to try to fix. I dropped it off on Thursday and it was ready within a week. Pete is very friendly and communicative while I waited for my necklace to be ready. I am sure I could have paid a little less elsewhere, but I live down the street and I paid for convenience and customer service. read more

This is a boutique antique shop with a variety of products but mostly jewelry, watches and collectibles. I personally went in to get my watch fitted and my girlfriends necklace re-sized. It was nice to browse at the many different items. I'd probably go back here to find a unique gift for someone. read more
