Pasadena Antique Mall has so many great items to offer! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner clearly takes pride in running a great business. One of the best parts is that there are over 70 different vendors, so you're really supporting a community of small businesses all in one place. I especially appreciate their collection of true vintage clothing from the 1940s and 1950s in the (#123 I'm Your Vintage Gal booth.) It's not something you find everywhere. The store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to browse. There's a wide variety of antiques and home décor, so there's something for everyone. Pasadena Antique Mall is rightly named based on the sheer size of the place. It's enormous. You basically can make a circle though the mall and find various rooms and nooks featuring the merchandise of dozens of dealers. Given that there are a number of dealers represented it should come to no surprise how wide a variety of items can be found here. It ranges from housewares like ceramics and lamps, to clothing, to books to jewelry. You could browse here for an hour and not see half of what they have on offer. I like that, unlike some other antique stores, while there's a lot of things for sale, you can actually navigate the store pretty easily. Big plus in my book. As far as price goes...it's very hard to say. The variety of items is so large, that I'm hard pressed to say whether what's on sale is priced reasonably or not. Located right next to the parking garage. It can be a bit tricky to find the right staircase to get to the area next to the entrance. The entrance is up some stairs in a courtyard type area in between the buildings. Inside was quite packed full of things and dust. What a fun little store to randomly walk into! My husband and I came to the Paseo area for a movie and had 45 minutes to chill and so we went into this shop to browse! We didn't buy anything but we had a fun time browsing. I was very interested in the books! Things seemed a little pricey, but hey~ if you find something you've been looking for, that's kind of cool, right? Anyways~ not much to say here. A cool place to visit and browse to kill time. Not the biggest antique mall, but it's clean and organized, and they have a great selection. There's a ton of books in really good condition. Loved the surprise taxidermy find, too! There weren't prices on all of them, but the employee (I'm sorry I didn't get your name!) was really helpful and called to ask about it. I ended up getting this little hamster for my girlfriend. Absolutely adorable. Came and picked up some vintage postcards and greeting cards. They were 2-3 dollars each. Probably too expensive for what they are but it's fun because they look retro. Cant wait to send them off! The store also had a great selection of books, dish ware, records, novelties, and literally everything you could think of. I found 2 pieces of furniture I really liked. A Japanese carved chair and a Japanese Armoire with some damage in the upper corner. These can be found behind the register. No prices on either piece. The woman who works at the register/front desk reached out to the owner of that spot to find out the prices and the person never responded. That's my complaint about these places in Pasadena. No prices on anything. And if you can get a quote it's based on whatever mood that specific seller is in that day or if they even decide to respond. Eh, I'll take my money elsewhere. read more

Not my kind of ideal for an antique mall; I was starting to feel claustrophobic with the tight spaces and sheer amount of "stuff", er, treasures within their walls. We'd attended the Chalk Festival across the street, and stopped in to get out of the sun and check out the vibe at the antique store. As others have noted, this is a collection of vendors, and each space owner sets up their own displays and pricing. It holds a huge variety of items, including books, entertainment media (DVD's / CD's / vinyl records), housewares, jewelry, furniture, memorabilia of almost any theme you can imagine, and on and on. My favorite vendors had vintage Disneyana, tropical-themed household items & clothing, 60's and 70's era collectibles, and any booth that was just crammed full of items, but rather looked like a plan was in mind. Overwhelming can be one key word to describe it. There's Just So Much Stuff! The walking aisles are minimal, and there are various elevation changes with steps or ramps to negotiate. I'd recommend going with an open mind and a fair amount of time to spend so that you don't get brain overload in the environment. Prices were all over the place, as other Yelpers have mentioned. There are some deals, but also some obviously inflated ideas of what individual items should command in the current marketplace. Dear Hubby picked up a Top Gun logo t-shirt for $10, so that was a decent find. Tropical print men's shirts were quite high; not that much lower than current retail for new. I'd expect that visiting during the week, instead of while a festival is going on nearby, would be less crowded. Am all for preservation of cool vintage items, versus having them go into a landfill. This place does strive to make that happen, so cheers for that! read more

Although the store was quaint and filled with a myriad of interesting items; the customer service was lacking, and I am sure the poor service did not represent the owner's vision for their business. When my family and I walked into the store, two employees did not greet us nor acknowledge our presence; we were invisible. With that, I could not bear to spend my hard earned dollars to purchase a leather bound book, an antique wedding ring, or the Civil Rights Document I was eyeing behind the locked glass case. The best I could do was walk out of their little unfriendly store with my economic spending power in tact, and remind them how important it is to greet all who enter your establishment, or please go find other suitable work that does not involve engaging with people. read more

Neat store but they either need to train their employees on customer service or change their hours. Today I was rudely rushed out well before 7:00pm. It was 6:30pm and one guy said we have 10 minutes if we want to see anything and another guy at 6:40pm was walking around asking if I was going to buy something because they were closed. When I got to the counter, I asked what time they close and one guy said 7 PM and it was clearly not 7 PM, so the other guy said "well we have to be out of here by 7 PM." So if that's the case, then close at 6:30pm and not make paying customers feel unwelcome. They also failed to notify me of the $1.50 service fee when paying via card. read more

I went in here the other day with my friend and we found a couple special things. When we were checking out I went over to the cabinet of silver rings next to the register. I didn't see a lock on the glass anywhere, but rather than try to open the case myself, I thought it would be polite and appropriate to ask if it was okay for me to open the door or if I could see something in the case. Before I even finished my question, the woman behind the counter curtly interrupted me and snapped, "we'll be with you in a minute." She said this with such annoyance and such attitude that I looked directly at my friend and made a face like, oops! I felt like I was a child being scolded. I politely said, okay thank you. I went over to my friend who was paying for the items we found, and when the woman saw that I was with the paying customer, she quickly said, "okay what did you want to see" (in an annoyed tone STILL) I then politely responded with, "No, I'm good, thank you though". I did nothing to warrant her attitude and I was more than respectful and polite. I work in an environment where I'm constantly speaking to people and I would never engage with someone like she did with me. It's just completely unnecessary and totally inappropriate. To be honest, I don't feel like I'll be back to this spot because of this experience with this individual. It's a shame because i don't think she should be the face of the store, nor the reflection of it. Sadly that's the impact her unpleasant and nasty demeanor had on me. read more

To the owner/manager; you have a very rude employee working your store. She's the shortest one, black hair, so shouldn't be hard to spot. I have frequented this mall about three times, all of which have been positive interactions because of your other staff. The moment this young lady steps in, it's dismissive, eye rolls, completely stoic and unhelpful. It made me feel uncomfortable even asking for pricing and I'm not sure what her issue is but I won't be visiting this space any more. read more

My husband and I had such a fun time here! We were there about an hour and definitely could have stayed longer. The vibes were excellent and there was a wide variety of vintage and antique pieces. The employees were friendly but were definitely on high alert for theft. Within seconds of opening a cabinet to get a closer look at something an employee walked by and they prefer to hold things at the front for you. Not a big deal at all, just something to note. 4/5 stars because the selection was so big it was a little overwhelming and the prices ranged from great deals to very overpriced. The staffs are not friendly at all, they get annoyed when you ask them to open the cases, not anything rude but definitely unwillingly; checked around the whole place (without opening any cases any more), didn't find anything worth buying, all of the items are wayyyyy overpriced, a sterling ring simple and just casual would easily go over a $100; definitely not recommend read more

The good: This is a large antique shop located in the Paseo Colorado. There is so much to see here and so many interesting nooks/crannies to the shop. I like the way it is organized and how easy it is to find prices. They have a wide selection of autographed books and first edition books. They have art, dolls, clothing, plates/cups, furniture, and old photographs. It is easy to spend a lot of time here because this place is jam packed with lots of goods. Some fun things I found included: messenger bags made from recycled Vietnamese rice bags, vintage Mickey and Donald Duck plushies, mug shots from the 1800s and old tiny perfume bottles. The bad: The prices are overall pretty high but there are some good steals in there. They have some things in there that I find surprising to be sold but I guess there is a market for everything! Parking is mostly metered street parking. There are some parking garages nearby. The interesting: They take their COVID pre-screening pretty seriously. Before entering the store, you're given a temperature scan and asked questions like: have you been vaccinated, have you been around someone who is sick/has COVID, have you had lost of taste or symptoms of cough, fever, etc. It was definitely more intense than the average retail shop. read more

Well... this has a lot of STUFF... literally you could spend hours walking through if you wanted to see everything. A lot of the items I would say are not the most desirable, but, as with any store... never know what you might find hidden behind a wall of schtuff. None of the workers really approached or acknowledged me but they were busy running to open display cases for other patrons. Overall, I'd say they had a massive item selection--- you name it, they likely have it..., things didn't seem severely overpriced, though definitely marked up some. This is a fairly large store. It is separated by the various cabinets that house the items that are for sale within the store. Plus, this store also has a few separate rooms. The main thing is, everywhere you look you will find something different and this is the great thing about the shop! This antique shop is located on Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena. Thus, when ever you come to the downtown region of Pasadena, it is easy to get to. Take note, this store is not directly located on Colorado Boulevard. But, don't be fooled. It is in the shopping complex and it is housed a bit off of the Boulevard itself. So, just walk inside the complex and it will be easy to find. Overall, this is a great antique shop. I absolutely loved this antique mall. I spent hours here looking at all the different booths. My favorite thing about this mall was the customer service I received! Susie went above and beyond helping me by having a ring I liked evaluated for authenticity, then getting a metal detector for a second look, and finally by mailing me the ring after I completed the purchase long distance. There are few owners or dealers who would go to all of that trouble to help a "booth dealer" complete a sale. Excellent customer service where I felt valued! I will definitely return when we are in the area again! Thank you! All the booths and merchandise are priced by individual sellers. The items I purchased were priced fairly. Unfortunately we were traveling from out of town, and weren't able to fly with these items. Why chase your customers out by burning incense? OMG horrible stank right at the door. I double masked and still could barely stand it. There is a nice variety in the booths but much of it that I saw is priced really high ... like Chairish or First Dibs pricing. I think I got off on the wrong foot with Pasadena Antique Mall. I'd seen the sign for this place on the Paseo about a million times, so I finally stopped in over the holiday break to take a look. There was no one at the door, so I walked in and started looking around. A woman then came in and asked me and the other shopper nearby (a mom and her daughter who couldn't have been over two) to step back while she took temperatures and asked us some COVID-related questions. I stood in the doorway while the mom and daughter took their turn and was surprised to hear the shop gal sternly tell the mother that her daughter was going to need to wear her mask properly. I mean, I'm totally with you on adults wearing their masks correctly whenever in public. 100%! But this kid was two years old--she was wearing a mask but it fell down below her nose. The tone of the shop employee was really just off putting. Anyway, I got through the temp check and strolled around the store. As someone who spends a lot of time at Goodwill, Savers, and the like, I feel like a lot of the stuff here could end up at a thrift store for a quarter of the price. Don't get me wrong, there are some cool pieces, but nothing that I really needed to buy. If you're looking for cool vintage finds in the Pasadena area, save your monies for the Rose Bowl flea when it comes back! read more
