The biggest selection of clothing is women's, although there is a small children and men's area. The shop is in a lovely former private home which also houses the offices of the Assistance League. There are plenty of housewares and decorative items and I often purchase greeting cards there for 75 cents each. The icing on the cake is that the Assistance League was the first nonprofit, non-sectarian, non partisan organization started in the western United States. The League's origin goes back to the great San Francisco Fire and Earthquake when Anne Banning, a Los Angeles society woman, and some of her friends, assisted victims of the disaster. Years later, in 1919, the first chapter of the league was formed and the work continues today. The money raised by the Assistance League goes right back into the local community and supports the arts for youth, among other things. You can drop your donations off during the hours the shop is open.

I also wanted to buy a Chanel jacket that another customer had on hold, but was meant to pick up a couple days prior to this. I thought it was really cool that they reached out to her and we all waited until she gave her blessing before they would sell it to me. It's good fashion karma! :) As an extremely experienced (haha) shopper of new and vintage high-end luxury designer brands, I would say that the vast majority of the luxury vintage pieces were priced fairly and verified this by my own research. I also have no qualms about the authenticity of any of the pieces I interacted with (a TON) - so I would trust shopping with them and will shop again for sure. Ended up with a pink Lagerfeld-era Chanel jacket and a fabulous UN-USED Chanel tote. If I wasn't out of my spending $$$ after that, there was a super cool vintage Marc Jacobs trench and a ton of old school, non-designer (at least non-labeled) vintage jewelry pieces at really great prices that I would've snagged as well. I am a gown girl, and AMT Vintage was beautiful dress & gown Nirvana... pure bliss! The dressing room is glamorous, loved the atmosphere/ambience while slipping into every gown, dress & especially the gorgeous Chloe slip dress... beautiful! Large mirror as well, which was helpful! Customer Service: The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the two girls that work there! They were genuinely friendly & easy-going! They immediately asked if I was searching for something in particular! Once I told them about the theme of the upcoming event, they immediately pulled gowns of different styles for me, and started my dressing room! Their excitement & enthusiasm to help try to find the best gown/dress added to my enthusiasm as well! Hahaha! It was a super fun experience! Vibe: Exploring this vintage shop was like stepping inside the closet of a glamorous socialite, as every dress & item spoke of fabulous stories from the past and present... loved the feeling! This store was a joy to browse through! It's one of the most organized and clean stores I've been to, with a stellar collection to boot. Art, pottery, antiques - there will be something that fits your style! I picked up two pieces of handmade studio pottery and a collector's edition of a great book. Though "bougie" is in the name, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. I'll definitely be back to hunt around for other amazing pieces.
