    Disappointed

Beyond disappointing by how they treat customers. Tonight I shopped at this location and the new LP man was being unnecessarily rude to customers. He kept making remarks for people to hurry up and leave; one of his unnecessary comments were "you should've shopped sooner" and "hurry up, I want to go home," directing all these comments to every customer near his vicinity. We are also associates under the same company at a different location, and we never treated customers this way even when it came towards closing. The manager defended his poor conduct too. The former LPs that were there weren't ever this rude.

Shopping in Pasadena, California... I forgot to bring my jacket. It was a 66-degree afternoon, but I knew that I was going to a movie screening in the evening. It's too inconvenient to go get my jacket... why not just buy one? I chose Marshall's because I'm a card member. We get 5 percent off purchases, points that add up to Rewards, early access on certain days, and invited to special events. Besides needing a jacket (I found a cool one with pockets on the sleeves on the clearance rack), I also wanted to look at the cute Korean skin care products, and use the restroom. All goals were met! Sales associates were helpful and friendly! The dressing room attendant let me place my treasures at her station. The cashier, Miranda, encouraged me to link my card to the app so I can view my Rewards and pay my bill online! Wow... so much more efficient!

I just got back to this location today due to allergy issues and needed to return underwear that I've got 10 days ago and I had a check but no tags since I wash all underwear before wear it. The manager of the store refuse to return money even though I said it caused me allergy reactions. I win't shop this brand and at this location ever again.

Just saw the best deals. Evelyn helped us out today.

Honestly prefer going to TJ Maxx or Home Goods over Marshalls but I actually LOVE coming to this particular Marshalls because its very well organized, clean and everyone who works here are so so friendly! Hair products are one of my favorite aisles to run through because they have many brands to choose from at affordable prices. The stuff they carry indeed varies by locations but I am usually lucky with this one! As far as pet supplies here, not the best because I never really see new stuff or they are just being sold out really quick. Others like TJ Maxx or Home Goods definitely have more selections to choose from. When they opened after being closed for a long time due to coronavirus, line to enter the store was super long and even to check out, it took forever. I didnt go on the first day but the following week and still had heavy traffic. As a friendly welcome-back gesture, they were also handing out free bottled water to those who needs it. Will always frequent this location since its the closest from home and I always have something to purchase here whether its for myself or for my lovely cat!

I found Eva's store while my husband and I were walking along Mission Avenue in South Pasadena. We had moved away from this area almost 10 years ago and wasn't familiar with what business were there now. We knew about the Dinosaur Store, one of the best places to connect with your inner child, across the way, but did not expect to find this Eva's gem of a store across the way. My husband was the one who spotted and encouraged me to walk in and see what was there. It was unpretentious and unassuming from the outside, until you walk in and discover Eva's treasures. I have now been to the store twice and Eva was there both times, to my delight. She is just as lovely as her designs. She took such care helping me find the right dress for a wedding. I could tell that she loves making her customers feel welcome in her special place. And when I finally decided on "the one" (and just like chocolates, it was REALLY hard to take just one), she surprised me again by letting me know that she can have her seamstress make the alterations right there; and that I could come back the same day! I'm so glad that my husband and I took that stroll in South Pasadena. Glad too that he had the patience to let me browse until I found THE DRESS and to meet the lovely Eva! And just like a box of my favorite chocolates, I know that I will keep coming back for more.

I had called, stressed and desperate when the store wasn't even open. She answered, talked me through the options, and treated me like family. The best. Prices are great an on par with what you'd expect to pay at a big store that has less style and no personal touch.

Do you know why Aussies called, " Opportunity shop | Op-shops" where you're looking for thrift shop or " Open air market " in French back in the 1870s. ( Yes, French is on my next bucket list in 2026.) Thrifting is sensational. National thrifting day - August 17th is around the corner. Yes, thrifting is " A THING" in Japan. But I won't be talking about Japan or any boutique in Asia or in Murica. I'm talking about the flea market in Pasadena. Nope, this is NOT about the Rose Bowl flea market. I'm talking about specifically this is over 45 years of family owned - local business in South Pasadena, just happened Jap-American " Op Shop" sitting there and a lot of peeps passing by and no one really notices it including me. One Sunday Afternoon ( Nope, it's not a noir film title),  I walked in this store and have met a generous kind person called Lisa. She didn't even know  YELP exists and barely uses any social media. All the juicy Japanese stuffs there and fortunately, I've got a German made reading glass for under 10 bucks. There's a reason why God sends martial goods and certain people to cross the path if you're in good-deeds. A generational family business store in South-Pass and in need of survival and keep going for the next decade, we need to shop LOCALs. I wish Lisa nothing but the best for the next coming decade and still be true to this " Opportunity Shop" in South Pasadena, a charming, hip and modern city of East side of Los Angeles. I've been swamped with work, reading and running around events that finally catch a breath to write a review. I'm so glad to be stopped by this charming store which is the Asian American Pacific Islander family owned shop and also a kind radiant of Lisa who didn't even know her shop existed on YELP has been contiguous to me.
