I very rarely eat meat or cheese for that matter. But today, I had a strong hankering for a good, ole fashioned cheeseburger. I was so looking forward to biting into a hot juicy burger and fries. My eyes widened and my heart rate quickened when I observed the server walking in my direction carrying my decadent lunch that I sinfully caved into ordering. The anticipation and excitement ended there. Placed before me was a burger that wasn't even warm accompanied by cold fries. Being on a time- constrate, I cut the burger in half and ate about 1/4 of that because as I bit into it, my lips become coated with a layer of hamburger grease. No, I did not approach management to complain because I did not want to add to my anxiety. I chose to leave filled with disappointment. My feeling is that if they prefer to massively precook food so they can more quickly serve it's clientele during the lunch time rush, thereby sacrificing quality, my humble complaint wouldn't make a bit of difference in their practice of precooking the food for faster service, which would result in a larger cash flow. read more

Really surprised by the great reviews here. Came in with my family at my mother's suggestion and all of us were disappointed. My mother stands by the pork chops having good flavor but the meat was overcooked that night. My sister got the hickory burger and thought the meat was so dry she wouldn't have been able to eat it had it not had the sauce on it, which she said was just okay. The dressing on the cole slaw was also described as mustardy and strange... I didn't try that because I don't like coleslaw to begin with. My grandmother's onion rings were good and she liked her cheeseburger, but the sauce paired with the onion rings was disgusting. Vinegary, mustardy, and like.... Miracle whip-y??? I felt like they were trying to make their own Cane's sauce but failed epically. My grilled chicken sandwich was almost inedible. The bread was nice and soft and the chicken was cooked right, but the pesto was god awful and ruined the whole thing. It tasted weirdly minty and I don't know if it was just a fail for that night or if that's their usual pesto recipe, but either way, I ate half and couldn't stand anymore. I had my sister and mother try it to be sure I wasn't being a little pesto princess and they agreed it was really Not Good. The mac and cheese I got on the side instead of fries tasted good but the noodles were overcooked (though I won't say that's unique of Mia's, there are so many places that have mac as a side with overcooked noodles). If I had to go back, I suppose I'd just get mac and cheese and onion rings and ignore the rest of the menu. Furthermore, I didn't order anything with cream gravy here specifically because it has jalapeño in it. I'd say I wish they'd have plain cream gravy if I planned on coming back here. As far as ambience goes, I felt the vibes were off. It was loud AF, and I don't care for cheesy signage like "made fresh!" Like, girl, it better be made fresh, this isn't Mickey D's. I also felt it was expensive? My frankly disgusting sandwich was nearly $14 and I felt guilty my grandmother footed the bill for such mediocre--if not straight up bad--food. My mom and I went here on a Tuesday. All workers were masked and taking precautions. I had the steak salad. It comes with pomegranates and Dijon vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious. The steak was very flavorful and everything paired very nicely together. My mom had the cheeseburger and fries. Definitely good, but we both liked the salad better in terms of overall flavor. Employees will also provide free custard in a cone or small portion which I absolutely loved. Very kid friendly and I hope to go back again when it's warmer to dine outside on a nice day. read more

First time being there. Didn't know we had to order in the front. That was totally my bad. Lol After learning about it everything else was pretty smooth. The food was overly salty but than again it is southern food. Wish the chicken fried steak was more meaty instead of falling apart as soon as I cut into it. To me the Fried pickle was on point but my family hated it. Ribs was finger licking good. Burger was too big for my kid (was bigger than her face). There really isn't much to be said it's your normal southern fried food restaurant. I picked up curbside and the food was promptly delivered and well packaged. We ordered their onion rings that are some of the best in town, great texture and super flavorful. The dipping sauce, which is similar to a come back sauce was also really good. Chicken fried chicken coating was just the right amount and chicken was tender and juicy. I chose the brown gravy which was surprisingly good and non-commercial. Tasted like some thing I would make at home. My sides were the mashed potatoes and the black-eyed peas. Nice home cooking feel once you walk in. Menu will look like basic choices once you order but the food is above average in taste, preparation and presentation. The Hickory Burger is just ok, served with enough slightly warm fries to give you a full tummy. The burger took way too long at 1:30 pm to be served. The young lady at the order desk was very personable. The concept is cute but they seem to have a identity crisis on what this placw is supposed to be. Country music blasting, TV's everywhere with sports and tryin to be country doesn't work. Plus asking for tips when your server doesn't take your order or do anything but deliver food is not my idea of a place I will go to eat again. Maybe it suits millenials but I tip when I really do get service, not for an average meal in a resturant that is in essence a fast food place with no fast on their delivery of the food. Can't believe we waited so long to try this SB gem. Mia's Table is a family-friendly spot with delicious food. We ordered the chicken fried chicken platter with green beans and mac 'n cheese, shrimp and catfish platter with sweet potato fries and a kids chicken tenders basket. Everything was delicious for the most part, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet potato fries. There's plenty of parking and a large patio. Right next to the patio is a playground. This was a huge hit for us because we've got a very energetic 3-year old. We were able to finish our dinner while watching her play. It was a great experience overall.
