I called the restaurant immediately to notify them of the issue and the manager listened and tried the dish in their kitchen realizing their oversight. He called me back to apologize and to inform me that he will be refunding me my order. I was stunned as this level of service rarely occurs these days. This place is tucked away in a little shopping center in which I frequent and did not come across the establishment. The ambiance is relaxed with familiar Latin decor including pictures of La Loteria cards. I got El Toxico michelada with a Pacifico. The mix was salty and savory. The food was delicious in a traditional preparation. The carnitas were braised to perfection. The service was friendly and playful. I will be coming back. read more

2nd time here and I wasn't too happy with the chicken tostada bowl. I don't usually get chicken but thought it would be a better choice than beef. I was wrong but that's not their fault. Mi Sabor Mexican Kitchen is a cute restaurant with plenty of interior and exterior seating. The decor is very bright and festive. The main reason that MayLene D. and I came here were for their DRINKS. As soon as the waitress asked if we wanted to start off with some drinks, we knew exactly what we wanted. Maylene D. went with a Margarita Flight ($15) that came with a mango, strawberry and original. I went with the Mimosa Flight ($15) with guava, peach, desert pear and strawberry. The drinks were tasty and vibrant and made our trip worth it. They also brought out some complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were freshly made, but the salsa wasn't that great. I feel like truly delicious chips and salsa are so addicting you can't stop eating it. I don't have good self control so it's pretty mediocre. As for the food, I looked through their photos and menus nothing really called to me. The menu is pretty basic. Nothing you can't find at other Mexican restaurants. MayLene D. had the Two Crispy Tacos Plate ($13) with the potato and beef tacos which are topped with lettuce, tomato and cheese. These plates come with rice and bean. I went with an order of Pozole ($13). Just as an observation MayLene D. finished her potato taco, but kind of picked at the beef one and didn't finish it. Looks like it was just okay. My pozole was okay... like not bad but nothing I would come back to. The meat in the pozole was a bit dry and I personally prefer a fattier meat with better flavor. If the pozole was bomb, I would have picked up that bowl and drank all the soup... but it wasn't. Come for the drinks but don't expect too much from the food. You might get some good photos in of your food for social media. Their presentation is on point. read more

The atmosphere is quite festive. The menu is extensive, with breakfast items served all day. Our lunch group enjoyed chicken flautas, potato taquitos, breakfast torta, and green chilaquiles. We were all pleased with our yummy choices. Chips and salsa were served before we ordered. The chips were fresh and the salsa had a nice kick but not overpowering. Yes this restaurant is pricey for mediocre food, but I was a regular due to their vegetarian options; ordering on door dash weekly. Besides the salsa not being including for $20 burritos unless we paid extra, today (7/30 at 4:10pm) I spent $24 on a tostada salad for pickup and also ordered water. Sandy (or Sandra), with attitude, says "sorry we don't have water cups" with a fake smile. Again, Sandra had no customer service skills. I was taken back, went to my car, contemplated going to Starbucks for water, when it hit me I just spent $24 here, I saw plastic to go cups in stock, its a 92 degree summer day, I am a regular here, & I cannot get a cup of water to go to eat on the road with my salad? They gave me the water when I came back in after they had to ask management. The young woman who helped me was sweet, unlike Sandra. The staff was friendly, food was good. Carnitas taco was my favorite. We walked in on a random Tuesday after visiting another establishment in the same shopping center. Let me start by saying the service was good! Tha atmosphere/ambiance was pleasant and the location was easy to find. However the food was sub par for SGV. Nothing I ate was "homemade" and all the hot food I ate was microwaved including the tortillas. I ordered Chile Verde it was unbeatable. I purposely left it at the front edge of our table mostly untouched to see if the staff would ask me if I liked it. Crickets ... BIG red flag!!! Come here often! Found this place during Covid and it has never let me down. The platter and Torta sandwhich are my go-tos!! Brunch Sundays and giant beers are a must as well. The service is always great, friendly and always remember us. Ambiance is awesome as well, I feel like I'm hanging out at my family's house for dinner. The only down side sometimes is the music is super loud, especially if you do Sunday brunch when they have live Mariachi but it's not anything that's a disqualification from enjoying it. read more

I'm sorry to say this, but this place is not it. They don't bring chips or salsa out when you're seated. The jamaica or any of their other waters taste like NOTHING. The chilaquiles, red sauce... I requested with a poached egg, I usually ask for overeasy but I LOVE a poached egg and let me tell you, it was meant for my chilaquiles. It was all about flavor, and not salt or over seasoning, the ever and always important sauced but still crispy tortilla chips, perfect crunch factor. My only problem was I requested the carnitas as the additional meat option to "add", but was delivered an entire carnitas plate with rice and beans. :( I'll definitely be back for the chilaquiles. I saw this on Yelp and my sister and I decided to try it. LOCATION: It's loca in a shopping center. Lots of parking available. STAFF: The guys serving were very friendly and have great customer service skills. This business is very lucky to have great employees that seem to love working. The paintings are very nice to look at. - TAQUITOS: The taquitos were a bit to hard and very little meat. Could have been a bad batch though, it happens lol - SOPES PLATE: The sopes were ok. When you've grown up in a Mexican home and been around other Hispanic families with amazing food you know what the food should taste like when it's authentic Mexican food or when it's "Americanized". I enjoyed the great presentation of our dinner. The mole was delicious and the steak and shrimp was delicious as well. I don't give it 5 stars due to our margaritas. Maybe I'm used to a stronger flavor, but I felt the margaritas needed more flavor. My wife and I had the flan for dessert and it was delicious!
