Cool, dark ambiance and super friendly staff! It's Tapas-style and great recs were given by thee waiter. I got the cucumber dish and crispy tuna rice! Both fantastic! The cucumbers were spicy, sweet, and packed with fresh flavor and the crispy rice was the perfect savory crunch. Left the place, full, but not stuffed and so satisfied. Will definitely be back!

Noko's little sister is all about bold flavor. You may recognize some crossover menu items here in a more casual space in a strip mall. Lots of salt and umami await you whether ordering the popcorn shrimp, k-pop chicken, mi cucumbers, or the signature sticky rice with spicy tuna. Best bite of the night was the edamame and truffle dumplings. They are so rich and velvety. The only let down was the cocktails. Not a very balanced taste in the Guava Nova - no tequila flavor - just tasted like juice. We had great service, and the staff is very efficient and friendly.

Mi Kitchen is a true hidden gem tucked away in a small strip mall in Franklin and trust me, it's popular, so reservations are a must. I kicked things off with the Bourbon Peach Smash, which was delicious and fun (bonus points for the two gummy bears floating inside). Now onto the food. Mi Kitchen is known for its modern spin on Korean cuisine, served tapas-style small plates meant for sharing. There were four of us at the table, and everything flowed perfectly. For veggies, we ordered the Cauliflower and the Broccoli Rabe. The broccoli rabe absolutely stole the show. The chojang sauce was incredible packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. A must-have. Next up was the Crispy Spicy Tuna with crispy rice. The tuna paired beautifully with the rice crunchy, spicy, and perfectly executed. Another must-have. Then came the K-Pop Chicken BAM. Wow. So good. Loaded with flavor and coated in a sweet-and-spicy sauce that hits just right. Yet another must-have. We also tried the Gnocchi, which was very good, but the real standout was the shrimp. They were amazing--perfectly cooked, with what I believe were almonds adding a great texture and flavor. Absolutely a must-have. Finally, the Egg Rolls crispy, delicious, and served with an outstanding sauce that tasted like it had pineapple juice in it. Sweet, tangy, and addictive. Beyond the food, the service was excellent very attentive, and the pacing of the dishes was spot-on. The restaurant also has a cool, energetic vibe that makes the whole experience even better. If you live in Franklin, what are you waiting for? Go check out Mi Kitchen you'll be glad you did.

I was in Nashville earlier in November. My friend took me to Mi Kitchen to pick up some entrées and yummy food from this restaurant. She ordered takeout after our Bible study class. She ordered a variety of dishes for me to try. We had some sorta spicy chicken wings and chicken pieces with a sweet sauce. Both were crunchy and tasty. Then we had a kale salad that was light and flavorful. Service was good. The ordered was not quite ready when we arrived . The restaurant was large with many tables and chairs. There was a full bar and many people were dining in for lunch. I may return if I am in Franklin again. The food overall was good.

Absolutely amazing gem in Franklin. This is a Korean fusion restaurant where you can get a taste of the Korean food mix with other ethic dish. All the food here was great! They serve tapas style so the small plates are great for sharing to sample different plates. K-pop chicken was great but I was impressed by the Kimchi risotto. You get the hint of Kimchi taste and the rice was cooked well to reflect the real risotto. The atmosphere is cozy and nice. Their service is great and love the fact that it's truly owned by Koreans.

Every time I come to Mi Kitchen, I always feel happy inside. After coming in for dinner, I decided to give lunch a whirl! I called for an order for pick up right at 11:30, it was ready within 30 mins! I ordered the K-Pop chicken, Glass Noodles and Mi cucumber! Would recommend the cucumbers and the glass noodles! What a heart warming establishment, this restaurant has won my heart and I already know it will win yours over to!

This place I will have to say I wasn't expecting it to be as good. Also for a tapas place their portion sizes are well sized! The food came out hot and had lots of flavor!! My favors were the k pop chicken and the cucumbers. I could have took some of this cucumbers home!! I think it's the sauce they use for them that just makes everything come together. The tacos!! I never seen any tacos filled that high.. you have to try them! The chicken was crispy and saucey! I didn't need to modify anything here. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely visit again.

We had another wonderful evening at Mi Kitchen last night when our power went out. The kale salad was a standout for me as I am trying to eat more greens - it perfectly massaged, full of flavor, with golden raisins, crispy quinoa, and shaved parmesan. The Mi Cucumber salad leaned a little heavy on the soy dressing, but still refreshing and one we'd happily order again as a side. We tried the K-pop wings this time and while it had the same great flavor, we'll stick with the K-pop chicken in the future since it's meatier. The glass noodles were the star of the night for us - absolutely phenomenal, the best we've found anywhere, and now a must-order for every visit (along with K-pop chicken). I also tried the Cute-tini, which comes in an adult Capri Sun-style pouch with a light-up bag and curly straw, it was so fun and creative - felt like a mini vacay vibes treating myself! I wasn't sure I'd love the cucumber juice or Korean soju (first time trying), but it surprised me, and I ended up really enjoying it. As we experienced here before and at Kore, the service was excellent attentive, efficient, and welcoming, even though we stopped in closer to closing time than we would normally come (about 35 mins before). We're such fans and excited to keep working our way through the entire menu!!

Wow the food here is SO good! I absolutely loved every plate we got! Lots of options to choose from and there's a little bit for everybody. Portions are good sizes and easily shareable. The staff was also wonderful and love the ambiance of the restaurant!

The food is amazing! Mi Kitchen has the most intentional and elevated menu with Asian fusion items. Everything was excellent! We had the glass noodles, the cucumber appetizer, the dumplings, the popcorn shrimp, and the taco. We were visiting friends in town, and because Mi Kitchen was so good, we went twice. The servers were excellent, and the presentation of each dish was thoughtful and elegant. We will definitely be back next time we are in Franklin! read more

Stop what you're doing and come here now!! Chef Yun is awesome, bringing in the Spanish vibe of tapas to Asian inspired food! We came here on a Wednesday night and it was poppin! This means this place is fire especially of the obscure location aka people coming intentionally to come here :-) My husband and I had their popcorn shrimp (fried with bright flavors! One of our favorites for the night), k pop chicken, steak and crispy rice tuna - ALL the dishes were so great and so thoughtfully crafted! Chef Yun checked on us towards the end of the night, he is so kind and wonderful and had such a personal touch. He definitely didn't have to but we really appreciated it! We love it! All the great reviews are well deserved. The best part of Mi Kitchen is that my 2 young kids, who are picky eaters, love it. My son loves the lamb chops, and they are always perfectly cooked. The k pop chicken is delicious, always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The crispy rice that comes with the tuna is phenomenal. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. Depending on what we order, we can easily get out of there under $200 with alcohol and tip, usually with leftovers. read more

This would be my favorite restaurant in Franklin if they didn't squeeze people in like sardines. Amazing food and amazing service, but being uncomfortable the entire night due to having no room makes it not worth going. Very hot inside the restaurant as well. I won't be back until I hear that they have fixed this issue. read more

This place was so good we went back the next night. I think night one we tried half the items on the menu and everyone loved it all. The KPop chicken was really good as were the wings and tacos. On night two we added the Glass Noodles, Popcorn Shrimp and both desserts. Cocktails were also great including the Capri bags! Friendly and efficient service on both nights! read more

What a great spot to enjoy some high quality Asian food! I had the cucumber and hamachi appetizers followed by the vegetable donburi. I thought the quality of your ingredients was very good. Hamachi was fresh. Cucumbers were awesome. I was a bit full when I ate the Donburi but I think it was very good. If I were to order it again I would order the beef one. Service was outstanding and I see why they have the ratings that they do. read more

Coolest restaurant in Cool Springs. Loved everything we got. Crispy spicy tuna was the star dish. I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life. No picture of the deserts, but don't skip on them. Unexpected gem in Franklin. My wife and I were impressed. We only went for lunch so only sampled a few things, but everything we had was excellent. We've tried a bunch of disappointing tapas places in the Nashville area so we were pleasantly surprised. Interesting and innovative combinations of flavors. And everything just worked from the plantains to their spicy tuna. Highly recommend and want this one to last. read more

This place is awesome. We walked in for dinner and were quickly seated at the bar, which was well-stocked with imported Asian beer/sake/soju and had 80s cartoons playing on the TV. Met the chef/owner. We asked him for food recommendations, and he told us everything on the menu is his baby. This is more obvious when the food arrives (and it quickly did). You can taste the hard work he has put into his craft. Everything we ordered was off the charts delicious. For dinner they feature Asian fusion tapas that are a little on the pricier side but worth every single penny. Franklin is extremely lucky to have an establishment that offers amazing flavor with every bite, no matter what you order. We had the mi cucumber, crispy spicy tuna, gnocchi poki, kpop chicken, and beef taco. All were amazing. Pro tip: It was not on the menu (not sure why not?), but we found out we could order a $2 side bowl of plain white rice to accompany and balance all of the rich flavor of the food. read more

I visited Mi kitchen last night. I had high hopes for something other than upscale southern food and it did not disappoint. Mi kitchen is a phenomenal dining experience in Franklin. There is truly nothing like it south of Nashville. It is located in a very unassuming strip mall on Carothers. One you are inside, you are transported to an immersive Korean experience. Our waiter guided us through the drinks and food and made great suggestions. I ordered an adult Capri Sun with soju in it. Such a fun and refreshing drink! We shared 5 tapas dishes and each was a flavor explosion - super unique combinations of ingredients. Our favorites were the crispy spicy tuna, the udon noodles, and the K-pop chicken. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their delicious food. Please go support Mi Kitchen - this one needs to make it! read more

Wow! Amazing food! We ordered K-pop chicken, Fortune Udon, and spicy tuna crispy rice. All 3 were amazing! The chicken was crispy yet tender and moist! The fortune udon flavors were so good with just the right amount of spice! The crispy rice served with spicy tuna was awesome as well! For dessert we ordered caramel sauce with ice cream and my husband and I just laughed it was so good! The staff was nice, helpful, and attentive. Love the understated hidden-gem vibe of this place! The food was exciting and delicious and the service was much better than most other spots around town. Everyone loves the K-pop BBQ Chicken and for good reason! Perfectly seasoned/glazed and crunch for days. My top fave was the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna. As noted in previous reviews, I always judge a Chinese spot by their wonton soup...and Asian Taste came through with some of the best wonton soup I have had in the area! The egg roll was more of a spring roll, but it was fried to perfection and packed with the goods, so again, I let it slide. All the food was hot and delicious, and plentiful. Without a doubt, Mi Kitchen stands out as one of the best restaurants south of Nashville and, in my opinion, claims the title of the best restaurant in all of Cool Springs. Mi Kitchen was nothing short of a surprisingly great experience. Each dish we tried left us craving for more. To start, this is NOT fine dining--I'd consider this more of a "classy comfort food" vibe. Here are some highlights: Tuna and Crispy Rice: The combination of tuna and crispy rice was simple and delicious. It perfectly embodied what one would expect from such a simple dish. Cauliflower: Even the seemingly humble cauliflower was transformed into a culinary delight. The flavors were bold, almost curry-like--probably the "worst" thing we had and we still cleaned the plate. Korean Fried Chicken: The Korean fried chicken was a crispy delight, showcasing the chef's expertise in creating a really solid balance of texture and flavor. Bulgogi Bowl: The Bulgogi bowl was a savory delight, with the marinated beef stealing the show. The rice was cooked well, which is never a given. Every dish had a special sauce that added to the already fantastic taste. Moreover, the staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. I enjoyed the food so much that I can't stop thinking about it.
