Amazing fries, hilarious staff and amazing food. Just go. Favorite fries in Franklin. Awesome dive bar vibe with elevated food on the menu. Great for guys to sit at while others are shopping Ask for the peanut tequila shot... lol Did I say I liked the fries? Like curly fries but not curly.

A+ for the classic old school decor and old time feel. Drove down to Franklin to get away from Broadway for a night and check out the old school charm and vibe. Think old architecture classic buildings. We popped into Grays for a drink and immediately fell in love with the decor and old school vibe. The bartender was a true mixologist. Both cocktails we tried, the Grays and the Giant Peach and also the Anthym Spirit were delicious. The bartender was friendly and informative on the area and also the bar itself. He knew his craft for certain. We don't go upstairs for the live music as we were heading somewhere else after this stop, but this is a must stop if you're in the area. Cool old town feel on the main drag through town and a lot of rich history in this place. Go check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Gray's is regarded as a Franklin date-night staple and after our Friday evening of eats & drinks, I am glad to say its reputation holds up. Seated by the window at table for two, we watched Main Street buzz while we chased our own, me with the "Main Street Squeeze" (tasted like a liquid creamsicle) and he with Some Sorta Bourbon Pour (the particulars of which are unbeknownst to me). As a starter, we chose the bacon wrapped figs and agreed we could've eaten about an entire popcorn bucket full of them... They hit all the right sweet / salty / smokey notes that keep a person wanting juuuust oooone more. My red blooded American date went with the New York Strip for his entree, while I opted for the Heritage Fried Chicken per our server's ringing endorsement. We had not a single complaint as we smiled and ate and stole bites off each other's plates. I can't think of a single way that our Gray's outing could have been improved and I will look back on the whole experience fondly.

Really tasty food. Definitely recommend to start with the Bacon Wrapped Figs and Crispy Smashed Potatoes...super yummy. The Rose Cocktail is delicious and quite beautiful and is similar to a Cosmo. The Looking Glass is a strong gin drink that mimics an Old Fashioned with the block ice but nice if you love gin. For dinner I would absolutely recommend the Fried Chicken...SO good. The Shrimp and Grits were yummy but you have to understand they are not your typical grits. Uniquely enough, they add popcorn to the grits as they are made to create a thicker consistency. Personally, I would stick with the beautiful recipe of the shrimp with okra and sausage but keep a more traditional grits recipe. We tried to order coffee and dessert but oddly they were "Out of coffee." Great service with ample parking as it is downtown Franklin. A definite must for a casual evening out. @YelpNashville

yes yes yes we loved our time here! definitely make a reservation on bust weekend nights! it's super easy through the website, but they will charge you $25 per person if you cancel your reservation last minute on them (which is fair they're a busy restaurant!!) please note: they do change their menu so if you like something now it might not be around next time you go back! we loved our food! we had the shrimp and grits, fried chicken, and seafood alfredo. Everything was wonderfully seasoned and was full of flavor. everyone loved their meals and we can't wait to go back and try more things from there! definitely recommend coming here! it's a super cute restaurant with friendly staff! it's perfect for a date night, or a family dinner!

There are restaurants that feed you, and then there are places like Grace on Main where the food tells a story, where the atmosphere feels like an invitation to something bigger than just dinner. On a weekend getaway from Miami, Fl we arrived at Franklin, Tennessee, definitely has its share of charm, but this spot? This is where old Southern hospitality meets a kitchen that actually gives a damn. The afternoon started with Anthym Spirit twice. Because one wasn't enough. Smooth, with just the right balance of heat and depth, the kind of drink that sets the tone for a night you'll want to stretch out as long as possible. Then came the starters. Crispy pimento cheese with moonshine pepper jelly a mix of crunchy, creamy, sweet, and spicy that demands a second bite before you even finish the first. Country-style cornbread, rich and golden, the way cornbread should be none of that dry, flavorless nonsense. And then the birria mac and cheese because why not take something already indulgent and make it richer, deeper, better? Slow-braised, unapologetically cheesy, the kind of dish that makes you shake your head and smile at the same time. But a place like this is more than just what's on the plate. The atmosphere hums with energy warm, inviting, full of people who know they're in for something special. And the service? Attentive without being intrusive, like an old friend who just happens to know exactly when to refill your glass or bring out that next round of perfection. Grace on Main isn't just another Southern-inspired restaurant. It's the real deal unpretentious but undeniably excellent. The kind of place you walk out of already planning your return.

Some of the best mixologists in Tennessee! All of the cocktails and options are top notch! Great food as well. And just met Jason Aldean in here...nice guy!

With a Resy requirement of $25 per person to guarantee a reservation, Gray's might require some planning to make sure you can get a table. But instead of the stuffy restaurants that usually require that deposit, Gray's is a super homey, casual spot serving delicious Southern favorites. Servers are friendly and dining here was really a relaxed experience. Highlight appetizers include the fried pimento cheese balls and cornbread. Burgers were appropriately messy and cheesy, but there are also some delicious salad options that you can veganism. Deducting 1 star for not having a veggie burger option.

Nice atmosphere and plenty of servers. Menu looks limited but a full bar on both floors and a stage for a band to play.

Stairway to second and third floors.

How are Covid precautions here?

The owner posted and endorsed an anti-mask rally in defiance of the mayor's mask mandate. That should tell you all you need to know.

Any gluten free options?

Yes....there are, but I don't recall the specific menu items. ?

We started off with the Mini Donuts with dipping sauces, and they were a huge hit! Unfortunately, I was off my game and forgot to take pictures of some of the appetizers before they disappeared. We also ordered the Spinach Dip with chips, and a definite must have, the Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon. Wow... those were sooo good! For the entrees, I went with the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and it was perfection. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Fingers and Fries, great comfort food with amazing flavor. The fries are the thin-cut style, which makes them extra good. The granddaughters split a hamburger and absolutely loved it. The service is always great here, but this visit had a special touch. The granddaughters wanted a carrot to feed to their stuffed bunny, and the waitress actually brought one out for them! Little things like that make a big impression. Overall, a great brunch, great service, and a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Loud from the crowd, but still fine for conversation, and the tables/booths were spread enough to provide decent privacy. Made a note that the bar looked very attractive and appealing. Limited draft selection, though the by the glass wine was about the best list I've ever seen in a restaurant, and quite reasonable on pricing. Food comes out fast. Wait people are efficient and helpful. Started with a split salad. We ordered the Little Gem but actually received the Caesar. Not a big deal, though it was badly over dressed, so whatever salad we order (or whatever we're served) in the future, it'll be dressing on the side. After having a tough time deciding what to order on our first visit, I went with the tuna. The tuna slices were nicely rare though the dish was very bland. A pop of pickled ginger on the side, but some wasabi, or even a hit of salt, would have helped a lot, and the dipping sauce was off and bland, could have really used some more soy sauce. Wife got the crab cakes. The cakes were really nice jumbo lumps, very good quality, and the shoestring fries delightful (though I might order them well done next time for a bit of extra crunch). We'll be back and will enjoy exploring the menu further. There's clearly 5 star potential here, we just need to learn the best dishes to order.

No hacks, no substitutions, no overthinking it, just a quietly elite Southern breakfast move that feels like it deserves its own line on the menu. The foundation is what makes it work. The grits here are genuinely excellent, creamy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. And it's not a small scoop either; the bowl is three side orders of grits. This is not a light breakfast situation. One practical note: they're thick enough that they show up without a spoon. Not a complaint, just a moment of "respect the density." Once you break the yolks, though, everything loosens up into that rich, cohesive, borderline dangerous comfort food zone. What stands out is how unbothered the kitchen is about it. It comes out clean, properly executed, no questions asked, as if this is just a completely normal, correct way to eat breakfast. Bottom line: simple, rooted in Southern tradition, and easily one of the best ways to experience Puckett's grits.

For starters, we tried the Burrata with Kasundi and Roti, which was good, though it would've been even better with a bit more roti. The Corn and Jalapeño Fritters were absolutely delicious. For mains, we ordered the Pesto Cavatelli, Malaysian Cauliflower Curry, and the Two Hander Burger. The Malaysian curry was the standout -- full of flavor and really well done. The burger was also perfect, juicy and satisfying. We ended with the banana walnut bread with espresso mascarpone, which was a delicious way to wrap up the meal. This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.

Nonetheless, he knew the menu, the specials, the drinks, and suggestions! We loved each and everyone of the suggestions and choices we made. Our dining experience started with the signature old fashion followed by a bottle of Heitz Cellars Cabernet! We ordered the lamb and brisket buns. Both were savory, delicious and well prepared. Followed by their Sushi Roll. It was described as "if you love sushi, you've never had anything like this." (I've had a ton of Sushi all over the world, and this was a spectacular Hamachi Roll.) we rounded out our meal with the Butternut Burrata and bread basket and a Beef Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and able to be cut with a fork. (I am salivating thinking about how perfectly it was prepared.) Just when we thought it couldn't be any better our server suggested we look at the dessert menu. He tempted me with a blood orange sorbet followed by a peanut butter chocolate pie. AMAZING! The fun thing was, I consumed the Heitz Cabernet throughout my entire meal - all the way through dessert. My high remarks to the chef and the staff because this team knows how to please and perform flawlessly!
