I found this place on yelp and was very intrigued because I can honestly say I have never been to an Australian restaurant! They had a good happy hour. Our server was really nice. The ambience is beautiful. This is a great place for a date night, but also a nice place to take the family, especially if you want to try some new foods, which our family likes to do! We had the harissa chicken bowl - awesome! There was a chicken dish that starts with an S- can't remember - Al's yummy. All lots of African inspired seasoning. Delicious and unique. Visited Two Hands Restaurant for the first time to try Australian cuisine, and it was a good experience overall. Honestly, it felt more like a fusion-style menu rather than distinct Australian specialties, but the food and service definitely stood out. The place is well maintained, and the highlight of our visit was the service. Our server was amazing -- she took great care of us, explained the menu clearly, and helped us pick dishes, which made the experience even better. For starters, we tried the Burrata with Kasundi and Roti, which was good, though it would've been even better with a bit more roti. The Corn and Jalapeño Fritters were absolutely delicious. For mains, we ordered the Pesto Cavatelli, Malaysian Cauliflower Curry, and the Two Hander Burger. The Malaysian curry was the standout -- full of flavor and really well done. The burger was also perfect, juicy and satisfying. We ended with the banana walnut bread with espresso mascarpone, which was a delicious way to wrap up the meal. Sunday was our first time to try two hands. We have driven by their Nashville location many times and it was definitely on my radar. We went to the Franklin factory location for Sunday lunch. Everything about our visit was outstanding. I love the space itself. It is very light and airy with plants. Truly welcoming. Our server was great. She was attentive, but not overbearing. Let's talk about the food. Our food was absolutely amazing! I got the harissa chicken lentil bowl and my husband had the two hand hamburger. We kept raving to each other how delicious our meals were. We also tried the lavender lemonade. It was slightly sweet and very refreshing. This is going to be one of our very favorite spots. Somehow we were able to make a reservation on Thursday for a Saturday brunch at 11 for three of us! Thank goodness because I have been wanting to try them out! We were seated quickly and had great service our entire time. It wasn't over the top, just showing up at the perfect times to not make us feel rushed and enjoy our food and time together! Everything I had here was delicious! My friend and I decided to grab a seat at the bar, and we had wonderful service. The bartender recommended we try the meatballs, so we ordered those as well as their brussel sprouts and croquets. The brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy, and had a nice dusting of cheese on top. The meatballs were paired with an amazing tomato sauce that came with bread to soak up the extra goodness. The best appetizer was the croquets. They were melt in your mouth delicious, and came with the perfect lemon aioli on the side. For dessert we split the miso brownie, and we each ordered a banana bread espresso martini. Awesome brunch spot! I've been to the fabulous Two Hands location in Austin before, and was excited to go again in Franklin! I tried the iced strawberry matcha, which was delicious, and I'm picky about matcha. I also had the lemon poppy seed waffle which hit the spot. Side of bacon tied it all up for me. The three other ladies I had the pleasure of dining with all had the breakfast muffaletta. My grandma's comment was: "I don't think these people have ever even driven through Louisiana." I believe it left something to be desired by them. I wanted to order the breakfast burrito, but the menu read "limited substitutions allowed" which made me think the burritos were pre-made and turned me off from it. This is one of those restaurants that is loud. Minimal noise absorption. I frequently dine out with people my senior, so I hear this feedback a lot. More fabric on walls + ceilings in restaurants, please!!! The staff here is incredibly nice. Cool, young people aboud in this part of the world. I had a great time chatting with our waitress. Two Hands is one of my favorite Franklin restaurants. Their food is both creative and delicious. The restaurant has a clean, sleek feel. Most of the seating is booth style. It's family friendly with high chairs and coloring sheets offered. The service here has been friendly. The servers have been knowledgeable about the menu and willing to provide suggestions. The pace of service here is a little more leisurely. I love the coffee and tea drinks I've had so far. The Strawberry Matcha is my favorite. It's just slightly sweet and smooth. The Chai Latte was good too. I'm eyeing their mocktails for a future visit. Henry's Chicken Salad Sandwich is incredibly delicious. The chicken salad has pistachios, the grain bread is tasty, and the mango chutney is a delicious burst of flavor. The spicy slaw on the side is good too. The PIri Piri Chicken is tender with delicious sauces on the plate that add a nice heat. The grain salad served with it is light and tasty. Their fries are different than any others I've had. They are perfectly crispy. The spicy chili fries on the appetizer menu are great. The Crispy Brussels are very flavorful. I loved them. The Tamari Mushroom Bowl has lots of fresh vegetables and soba noodles with a tasty dressing. The only thing I'd change with the chicken and noodle bowl would be to decrease the dressing. The dressings and sauces are delicious, but the amount of it gets heavy by the end. The Coconut and Key Lime Pavlova was a lighter and refreshing dessert option. The key lime curd was my favorite part of this. I'm excited about Two Hands and it'll definitely be a regular spot for me. Foodies who love unique options will enjoy Two Hands. read more

I've been to Two Hands a handful of times (wink). There is something about the bright atmosphere and the fresh, well-executed dishes that keep me coming back. The sourdough is always killer, so for Sunday brunch I ordered the seasonal toast (pictured). It was flavorful and filling, if a smidge too salty. My mom had the breakfast burrito (which I've had before) and also remarked on the salt-level. Their espresso is solid. I loved my beautiful, gorgeous, charming little cappuccino. The dusting of cocoa powder added a chocolatey scent and slightly bitter taste to each sip, something I wish all cappuccinos would be crowned with. What holds back the fifth star for me is a sense of paltriness that permeates each plate. Why wouldn't the breakfast burrito come with something on the side? Why is the signature breakfast only toast and eggs, charging $6 for the addition of bacon? Maybe this is the Australian way, but crikey, for the cost per dish please give me a side. Two Hands is a GOOD spot with the potential to be off-the-charts great. And I will keep on coming back 'til that day comes. read more

Just had the worst dining experience of my life at Two Hands at The Factory in Franklin. I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to warn you, the unsuspecting public. First time there. Started out fine. Nice waitress. Then my coffee arrived lukewarm. No big deal, she brought a new one that was hot. Unfortunately, this was a portent of things to come. Our table of four waited for almost an hour for our food to arrive. After said time, someone came to our table to inform us the long wait was due to the restaurant being so busy because everyone arrived at once and the delay in service was "an industry thing." An "industry thing?" Since when is a restaurant being busy an excuse for that long of a wait? I mean, don't you WANT your restaurant to be busy? Isn't that what "the industry" is aiming for and shouldn't a restaurant be prepared to get the food to the table in a timely manner? It's as if having a lot of customers was an excuse for bad service. I used to be a waitress - since when is a restaurant being busy "an industry thing?" What an annoying way of explaining the inexcusable lag time. When the food finally arrived the dishes that were supposed to be hot were cold and dried out. Clearly they'd been sitting for a while. Back they went, so now our party of four was not eating together. Next came the 2 desserts along with 4 plates and no utensils. We asked for some forks. They brought 2 spoons. So the four of us are just staring at the desserts for quite some time. Finally, one of our party members got up and walked over to where the guy we had asked for forks was standing. He took the request for forks as an annoyance. A young woman then came to our table with forks explaining they had run out of utensils and it was "an industry thing." Again with the "industry thing." I have never eaten at a restaurant where they ran out of clean forks. Ever. That is not an "industry thing." That is a "poor management thing." This weird, scripted description of what was going on only exacerbated the irritation for making us wait yet AGAIN, this time for clean forks. As we were eating our desserts, the waitress came by to check on how we were doing and asked if we were from CA. Her question was inappropriately pointed and dare I say, insulting, had we been from CA. She asked this as I took a bite of my dessert and felt something strange and proceeded to pull a very long blond hair out of the bite of dessert I had just placed in my mouth. By the way, it wasn't mine, I'm a brunette. It was so long - it just kept coming and coming. It would have almost been comical if it hadn't been so truly disgusting. All this happened right in front of our waitress. I said to her, "Oh my God - look at this hair that was in my dessert!!" as I held it up for her to see. She had 0 reaction, which was bizarre - I mean when I was a waitress, if I saw one of my customers pull a long hair out of their mouth from the food I had just served them, I would have acknowledged how awful that was and apologized immediately. But this is the weird part - she didn't. She scampered away, seemingly frightened of what she had just witnessed. Soon thereafter, the assistant general manager appeared. And so began the WORST part of this whole awful experience. Like some sort of AI robot, she began her cheery, scripted, response, devoid of any human understanding of the situation. She gave us her business card and a card punched for a free beverage at our next visit, but no apology, no acknowledgment of the "death by a thousand cuts" we had endured trapped at that Two Hands table. She never once said, "I'm sorry" which would have gone a long way. Our friends were treating us and I told her I wanted her to remove the dessert that had the hair in it from the bill. She said, "Oh!" Taking the hairy dessert off the bill had never even occurred to her. She then said, "Well the bill is already paid for, but I can credit the dessert to your card." That I had to ask her to do this was just wrong. Then using her thumb and index finger, she picked the hair that had been in my mouth up off the table. I sure hope she washed her hands after doing that. Everything leading up to this was upsetting, but the way she handled the situation was the worst thing of all. Her attempt at professionalism was so robotic and scripted and her completely disconnected affect was so profoundly disturbing, I am still bothered, hours later. There was no there there. At the end of the day, it wasn't the mistakes that were made (over and over) it was the strange, inhuman way the staff handled it all. It literally felt like we were interacting with AI robots. I would have preferred it if we WERE interacting with AI robots. At least they would have been PROGRAMMED to interact with an empathetic, natural, HUMAN response. And on top of all this, the food was terrible. In fairness, my dessert WAS good, except for the hair, of course. read more

The food was healthy enough and certainly tasty enough. The problem I had was with the service. There's always a problem trying to park here.But i'm used to that. I started by trying to order one of their specialty fruit juices and inquired to be sure that there was no sugar added, which I was assured of. A few minutes later, the waitress came back to tell me they no longer make that. So I opted instead for an iced latte, but inquired about the alternative sugars.They may have, which were very limited to raw sugar or equal. I still ordered it and went to my car to grab some substitute sugar to add to the drink myself. When the drink arrived, it was tasty and I asked if they had added chocolate and the waitress said no. Of course.I never expected sugar because of my conversations about alternatives and specifically asking about no sugar drinks. Instead, the bill came, and there was an extra charge for vanilla syrup, which blew me away. I'm a diabetic.I purposefully ask about what sweeteners are in drinks and the waitress either.Didn't know or misspoke terribly. When I saw it on the check, I inquired, and she said, oops, my mistake, sorry. That was it. No offers to replace it.No offers to credit it.And worst of all.I wound up drinking the equivalent of a milkshake. How can I trust this place again? read more

When our server finally came, we ordered our drinks and before we could say we were ready to order food too since we waited so long, she fled. So our drinks finally came out, but we also ordered water and that never came. We couldn't find our server anywhere so we flagged down another server. He said he could get us water and he also ended up taking our order. Our food took some time. And when it came out, we still had not gotten our water. The second server came back and notice, so he quickly grabbed it finally. The food was decent but definitely not worth the price. A touch of Australia just hit Franklin! Located in the Factory is a wonderful casual restaurant with an Aussie twist. The first thing that I noticed was that everyone that worked there were fabulous! Started off with an Old Fashioned, which was good, but not by Franklin standards. On to the appetizers, we got burrata with roti, very good! Corn and Jalapeño fritters, very good but I would like to have a little bit more spicy heat to them. Then the crispy Brussels sprouts, well if you follow me you know they are not my Jam. Everyone at the table loved them. On to the Mains, I got the steak au poivre and it was very good, tender and flavorful and the fries are awesome! We also got the pesto cabatelli, very good, not your traditional pasta dish. It had macadamia nut pesto, with sourdough crumbs, Parmesan with a hint of lemon! We also got the rod & reel market fish, which was Trout. It included vegetables. Our friend said it was delicious. And our other friend got the two handed burger, he did not share and cleaned his plate! On to dessert... well this was the highlight of the meal! We ordered the Coconut and Key Lime Pavlova!!!!
