I went here for dinner with a colleague. Was same night of the local festival. We were able to get in before the post concert rush. The place is gorgeous. On the quieter side which made it easy to have a discussion. The bourbon selection is very large. I was impressed. The waitstaff was attentive and chatty. We talked about the restaurant and the festival. My friend went healthy and loved his salmon. I decided to try the bison for the first time. Wow, it was tasty. Cooked just right at Medium. The asparagus was done just right. Overall very nice place for a date or taking clients out.

We had a wonderful experience dinning in. We arrived right as they opened and were sat quickly with no reservation. The dinning room is beautiful modern with leather and gorgeous moody wallpaper. The woodwork in the dinning room is honestly high craftsmanship. The apps were wonderful and hearty. The rigatoni was a perfect balance of sauce and beef ragu, and a great way to prepare for dinner. We all ordered a range of dishes from chicken to steaks and salads. And honestly the beef Wellington was the most stunning dish. The pastry was fluffy and crispy, a nice touch to the greens baked within. && the steak was a most perfect medium temp and flavor. It was beautiful. The star dish of the evening! The smoked chicken was a great decision either way a nice smoky flavor that wasn't overpowering. Beautifully plated. This restaurant and bar is onsite at the Harpeth Hotel and it's a great place to pop in. They are open to non- guests as well so a great dinner option. All dishes were wonderful and worth stopping in.

We had reservations but the bar looked inviting so we sat there. The bar staff did such an amazing job with the high volume of drink orders. Our Manhattans were perfectly crafted thanks to Ashley. We started with the oysters. The smoked onion mignonette was a fantastic blend of the sweetness of the onion with the smoke plus acid of the vinegar. It was so rich I could have eaten it on a piece of bread. Our 2nd course was the burrata and beet salad. The burrata was not the traditional round offering with soft center but more of a soft mozzarella. The beets were perfectly cooked. They were slightly overdressed but still delicious. I had the scallops over mushroom risotto. I love it when my scallops are perfectly seared with soft and light centers. The chef hit the mark. Risotto was creamy and tasteful. My husband had the lamb shank and creamy polenta. He didn't speak very much and he did share a bite. It was rich and tender. The polenta was soft and drizzled with a lamb jus and decadent. Speaking of decadent - we shared the sticky toffee pudding. Yum!!! We will definitely back and I think you should too!

We ate here tonight to celebrate our anniversary. This is located in The Harpeth hotel and is a hidden gem. This place is amazing! The service was top notch. Food was amazing! We shared the fondue plate, and then ordered the Bison Strip and Rainbow Trout and shared the potatoes au gratin. Restaurant is well decorated and quiet.

Ambiance good for a girl's night out, special dinner with a partner and family. I loved the table bread, drink and dessert with my least being my main course, the pork ribeye. Nothing bad about it, but it didn't super wow me. Our waitress was great and attentive.

The food, amazing. The service, incredible! We had the bison and lamb porterhouse. Great whiskey list. And don't skip on the grain bread! Espressos and carrot cake was the perfect ending to our night.

Allegedly gnocchi but I'm not convinced

Service was great, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to make up for the travesty of cooking we experienced. For starters we got the Brussels and the Pork Belly. The Pork Belly came out room temperature, far too sweet, and the Gouda polenta was cold. The Brussels were soaked in sugar, basically soggy without any earthiness or flavor from the sprout left. The Bison I order for a main was fine, but the gnocchi my wife ordered were possibly the worst gnocchi I've ever tasted in my life, They were like flavorless, tough, overcooked cubes of potato-based culinary despair. As someone who makes gnocchi regularly it's not that hard, but if you pride yourself on making in-house pasta do it right. Off-the-shelf Kroger gnocchi would've been an improvement. Our waitress was again very accommodating but man, that should never leave the kitchen again.

Had dinner with a friend in Franklin. What a beautiful building and restaurant. The bar was great as well. Dinner was in the private booths with curtains which made for a cozy and quiet experience. Server was attentive and very nice. Drinks were great but a little slow. The Brussels were solid but not my favorite I've had. We ate from the seasonal menu with the Beef Wellington. Very delicious. Dessert was the Kentucky Butter Cake and Espresso Martini. Can't go wrong. Every seasoned well and cooked. Would return.

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience--we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

As closing time approached, things understandably felt a bit more hurried, but we still appreciated the atmosphere and the quality of the drinks. A nice spot for a casual nightcap, just plan to arrive a little earlier than closing. They were turning several groups away around 8:30+ on a Monday night, but it's Franklin, not Nashville - things wrap up early here.

He enjoyed it but thought it was too much bread. He prefers when they pull some of the bread out. It had debris and that's probably why he gave them a 4. We shared a side of red beans & rice. He thought the flavors were nice. I did not. It was like playing a game of find the beans. It was overly spicy and resembled a sausage soup. I've never had soupy red beans & rice (that barely had any beans) before so I wasn't a fan. Son got the alligator and fried green tomatoes. He really liked the sandwich. It looked like it had a nice amount of gator in it. The fried green tomatoes were overly spiced (come on not everything in Cajun food is a heat bomb - I'm from New Orleans so I know my Cajun food). Having said that - the tomatoes were done right. Not greasy and the crisp was good. Me - burger and this was where things went sideways and they lost a star. I have food allergies. I very carefully pick places where I can eat and make sure to stress what I cannot have. It's nothing crazy. Seafood, dairy, eggs.... so I chose the burger with no cheese. I don't like pickles or onions so asked those be removed as well. It comes out, no cheese. Yay! But it had so many pickles in it! I spent a good amount of time deconstructing it. Then there was the meat to bread ratio. 1/3 of the sandwich was just bread. I wasn't a fan of how they placed the burger on it. I thought it was a good idea to make a burger po'boy but the burger should have been placed differently or something. So between the "find the beans" soup and the mostly bread burger? I had to give them 3 stars. Ambiance - typical mall restaurant. Service - solid 4 star.

This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.

Very nice restaurant!…read more We had reservations at 7:45, checked in early and were seated on arrival. Upon entering the restaurant it seemed swamped but the staff was well prepared for the guests. Our server, was amazing! (I'm ashamed we didn't remember his name, Paul maybe). Nonetheless, he knew the menu, the specials, the drinks, and suggestions! We loved each and everyone of the suggestions and choices we made. Our dining experience started with the signature old fashion followed by a bottle of Heitz Cellars Cabernet! We ordered the lamb and brisket buns. Both were savory, delicious and well prepared. Followed by their Sushi Roll. It was described as "if you love sushi, you've never had anything like this." (I've had a ton of Sushi all over the world, and this was a spectacular Hamachi Roll.) we rounded out our meal with the Butternut Burrata and bread basket and a Beef Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and able to be cut with a fork. (I am salivating thinking about how perfectly it was prepared.) Just when we thought it couldn't be any better our server suggested we look at the dessert menu. He tempted me with a blood orange sorbet followed by a peanut butter chocolate pie. AMAZING! The fun thing was, I consumed the Heitz Cabernet throughout my entire meal - all the way through dessert. My high remarks to the chef and the staff because this team knows how to please and perform flawlessly!
