The picture speaks for itself. Had both the apple and white sangria and preferred the apple but that is personal preference. Both were very tasty. Service Quick, attentive. There was a slight attention to detail issue, got our table mixed up with someone else's, but this was rectified immediately. Ambiance Really like how cool the inside was on a warm summer day. We stopped into vintage vine 100 on a Tuesday night before trivia at neighbors of Franklin. The bar was mildly busy at vintage vine and there were a few people sitting on a couch, so it was surprising when the bartender and staff claimed they did not see us when I went to ask if we needed to order from them at the bar. We had appetizers that were $14 on happy hour - 2 orders of 2 meatballs, 2 slices of bruschetta, and an order of spinach and artichoke dip - all $14 each which felt steep for happy hour on some basic dishes. We each had one drink and our bill was over $80...it was a fine experience, but be prepared to spend a decent amount. read more

Came by on a Sunday afternoon to try the new brunch menu. It was beautifully presented and the food was superb! The eggs were so fluffy and the skillet potatoes were perfectly crisp. I especially love that I could get a wine flight and try a few wines at once. The bartenders and servers were so friendly and helped me choose the best flight to pair with my meal. My first error was ordering a cocktail at a wine bar - should have stuck with wine. My friends who ordered wine and sangria were pleased but the two of us that ordered cocktails were gravely disappointed. The inside/downstairs ambiance is super cute and while the rooftop was kind of cool, it doesn't quite live up to the experience given the limited views, lack of ambient lighting, being surrounded by construction and buildings. On a Friday night, went up to the bar to order a drink and was told I needed to pick a table and chairs to sit down and then I will be served. Went to sit at the chairs outside, and was then told to please move the chair out of the way so the server can pass through (even though we simply sat where the chairs were already situated). It was very unwelcoming and I felt as if they just did not want customers inside. Why have a bar with chairs if you can't order a drink and sit down? Also please note you cannot sit anywhere on the green, and must stay in their patio area right beside the building. No ambiance at all. Servers were very unwelcoming. read more

This is definitely going to be a very popular wine bar, and with good reason. They just opened in the last week or so, and so you do need to be a little patient with things not being as smooth as they surely will be soon, and because they are a little understaffed at the moment. The space is beautiful, with a variety of seating including at the bar, various tables, a couple cute little booths, and outdoor seating both on the patio and on the rooftop. They have a good wine list, with a variety of flights available if you want to do some sampling. They also have some good bourbons and whiskeys to choose from, including a few flights of different varieties. They also have a reasonably good beer list, which I'm hoping will improve over time. While this is a wine bar first and foremost, they actually have some good food options. The menu is limited at the moment, but it already includes some good plates. The Buffalo Chicken Dip is delicious! The Caprese Skewers are also good, with interesting pipettes of balsamic glaze. These are little containers filled with balsamic vinegar glaze that they insert into the mozzarella balls, and which can then be removed to squeeze the glaze over the skewer. As they work out the challenges of first opening a wine bar and restaurant, I'm confident this will be a very popular spot. It is definitely worth checking out, sampling some of their wine and other drinks, and having a yummy snack as well. And they've opened just in time for some great summer weather! read more

Worthy of multiple visits but, who knew it actually had name? The sign just says WINE BAR. Huh. No matter. I came for the wine flights and small plates. East of North Italia, it's the little glass box nestled in next to the Green on Aspen Grove Drive. Beer and quite a few whiskey brands are also served, so why didn't they get their own big signs, too? Each spirit does get it's own menu, though. I guess that's fair. Small plates, appetizers, sammies, and medium plates are listed on the food menu intended to support the needs of a potential tableful of spirited glassware. Size also matters. Though there are small and large tables inside, outside, and even topside on the roof, it's still a relatively small shop. Couples seemed to be seated more readily than groups. Yet we only saw a single two-seat table up top, so where you wish to sit will factor into any wait time. read more

Was a perfect evening for dining on a patio & Vintage just happens to have an excellent rooftop for that Very purpose. Finally able to open this past Thursday, the staff were all very eager to welcome us & very eager in service, if they can keep this up they'll assure much success. The menu options were limited (to perhaps half what is listed on the website) but knowing how recent their opening was we did not mind this at all, though it will mean most are dining on snacks/apps (rather than making a dinner of it) until the kitchen is able to expand it. We found the presentation of Flights a wonderful way to sample several wines at once & were pleased that the pricing was reasonable, you can of course also order by the glass or bottle if you have specific desires. They also offer flights of Bourbon & a seemingly wide variety of these as well as beer. We're very happy to have Vintage in our midst as another excellent dining option & look forward to more perfect patio evenings on the rooftop. read more

Was not impressed with the food, but again this is a wine bar. May be great to do some wine flights with specific cheese pairing boards. I am so disappointed with my experience at Vintage Vine tonight. Although I have been there several times and really enjoyed the wine and food, I will not return. My friends and I met there for an early dinner and wine. Due to a bourbon tasting, we were seated in the back booth area. We were enjoying our first glass of wine when a very rude male employee interrupted our conversation to ask us to be quiet as we were disturbing the bourbon tasting. Really??! Then we should have never been seated. How incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. It's a beautiful building in a fantastic location with good food and wine. But if you don't treat customers well, none of that matters. There are many other options in the area. Sorry to say I cannot recommend Vintage Vine. read more

My husband and I dined here on a Sunday night visiting from NY. We were greeted by the owner and discovered that the recipes are all hers and wow!! We ordered two flights of red wines (Easy Drinking Reds and Italian Reds) which were wonderful and the hummus trio and spinach artichoke dip. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious. Outrageous service for a wine bar! Twenty dollars for a glass of mystery wine. No information on the the name of the winery, the origin, poured with their back to me and charged twenty dollars without so much as a taste or view of the label. She did however give me the third degree about where I was sitting when I explained I was simply ordering a drink to stand and sip by the bar. It was obviously a problem for this particular bartender. The wine was poured by the computer, back to me, and I watched the glass sweat as she looked for the wine in her POS, asked for payment and ran my card. The drink sat on the back of the bar for minutes while she made me pay first. Absolutely painful... These servers, with very little training, need to check the pretentious attitude at the door. Service is everything in in upscale food and wine. Show some pride, it's down right disrespectful to your customers to take them for granted. They need to hire someone more mature behind the bar. She does not add value to the brand at all. The place has potential if they could hire and train folks on basic wine etiquette. read more

So I go into this new overpriced wine bar Friday evening at about 845 pm. As I'm standing there waiting to be greeted and served, some drunk blond woman with a glass of wine in her hand turns to look at me. She says, "What do you want." I look at who I presume is an intoxicated bar patron wearing clothes a bit too tight for her fluffy full figure. She then says, "I'm the owner, I can say that." Not at all impressed, I respond, "I would like to have a glass of wine outside on the patio with my dogs," which were laying down outside by a bench. She thanked me for coming and walked away. I'm soon greeted and order and pay $22 for a glass of wine and walk outside. I call my dogs over and they both lay down beside me. A couple of minutes later, this clearly intoxicated woman comes outside and says I need to move my dogs for they are an impediment to her and to her other guests and a violation of the fire code. I looked down to see both of my dogs at least six feet away from the door, and not in direct line of the door. I replied, "My dogs are in no one's way. I think you've had a bit too much to drink this evening." She then reaches to grab the glass of wine out of my hand, saying, "Give me my glass back." I move my arm so she can't grab it and respond, You'll get it back when I'm finished drinking the wine I paid for." She then exclaimed, "I going to go get someone who will take it from you," and turned to yank the door open and went inside. Having only taken a couple of sips of the wine, I drank it all and stuffed the glass down into the bush by the door. As I was picking up the dog leashes a tall black man came outside and told me he was an owner and said I needed to leave. To which I replied, "Your business partner is clearly intoxicated and not a good impression." He replied, She is not drunk, and don't you ever come back." To which I laughed and replied, "Like you needed to waste your breath to tell me this!" The woman evidently doesn't like dogs. She has no manners. She cannot articulate effectively. And she has a drinking problem. I have worked in high-end restaurants and bars all across America for 30 plus years. This is among the worst first impressions I have ever made. With ownership like this, the bad attitude will quickly infect the staff. This is now Franklins overpriced snob central wine bar. read more
