    Apple cobbler

I had to think about this compared to other restaurants where I'm going to spend nearly $200 for a fairly straightforward meal of a side salad, burger, sushi, dessert and drinks. The service was good, although he was a bit pushy trying to encourage some members of our party to buy an overpriced bottle of wine that would only be a $2/glass savings. The cocktails were terribly overpriced and quite small. $20 for a small-ish lemon drop martini. $8 for a beer, so nothing crazy there. Their tap system doesn't work. A plain, but thick and substantial burger was good at $22. The surf and turf sushi tasted nothing like surf and turf, but it was still good and nicely presented. I didn't taste lobster and there seemed to be some shaved filet on top. The side Caesar was good. Desserts were the high point. The apple cobbler was enough to feed 6 people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice place, modern interior, but was nearly empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Perhaps 4 other tables at 6:00 pm on a Sunday night. So the moral of the story, is that at the price point, this is a 2.5 place. What's odd is that the ownership must be so pretentious and counting on the Williamson County location, that there is not a single response to an inordinate number of low scoring reviews, mostly around price and food quality for that level. I didn't hate it, I certainly didn't love it, it was just weird for the price and not worthy of a return visit with so many other choices.

Over all this restaurant was underwhelming. The food was bland and lacked flavor. The service was just ok. However, the chopped salad tasted really good. I was excited to see that they had lobster mac and cheese on the menu, but was extremely disappointed. There was alot of lobster in the Mac and cheese but the flavor just wasn't there. I am not one to add salt and pepper to my food but I had to doctor it up. My cocktail was good. The Rutledge does give an upscale vibe but their prices are reasonable.

A busy Friday night in Cool Springs and we walked into the Rutledge and got seated in seconds. Several tables still open at 6:00, ok there is a reason. Started off with drinks, the Old Fashioned was ok, the ice was clear! For dinner I ordered a Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac & Cheese and a skillet corn bread. The Lobster roll was a little dry and was bland not much flavor, needed some melted butter, the Lobster Mac was creamy and hot but again lacked a cheesy flavor. Service was fine, but the music was a little loud. Probably will not eat here again.

Loved the ambiance at the Rutledge. We came early before wedding dress shopping so there weren't many people yet. Friend ordered the avocado toast and I got French toast. Both were pretty good. Would definitely come back again for breakfast but also want to try their dinner.

They charge a hospitality fee when it's only two people. My pasta was nothing but olive oil.

Good not great. The service was speedy and friendly but the food is super overpriced for nothing special. Wouldn't go back.

3.5 Really good chain restaurant!…read more They have a little bit of everything on the menu, from smash burgers to chicken wings all the way to sushi. I didn't try the sushi this time, but the grilled and fried chicken were both really good. The fried pickles were a great way to kick off the meal, and the BLT salad was amazing too. Will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a casual place to grab a bite, catch the game, or just hang out with friends,…read morethis spot is a great choice! As soon as you walk in, you'll notice there are plenty of seating options. Up front there's a lively bar area along with lots of high-top tables. If you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, grab a seat by the fireplace. On nice days, they open the garage doors, which gives the place a great indoor/outdoor feel. There's also a second bar in the back with several comfortable booths. To drink, I ordered the Drake Margarita, and it was very good. For my entrée, I went with the Buffalo Chicken Minis. You can order either two or three, and of course I went with three! The buns were soft, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and they used just the right amount of buffalo sauce. I added blue cheese for dipping, and wow... sooo good! They also come with your choice of a side, and the Tots were a great pick. We also shared the Rainbow Roll, and I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi here is definitely worth trying! Service was a bit mixed. Our server did a good job, but the bartender was very slow. I didn't receive my Drake Margarita until my Buffalo Chicken Minis had already arrived, which was a little disappointing. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and variety make this a place I'd definitely come back to. If you live in Franklin and haven't checked it out yet, it's worth adding to your list!

The Pond is a self described dive bar located in a strip mall area in Franklin Tennessee…read more I like to patronize places that aren't chains and aren't super popular spots when I travel, as I enjoy being around common folks in areas that I go to. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.
