    Apple cobbler
    Tim O.

I had to think about this compared to other restaurants where I'm going to spend nearly $200 for a fairly straightforward meal of a side salad, burger, sushi, dessert and drinks. The service was good, although he was a bit pushy trying to encourage some members of our party to buy an overpriced bottle of wine that would only be a $2/glass savings. The cocktails were terribly overpriced and quite small. $20 for a small-ish lemon drop martini. $8 for a beer, so nothing crazy there. Their tap system doesn't work. A plain, but thick and substantial burger was good at $22. The surf and turf sushi tasted nothing like surf and turf, but it was still good and nicely presented. I didn't taste lobster and there seemed to be some shaved filet on top. The side Caesar was good. Desserts were the high point. The apple cobbler was enough to feed 6 people. It's a nice place, modern interior, but was nearly empty. Perhaps 4 other tables at 6:00 pm on a Sunday night. So the moral of the story, is that at the price point, this is a 2.5 place. What's odd is that the ownership must be so pretentious and counting on the Williamson County location, that there is not a single response to an inordinate number of low scoring reviews, mostly around price and food quality for that level. I didn't hate it, I certainly didn't love it, it was just weird for the price and not worthy of a return visit with so many other choices.

Over all this restaurant was underwhelming. The food was bland and lacked flavor. The service was just ok. However, the chopped salad tasted really good. I was excited to see that they had lobster mac and cheese on the menu, but was extremely disappointed. There was alot of lobster in the Mac and cheese but the flavor just wasn't there. I am not one to add salt and pepper to my food but I had to doctor it up. My cocktail was good. The Rutledge does give an upscale vibe but their prices are reasonable.

A busy Friday night in Cool Springs and we walked into the Rutledge and got seated in seconds. Several tables still open at 6:00, ok there is a reason. Started off with drinks, the Old Fashioned was ok, the ice was clear! For dinner I ordered a Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac & Cheese and a skillet corn bread. The Lobster roll was a little dry and was bland not much flavor, needed some melted butter, the Lobster Mac was creamy and hot but again lacked a cheesy flavor. Service was fine, but the music was a little loud. Probably will not eat here again.

Meh. Truly not impressed with this place. Three stars to me means "it was alright, but I wouldn't spend my hard earned money here again." It wasn't too busy, but the service was slow. As far as the food goes: Shishito peppers: incredibly overcooked and mushy. Great flavor, though. Shrimp pasta: I could/have made something way better at home. In my opinion, it was an oily, bland mess. Half chicken: my husband liked it, but again, wouldn't pay for it again. For the price, we expected to be wowed. We're truly not picky people, but this was disappointing for a pricier date night. I'll end my review with this: don't avoid a restaurant based on one person's preference! You may have a totally different experience than me. I do appreciate consistency, though. :)

    Prime rib with baked potato

We ate here for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation and they printed out a birthday card which was a nice touch. The prime rib, potato, and blackened mahi mahi tacos were excellent. Probably the best fish tacos I've ever had - the chimichurri sauce on it was so delicious! The only downside was the Brussels sprouts, theirs were probably the worst I've ever had a restaurant and I often order brussel sprouts as they are one of my favorite foods. I would order the tacos again & just pick a different side.

If you're looking for a game, there are plenty of screens here to watch it on. Want a late night? It's the perfect vibe. There's something fun happening every day of the week with a variety of specials (and happy hour). The food is good and the beer is always flowing! But ultimately what keeps me coming back is the people. The service here is top tier. No other bar has made me feel as safe or as welcome as the servers here. This place is a rare gem specifically because of them. Tony's wants to you "meet your friends here," and that's exactly what I've done. If you're looking for an amazing, local bar, Tony's is the place to be.

The other thing I noticed is several of the waitresses sat down at a couple of tables with friends eating there. There were definitely two tables that seemed to know all the waitresses, and those on duty waitresses constantly visited with their friends all through our dinner. Find a better burger place. The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

Between pricing, service concerns, and overall experience, I didn't see enough consistency to justify frequent visits. Twin Peaks is disappointing overall and not somewhere I would recommend for lunch, celebrations, or anyone expecting consistent, professional service. Exterior & First Impression Most locations I've seen have decent curb appeal, but this visit didn't fully meet that expectation. The surrounding area felt somewhat neglected, and the parking lot didn't leave a strong first impression. Atmosphere Inside, the restaurant smelled strongly of stale beer and smoke and was extremely loud, with no real effort to manage volume, making conversation difficult. The overall atmosphere felt geared toward a very specific crowd and came across as dated rather than broadly welcoming. Food Food was average. Some items were fine, but overall the menu leans heavy, fried, and doesn't feel aligned with the price point or the wait times. Nutritionally, there are limited lighter options, which makes it less appealing for repeat visits. Service Service was the biggest issue. It was slow, disorganized, and poorly communicated. Even when it didn't appear busy, we waited a long time with little to no updates and had to follow up multiple times just to get basic information. Orders can take a long time, so if your are on lunch and in a hurry- go elsewhere. Some staff were polite, but the experience felt inconsistent and transactional, with noticeable differences in attentiveness throughout the restaurant. Management When concerns were raised, management felt dismissive and unresponsive, with little effort to resolve issues in the moment. Stronger focus on communication, empathy, and service recovery would significantly improve the experience. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and not well managed. Between long waits, a loud environment, pricing concerns, and lack of responsiveness, it doesn't feel like a place I would choose to return to regularly. We left frustrated and wouldn't come back. Bottom Line The only positives were comfortable seating and a few decent menu items, but it didn't come close to outweighing the negatives. If you're comfortable with the concept and just want a place to watch sports, it may work. However, for consistent service, fair value, and a more balanced dining experience, there are better options.
