Happy hour margarita and draft beer with the Award Winning Cheese Dip
    Ashley L.

I think about this bar and their atmosphere weekly!! The staff are SO friendly, and the food is so much better than I ever expected from "bar food". There's live music and a DJ throughout the afternoon/evening hours, but the true star of the show is getting there sometime between 2-7 for their happy hour! I recommend grabbing a happy hour margarita, a cheese dip to start with, and then any of the quesadillas are amazing!! My partner really likes to get the wings, and the bartenders told us to get it "James way" which is a special spice rub and hot sauce.

We were in town visiting and the Huskers were playing. We found this Husker bar to enjoy the game. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone was so welcoming, food was good bar food (able to accommodate food allergies), excellent wait staff and a fabulous sports bar atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We met mostly locals who gave us so many tips/ideas on hiking, what to see in the area and where to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are also games such as Jenga, Bags, ping pong and more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is a great place for locals and visitors alike. We truly had a great time!

Best bartender and GM! Making great drinks!

My favorite place to ever go to. Best food, best service, best atmosphere!! I have been coming here for years and I would highly recommend!

Big TinRoof2 guy. Ive been here quite a bit and so far all of their food we've tried has been delicious. The absolute best quesadillas south of the Mason-Dixon.

Awful quality food. So many better options in the area for burgers and bar food. Don't waste your time with this place.

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

Location is on historic Main Street, easy to find and public parking is around the corner. Prompt and very friendly service. Don't have to wait on your drinks--and I recommend the cocktails. The perfectionist, which is bourbon based, is well balanced and refreshing without being heavy. The red beans and rice remain excellent, spicy in taste not just heat. You can add whichever hot sauce you prefer. I really liked the catfish filet that came with it--crunchy just right. My partner got a standby--shrimp and grits, with fresh shrimp the real standout. Totally relaxed, casual. Everyone enjoying themselves in a historic space. Great back bar by the way.

Seats are set up in rows by the stage theater-style and then they have food from Puckett's Grocery available for sale on a side area of the hall with tables and seating. There is also a cash bar which you can purchase beer, wine or mixed drinks. Upon arrival, they have a table setup to get you checked in if you have reserved tickets ($15) or if you are buying door tickets ($10). Considering that there are several artists for each show this is an amazing deal. We had reserved tickets which was nice to not have to worry about seating as our names were already on our seats. The show has co-hosts who will begin the show with a bit of banter and dialogue. In between acts they will interview the artists and allow them to answer several questions. The artists were selling some of their merchandise in the back of the hall as well so you had time to check that out. When we came the artists included Sunny Sweeney, the Rev. Peyton's Band and the Blackfoot Gypsies. If even one of these artists did a solo show they could have easily charged that amount alone. I was amazed that I was able to see Sunny here as she has done shows at the Grand Ole Opry before. She was absolutely incredible! For an appetizer, I kicked things off with 10 "Almost Famous" Wings. Let me just say this clearly: the Nash-Hot wings are the BEST in Franklin. Crispy, flavorful, and bringing just enough heat to remind you that you're alive without requiring a fire extinguisher. For lunch, I went with a classic Irish go-to, the Fish & Chips.
