Plantation pub is my go to place for Sunday football. Been coming here for 2 years. Don't know what's going on, but the last 2 times I've been here the service is terrible. No greeting when we sit down. Have to wait a bit for anyone to acknowledge us. The service has completely gone down hill. Not even busy inside and having to wait so long to get a drink. When customers are having to get up and get their own plates and silverware and also having to go to the bar to get drinks because the waitresses aren't coming around enough. Lots of new faces. We miss seeing the owner and his family. To be honest, not sure if we will be returning. The vibe just isn't the same. read more

The positives: large, outdoor seating area; dog friendly - including multiple bowls for water; a "healthy" pour on the shot. The disappointments: service, portion size. Service is a huge pet-peeve. I'm able to overlook a lot when the server is engaged (with guests v. co-workers) and attentive. Things started poorly when the non-alcoholic drinks took an unreasonable amount of time (without explanation) as compared to the perception of the level of business (very slow). Aggravating was being provided an empty condiment container. Disappointing was the size of the "large" salad @ $12. The amount of chicken was reasonable - and had good flavor - yet the size of the bowl v. the overall volume did not provide a favorable impression. Favorable was the size of the pour on the requested shot in addition to my partner's sandwich and fry combo. Appealing to the "service-oriented" part of me was noting another server checking on tables (ours) that were not hers. Overall we would potentially try PP again, but probably not. After living 5 minutes down the street for two years, I finally decided to give Plantation Pub a try. It exceeded expectations. I went for a causal date night with my boyfriend to watch sports. We sat at the bar and immediately were served. Our waiter was friendly and gave us great advice for what to order. His picks were amazing- I totally recommend the brisket sandwich. They also have great happy hour deals, so it's not expensive. Will definitely be going back, especially during college football season to watch some games! read more

Bellevue is lacking in the cool neighborhood bar area, but Plantation Pub is a decent option of a hangout sports bar. I had worn out Jonathan's and was looking for a new spot when my friend suggested coming here. I've been here a couple times so far and I do enjoy their Trivia Tuesday. The first-place team gets a $50 gift certificate, second-place $30 and third place $10. There are 4 rounds and it goes from 7 pm- 9 pm. It is something fun to do in a part of town that is quiet and sleepy. Beer selection is pretty good for a small pub. I like that they have Sierra Nevada which is my go-to craft beer from California. The food menu has a good selection. Prices are affordable but in my opinion they need to charge less for some of their appetizers. $6.95 for queso?? How dare they overcharge for my cheese dip! (also it was just meh, I would not recommend for that price) My friends got the potato skins ($6.95), my boyfriend got the buffalo burger ($9.25) and subbed the chips for fries and I also got a house salad ($4.95). My boyfriend did enjoy the burger and I thought the salad was fine. Nothing blew me away and the few fries I ate seemed like they needed salt/seasoning. Service is great! They have an awesome, renovated patio that my wife and I love stopping by to watch a game or enjoy an afternoon. And it's dog friendly which is a huge plus for us. I have been in the Plantation Pub twice now. The first was to get a beer and the second to grab some dinner with my wife. How to rate this place? I am going to go for 3 stars, which means average. But, it really depends on what you are looking for to whether or not the Plantation Pub is your cup of tea. I will cover a few of the bases and you can make the decision yourself. As a Sports bar, I would rank it on the high side of 3 if not a 4. I can't say 5, as it is a bit too bright in there, but the speakers throughout the room make it so you can hear the featured game. As with it's predecessor, Three Stones Pub, everything is hard surfaced, so it gets loud and full of echos. Multiple speakers help you hear the commentary no matter where you sit. On the negative side, it is harder to have a conversation, as you can't easily escape the noise, except on the patio, which is smoking. (Can anyone in Bellevue have a non-smoking patio as well - one not on the sidewalk proper (ala Brewhouse 100)?) Bar? Finally liquor in a place in River Plantation (I am sure some natives are hopping mad at this one). And they have a craft beer selection, which is nice, although there are pubs in Bellevue that rotate more often (Publicity) or have much larger selections (Brewhouse 100). Since they have extended the bar seating beyond what Three Stones had, there is actually enough seating for the crowd. Kudos guys. I would still say about a 3 in this area. Food? Pretty average. Taste wise, I would say 4 on what I had, but the kitchen is not running as well as they should, so about a 2 on this side. This puts them about average. Both of our meals were overcooked a bit. But, since it was only a bit, it was passable. Nice enough flavors, as well. Mostly standard pub fare, with BBQ as a little extra. I tried the chicken dinner, which was slightly dry, but had nicely caramelized onions with mushrooms and Swiss cheese. Really liked the seasoning blend they used. My wife's burger was also a bit dry, but flavorful. And the bun had a wonderful flavor. If they can get the kitchen down a bit better, it will work. Service? Three Stones was a miss and Plantation Pub is still off, at least from our visit. It may be they don't have their schedule figured out yet, but they were woefully understaffed and it took about 45 minutes from ordering to get food, so timing is off throughout the restaurant. I will not return if I am in a hurry, but I am willing to go back to try the biscuits. Pricing? I would say around 4. Lower than most in Bellevue, except fast food, with decent enough portions. Overall? I have to go down the middle. None of the pluses overwhelm the negatives or vice versa. Will have to see what they can become as they find their groove. I will likely return for a beer at some point in time. I will wait awhile to try the food again, although the steak biscuits (already mentioned) are on my list. read more

Cool little place just opened in Bellevue. Used to be something else but I dont know what. Its all new inside and has decent pub food and good beer selection. Reasonably priced. Lots of TVs and. Very accomodating to the clientele to make sure the football game you want to watch is on the closest TV to your table. They have NFL Sunday Ticket so I can watch my Kansas City Chiefs here in Nashville - even if the Titans are playing. Haha read more

The beer is ice cold snd these folks can make a tasty "skinny" margarita. Avery was our waitress and she's a natural in the food biz. Came here with the wife on a Sunday around 1pm. Wanted to avoid the church crowd and waiting that comes with it. It was 94 degrees outside so we sat inside next to the window. Our server greeted us politely in a timely manner. They had quite a selection of beers and had a 2 for 1 on domestic drafts. The menu was just the right size and we ordered different dishes to get a good mix of flavors. I got the steak biscuit plate, the wife got the brisket platter. We were both really pleased with the speed of the food and the quality. The steak biscuits were big juicy cuts of medium-well. It came with an au-jus dipping sauce that complemented the flavors of the steak biscuit. The brisket dish was very good sized helping of a deep smoky flavor. It came with a type of slightly sweet corn cake that some folks enjoy, me not as much. Everyone inside was pleasant and cheerful, music was good with lots of televisions played my live sports. We've come here quite a few times in the last several weeks since whenever we watch the Predators playoff games at home they lose. The hubs and I really enjoy it. His favorites on the menu are the steak biscuits, the brisket and the grilled shrimp (but with extra seasoning or buffalo style). Mine are buffalo chicken sliders, the cheeseburger, buffalo shrimp and fried catfish. IMHO the nachos were quite meh, but other than that , we've been happy with what we've ordered. Nine times out of ten we have GREAT service. Kyle is our favorite. He's attentive without hovering and he remembered our drink orders after our first time in his section. He also makes a point to say hello even if he's not the one serving us. The beer selection is substantial enough that most beer drinkers will be able to find one that appeals to them. On tap they offer everything from the NASCAR beers (Muller Lite, Bud Lite, Coors Lite, Michelob Ultra, etc.) to Stella, Guiness, to local craft brews from Yee Haw and Yazoo. I can't testify to their bottled beers or mixed drinks b/c I've never paid attention to them. Here we sit with 14 minutes left in the third period of game three (waiting while the catfish is cleared from the ice) not getting the hairy eyeball for camping even though we've been done eating for a while and are now nursing our beers. read more
