$12 chicken salad
Kim W.

The positives: large, outdoor seating area; dog friendly - including multiple bowls for water; a "healthy" pour on the shot. The disappointments: service, portion size. Service is a huge pet-peeve. I'm able to overlook a lot when the server is engaged (with guests v. co-workers) and attentive. Things started poorly when the non-alcoholic drinks took an unreasonable amount of time (without explanation) as compared to the perception of the level of business (very slow). Aggravating was being provided an empty condiment container. Disappointing was the size of the "large" salad @ $12. The amount of chicken was reasonable - and had good flavor - yet the size of the bowl v. the overall volume did not provide a favorable impression. Favorable was the size of the pour on the requested shot in addition to my partner's sandwich and fry combo. Appealing to the "service-oriented" part of me was noting another server checking on tables (ours) that were not hers. Overall we would potentially try PP again, but probably not. There's just too many options providing outdoor seating, that allow hounds, have great food, and attentive servers.

Trivia Tuesday
Maddie H.

Bellevue is lacking in the cool neighborhood bar area, but Plantation Pub is a decent option of a hangout sports bar. I had worn out Jonathan's and was looking for a new spot when my friend suggested coming here. I've been here a couple times so far and I do enjoy their Trivia Tuesday. The first-place team gets a $50 gift certificate, second-place $30 and third place $10. There are 4 rounds and it goes from 7 pm- 9 pm. It is something fun to do in a part of town that is quiet and sleepy. Beer selection is pretty good for a small pub. I like that they have Sierra Nevada which is my go-to craft beer from California. The food menu has a good selection. Prices are affordable but in my opinion they need to charge less for some of their appetizers. $6.95 for queso?? How dare they overcharge for my cheese dip! (also it was just meh, I would not recommend for that price) My friends got the potato skins ($6.95), my boyfriend got the buffalo burger ($9.25) and subbed the chips for fries and I also got a house salad ($4.95). My boyfriend did enjoy the burger and I thought the salad was fine. Nothing blew me away and the few fries I ate seemed like they needed salt/seasoning. Service is great! I really like the servers we've gotten and that has never been an issue. Overall, P-Pub is a casual good spot and I would recommend it for a few drinks and to play trivia.

I think that plantation pub has its place in the world- Like if you're looking for an outdoor patio that serves alcohol for A first date this is a perfect place for that- Now I wouldn't order the pizza ever again not even for a million dollars. I had a pizza with green peppers and hamburger. Tasted like someone pulled the hamburger out from the freezer and sort of de thawed it - three days ago. Nasty! Inside is super hot ac sucks and frankly the service is not great- people are rushing around etc. But if you're looking for a beer and you don't care how long it takes to get to you- perfect place for you

Players offers all the standards of a local dive including pool tables, darts, arcade games, cold beer, smell of smoke, live music, sassy bartenders and surprisingly good pizza. Players is sort of hidden away from the main eye of folks in Bellevue and is located a block off of Highway 70 on Old Harding Road. It sits in an old shopping plaza with a few other local spots. Parking is plentiful, but can get tricky when the night gets late and the folks of Bellevue get thirsty! I will say that this spot is not for everyone, but I did enjoy seeing the variety of folks around the bar and on the pool tables. If you are looking for a chill local dive, then Players has you covered. Service was decent, they seem to be a little sassier with the new comers, but what local bar isn't? The pool tables are in good shape and they have live music and trivia through out the week. My only other gripes are the smoke smell and single person bathrooms. They have the outdoors enclosed right now and it leads right into the main area, but hopefully in the better weather months this will be less of an issue. Overall, Players is a decent spot. I have a feeling that we will be coming here more for carry out pizza than pool, but whatever works!

We were surprised to have 2 beers show up when we went on a Friday, not knowing they have a 2 for 1…read morespecial so that was a pleasant surprise. The bar/restaurant is a bit loud but a great place to mingle. Food is not the best all just missing some flavor but fine for just hanging out and grabbing something. The spinach dip needed some cream cheese it was very watery and not great. Mozzarella sticks needed some seasoning or something in breading. The fettuccine was very chicken stock flavor vs Parmesan. Food prices a bit high for being very plain. Services was great, our waitress was very attentive and on top of it!

My father and I have been regular customers at the Bellevue location of Jonathan's Grille for over…read moreeleven (11) years. Over the past year, management implemented a fee--initially referred to as a "convenience fee," now labeled a "hospitality fee"--without proper notice or clear communication to patrons. This change was introduced quietly, without being listed on the menu or verbally mentioned by the waitstaff. The fee only appears on the check after the drinks and meal have been served and completed. While the amount is relatively small at approximately 3%--typically around $0.50 to $0.75 per person--the issue is not the cost itself, but the lack of transparency, respect, and ethical consideration. Management has provided several excuses for the fee that have zero regard for ethics, but the bottom line is that the decision to apply it without disclosure is deceptive. In my view, it reflects a complete disregard for customer trust and loyalty. I have never encountered a similar practice at any other restaurant or chain in my lifetime. I am disappointed, I feel insulted, and above all, I feel disrespected. Because of this unethical turn, I will not buy any more gift cards or return to Jonathan's for the remainder of the year and probably longer. I strongly encourage others to support businesses that operate with honesty and integrity. Many excellent restaurant/bar alternatives exist in the Greater Nashville Area that treat their customers with the respect they deserve.
