We walked into The Lost Paddy and were greeted with friendly smiles and playful banter. There's an extensive menu so all four of us were able to find something to satisfy our bellies. And with a full bar, we were able to order anything from draft beers to mixed drinks. The food portions were large. I ordered a beer and a grilled chicken sandwich that came with fries. Total was just $22. One friend ordered a bacon cheeseburger. And another friend had trouble finishing his club sandwich because it was so big. Found them on yelp and were starving when we landed so we found a place close by. Their menu looked decent although there were a few mixed reviews. If you are a football (soccer) fan, this is your place. Passionate crowd cheers for their favorite team. Manchester is really the only team you should route for. Order food at the bar, then it's brought to your table. Lots of high top tables. I've tried a few things here. The Reuben is my go to. Always tender meat on the sandwich. We rolled in here after walking over a mile in muggy hot weather - we were more than ready for some liquid relief and ready for some food as well. The Last Paddy was a welcome respite! We experimented with a few of the featured drinks on the tent cards on the tables and to be honest, they were all good. For food, I had the corned beef on rye... and no complaints whatsoever. The corned beef was sliced paper thin, which was a welcome surprise... many corned beef sandwiches I've had in the past were thicker slices for whatever reason. I do prefer the thin slices. The bar itself had an interesting layout... two sides that were roughly mirror images of each other - big screen TVs on each side, surrounded by smaller TVs. In this case, the same soccer game was playing on each end of the room, but I can see the layout working well when two different games are available at the same time. The Fish 'n Chips were outstanding on one occasion: Fresh, crispy tasty cod dipped in tempura batter and fried. On the second occasion, the fish seemed 'off' albeit a bit slimy, because I couldn't cut it with a knife. It comes with 2 cod pieces, fries, tartar sauce and a lemon wedge. Ask for extra tartar and lemons. They also include a packet of malt vinegar. The first time the cod was 2 large pieces; second time 2 substantially smaller pieces. So here I see a tendency for inconsistency. The Reuben sandwich comes with shaved house-made corned beef, with sauerkraut, thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese, on a marbled rye bread, accompanied with French fries. This was tasty corned beef. I enjoyed the Reuben sandwich. The flavors of the sandwich blended to a decidedly mild taste, rather than strong corned beef. The thousand island dressing, also house-made, was exceptional. Both of my orders were Door Dashed to a hotel. Paddy's is kind to include wrapped utensils along with plenty of large white napkins. This is always a nice touch when it's being DD'ed because many restaurants don't do this without asking in the pre-order. They don't ask and they do it! So my guess is this is the kind of place that's best when you go in and sit, while tipping back an Irish pint. read more

They have the best fish and chips that I've ever had. I've worked a fair amount in the UK (admittedly, never in Ireland), and I've had my share of pub food. Theirs is a cut above! Great atmosphere. The live music is really nice. They have musicians who regularly perform mixes of covers and originals. There's no cover charge, and the volume is just right if you want to listen or have a conversation. My husband and I rolled through during one of the worst weeks of our lives, and the sweet bartender, Heather, actually brought us a couple of free shots to pick up our spirits. We were so grateful to have found this place! My only complaint is that their webpage should list the days and times they serve Irish breakfast. They weren't serving it the morning that we came by. For dinner, we decided to venture out away from the downtown area to find a spot locals might visit. This place is quite big with plenty of seating, TVs, and a stage. There were a couple of guys playing at the time of our visit. The bartender was friendly and instructed us to come to the bar to order. I went with a Smithwick's to start and the wings & chips. It was not crowded at all for a Monday night. We found a back corner booth to sit. Our food soon found us shortly after. There were plenty of fries and the wings were on point. For my second round, I went with the Bearded Iris Homestyle IPA. For my final round, I went with a Carlsberg. After finding a nice buzz, it was time to roll out. The quiet 2-hour lunch belies a raucous environment during karaoke nights, live music, and soccer parties. It's the official local bar for two Premier League soccer teams including Manchester United and Liverpool's Everton F.C., not to mention a great venue for watching Nashville F.C. with a group of fans. The space once housed Dad's Lounge, but Dublin native Micheál O'Leary arrived in Music City in late 2018 - via Los Angeles - and took over the vacant space in mid-2019. While the entertainment level is evident, we went for lunch to assess the cuisine. While classic '90s music videos played on a large television and over the speakers, I enjoyed the new menu addition Smokehouse Burger. It was excellently presented and so flavorful with applewood-smoked bacon, a beautiful Irish cheddar, and truffle aioli. The onion straws on the burger get soggy, but everything else was on point! A couple of side dishes not to be missed are the Irish mac 'n' cheese with large shells in a deliciously creamy sauce, and the supper crunchy beer-battered cod that can be added to any order! Who doesn't love a good Irish Pub? Happy to get off Broadway, staying at the Holiday Inn Express across the street so this was a pleasant surprise. Stopped in here late on Saturday night. It was ~1030pm and only 30% full. Kitchen was open with a small menu but everything that came out looked good. I had the 3 slider plate of corned beef sliders, and it was very very good. All orders, food and drink, is made at the bar. The two bartenders were nice and efficient. Never much of a line. It was nice to have live music, but they seemed to do more talking to the local friends sitting in front of them which was kinda annoying. No billiards or darts. A couple TVs with sports on. All four of the high top table chairs at the table were wobbly, that was annoying and concerning. Overall it was good. Totally worth it for the food. read more

A hidden gem, more like a pot of gold! This Irish pub was quite the luck we needed in finding something good to eat late at night. A pretty quiet and chill bar to enjoy sports on the tv along with an ice cold beer and some great eats. They served the best Shepard's pie! Not everyone can master Shepard's pie, but the lost Paddy sure did. Their fish and chips and Reuben were just as good! I highly recommend you check this place out! Too good to pass up! Oh the irony. I've seen this place many times before when I used to go to work pre-COVID. However I always thought it was a "hotel restaurant" since the view from the road made it look like the hotel next door was attached. Don't get me wrong, hotel restaurants aren't bad but I tend to avoid them because my experiences with hotel restaurants are subpar. Little did I know that The Lost Paddy was its own restaurant. I entered on a late Tuesday night and it was hardly busy. Maybe at most, there were 10 people in the restaurant. I was directed to order at the bar and then sit wherever I liked. My goal was to eat Irish cuisine but it was recommended I try their burgers and stout beer cheese soup, so I did. I will say I was very impressed with the food. Enough to warrant a repeat visit to actually try their Irish entrées. I ended up ordering The Lost Paddy Burger, a cup of the Stout Beer Cheese Soup. The Stout Beer Cheese Soup was really good. I'm from Kentucky and legend has it that beer cheese was invented there. You can find beer cheese dip in nearly every grocery store in Kentucky. This soup was a flashback of tasting the dip for the first time. A sharp bite from the cheddar base, a slight bitterness from the beer that's been added (in this case, stout), and a nice tangy-fermented finish. It was served with probably some of the best French fries I've ever had. Crisp yet chewy, golden brown, and a perfect combination of texture and flavors when dipped in the beer cheese soup. The Lost Paddy Burger was a surprise because it was so big. It's beef patty stacked with applewood smoked bacon, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, truffle horseradish aioli, Havarti cheese, chopped lettuce wedged between a picture perfect brown toasted brioche bun and garnished with a dill pickle spear. It was hard to bite such a large burger but I fared well and devoured the entire thing. Cooked a perfect medium, the meat was juicy and it had a complex flavor profile. Greasy, savory, buttery, slightly sweet, and even earthy. The only change I made was add a nice sprinkling of salt to the burger. It probably didn't need it but I've enjoyed salty foods as of late. I'm glad I got to experience The Lost Paddy. I wish I would have known because when I used to work on that side of town, I would have made it an effort to go there more often. I'll definitely try the Irish dishes next time because I love Irish food. read more
