A very decent burger joint on famous 12th South in Nashville. It's a casual family friendly burger place and I believe they make some of their sauce which makes the taste pretty unique. Service was great and price was on point.

Great place to sit and chat with friends. They have outside seating. The service was excellent our server was very attentive. The mushroom swiss burger was so filling and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend this place is your in the mood for a burger.

I've been to Burger Up a few times now over the years, and I feel pretty consistently about their food. It's me. You pay a lot for some really good items and others make you scratch your head. For example, I've had some really awesome soup and burgers from here. Then, the one time I decided to order a salad, it was an entire of what felt like a package of arugula and zero content for beets and pistachios. I asked for more substance, and the server was more than kind to get me more. However, for a $17 salad (my cousin bought us lunch), why was there none of this in there to begin with? The salad menu item touted being a winter salad, but I guess it was a mistake from the kitchen. Understanding this is 12South, pricing is a lot steeper than I'd care to pay for certain items. What is worth their costly mark up? Their sweet potato fries. Don't skip out on these. They're hands down delicious and worth every single penny paid. Being a burger place, don't be like me a get a salad. Just get the damn burger. That's the whole point of it being called "Burger Up", right? Right!!!

Burger Up used to be so good!!! But my visit with a friend this week has completely tainted my fond memories from years past. A friend and I went to Burger Up for lunch this past week and we split the fry flight, Woodstock Burger and a Cesar salad. The fry flight was the only redeemable thing about our meal unfortunately. The burger bun was soggy and the patty was so dry we ended up both taking the patty off and eating it with a fork. The Cesar salad was also so bad? How do you mess up a Cesar salad?? It's insanely expensive considering you get no protein and barely any cheese. The sun dried tomatoes are gross and something is off with whatever dressing they are using. It's supposed to come with bacon but we found quite literally two tiny specs of it in the entire salad. It was pretty clear that we did not have a great meal because we barely ate anything but the server seems like she didn't wanna ask and we definitely didn't wanna be Karen's.

Ordered the French Onion Burger. It did not disappoint. Cooked medium. Onions, Brie, truffle oil. With Sweet potato fries. Hit the spot! Parking was a bit of a challenge. Service was impeccable. I would return and recommend.

Ambiance was excellent as was the service. Waiter was spot on. I had the Woodstock burger medium which was well done and a little salty. But it tasted very good. The iced tea was excellent. I would go back.

A+ for this place. Servers were attentive, efficient and generally awesome. Was seated on a busy night no problems. Definitely barroom atmosphere- lots of mahogany but enough tables for family/ friends vibes. The burger was super good. Fries the same. Salt and flavor content and profiles just aligned. Ate every bite. Highly recommend.

There's a bite taken out of it!! Disgusting! Woodstock Burger

I'm absolutely appalled by what was delivered. This is, without a doubt, the most unappetizing burger I've ever seen. It arrived with a bite already taken out of the patty, the bun was completely soggy, the cheese was missing. This was supposed to be the Woodstock, but it's unrecognizable. I'm shocked that Burger Up would consider this remotely acceptable to serve, let alone deliver.

Service was great! We were in and out fast. Food arrived hot and quickly! Cool vibes inside and it was actually pretty full for a 4pm on a Saturday. Food was tasty - filling burger and lots of fries with house made ketchup (tasted more like tomato basil soup) and honey mustard. Would suggest this place if in the mood for American. They also offer fun holiday drinks which a lot of other tables had

You have to check out the 12 South neighborhood when visiting Nashville! This is a beautiful street and shopping area full of great restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The area is much more relaxed than broadway with a quiet and quaint environment. I didn't see any live bands but there are plenty of bars and restaurants with music.

Did some research and found this place about a 10 minute walk from where we were staying. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon after attending the Titans game. We were greeted and seated right away. Made some talk with an older gentleman who was really nice. A young man then came and took our drink order. My kids got sodas while my husband and I opted for adult drinks. I got the strawberry Paloma and it was definitely not lacking in booze. My husband ordered a Tennessee drink, can't remember the name but that one was also strong but good. We ordered wings, my son ordered the California classic, my daughter ordered a regular burger and my husband and I shared the Tennessee and the bacon ranch chicken sandwich. The wings were delicious. They had a different taste than what I've eaten before. I usually dip my wings in ranch but these were so good I decided to eat them without ranch. We all loved them. Now to the burgers and sandwich. By far one of the best burgers and sandwiches we've ever had. My kids got fries and I ordered tater tots. The fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The tater tots had the perfect crisp. The ranch we ordered on the side was good as well. Plenty of tvs all around. The place had a nice cozy vibe but could also definitely be a good place to have some drinks and meet people at their bar section. This is definitely a place we would come back to.

Despite the no-frills menu, Jack Brown's is on the pricier side. For two burgers, one order of loaded fries, two cans of beer, and a tip, it was more than $60. It's true that this is on the cheaper side for Germantown - but just be prepared that the greasy spoon vibes don't carry over to the check.
