But I was literally looking at chopped up lettuce with an occasional crouton poking out and found a few pathetic dustings of parmesan cheese they might have gotten from the table at a nearby pizza parlor. I just like to hold restaurants accountable to their false advertising. Now on to the highlights. The cheesy grits were delicious! I would definitely get those again and highly recommend. The Loveless Barn is a very intimate space, and I believe my friends had about 300 guests, but it didn't feel at all crowded. The only con I could think of is during the cocktail hour, it felt slightly awkward as they tried to cram all of the guests on one side of the outdoor area so the staff could set the space up for dinner. Outside of this, I found the wedding to be very well organized, and super well executed. The transition from the wedding ceremony to the set up for dinner was seamless. It was a lovely space, and the Loveless Cafe also catered for the wedding, which was a huge perk because their food is absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The shrimp scampi was overcooked, and the shrimp was tough. There was very little of the butter garlic sauce that normally accompanies the dish and is perfect for the bread. The chicken parmesan was also overcooked and tough. I wanted to bring this to your attention because the difference between our first and second visits was significant. I know the restaurant is capable of providing an excellent dining experience, which is why this recent visit was so disappointing.
