I've lived in the Nashville area for a little over a decade now and every time I think I've seen a…read moreshow at every venue in town, I'm reminded of ones that have slipped me. The Bluebird Cafe was perhaps the biggest blind spot in my adventures as a concert goer. Thankfully for me, a can't miss opportunity arose and I was able to get tickets for it. I'm a HUGE Drive By Truckers fan and I've seen the band a dozen+ times live across the country. I've seen co-founder Patterson Hood solo a few times, but never Mike Cooley (the other co-founder) as he's simply never played live in a city I was living in or close to on a solo tour...until now. So when I saw he was doing 2 back to back shows at the Bluebird, a venue I had yet to experience, it seemed sort of kismet. I logged on when tickets went on sale and bought a great seat instantly for a very reasonable price. When I arrived, it was a bit early so I parked in the back gravel lot which was completely empty. There are Reddit scammers urging you to use Parkit and other apps to find a spot when you go to the Bluebird, but at least on this visit (a Thursday night for a sold out show) there was plenty of parking in the free gravel lot and in the lot for the adjacent bank which allows parking post 4:30...plus across the street in the Hillsboro neighborhood. If you have to Uber, there's a massive free lot at Green Hills mall 2 minutes away. Entry was easy, service was friendly. It's a cozy, warm environment. Food was good-- I ordered a "Bluebird basket" of chicken tenders and fries. I had a couple of beers and a whiskey on the rocks (Bulleit). They have a solid bar menu, some good beers (but none on tap), wine, and a few cocktail options. All reasonably priced. The show was fantastic. I love that they enforce a no-talking during the show and no late entry policy. Acoustics are fantastic. Service is friendly. Bathrooms are even clean, lol. It's a Nashville institution for a reason. See a show here.

I believe this is the largest location with a Large Taproom and a Huge dog friendly outdoor dining area. They are a craft brewery and pizzeria. This location has reservation only, guided tours and tastings. They have a large selection of Draft Beers, Ciders, Seltzer, Cocktails and Coffees. They serve Apps, Sammies, Salads, Desserts and Pizzas. They have weekday lunch specials, a Pizza of the month and they offer Vegan/Gluten free crust for an upcharge. They have 3 different Pizza sizes and a Detroit style Deepdish. I gave a 3 star because we ordered regular Bone In Wings, but they gave us Boneless Wings also known as Adult Chicken Nuggets. They named them that for a reason. They weren't great. I didn't complain as for the next reason I gave a 3 star--- It took over 30 minutes to get our food and I was just wanting to eat and get to the house. I will say that we got the Whipped Ricotta Pizza and it was Very good. I will go back at some point because I want to try their Deepdish Pizza and a Craft Beer.

We have been to this restaurant in person and recall liking it. So when we wanted to order a…read moresomewhat fancy meal on DoorDash to celebrate an occasion without leaving the house, this was our best option. The "Main plates" on their menu looked fairly decent, although expensive for what you're getting. Still, we were celebrating so we ordered the Cajun salmon and shrimp dish which came with potatoes and zucchini. We ordered the new Chicken Parm grilled cheese sandwich which came with a side. We went with tots. And we ordered a side Caesar salad and cheesy grits for "appetizers". The meal came fairly quick, around 45 minutes or so which was nice. It definitely needed to be reheated but had tin foil underneath the dishes that would have otherwise soaked into the cardboard to-go containers, So this was very convenient to reheat in the air fryer I'll give you the bad news first and then and on a good note. The disappointment was the Caesar salad. Yes it was an okay size for a side salad. But I was literally looking at chopped up lettuce with an occasional crouton poking out and found a few pathetic dustings of parmesan cheese they might have gotten from the table at a nearby pizza parlor. The menu picture showed nice shaved parmesan cheese with big prominent croutons. It was $6.30, so for What we got I was extremely disappointed. If it was $1.99, quite honestly I wouldn't even care! I just like to hold restaurants accountable to their false advertising. Now on to the highlights. The cheesy grits were delicious! I would definitely get those again and highly recommend. I honestly wish there were more but that probably would have been very bad for me lol. The main dishes were also very good. The salmon was cooked well and the shrimp were tasty. Definitely not too spicy. The sauce was delicious. The potatoes were dry and needed more sauce. The zucchini was also tasty. The new chicken parm grilled cheese was very good and I imagine would have been much better Served fresh. Even still reheated, It was good, Just very slightly dry. Tots were very good and I highly recommend going with the tots. So, overall I gave it four stars because that salad was just so pathetic. But if the salad was the only bummer on a $79 doordash meal, then I'm pretty happy because it was still a good dinner to celebrate a special occasion. I look forward to going back in person and getting those cheesy grits and maybe trying the chicken parm grilled cheese sandwich fresh..

This was just a chicken parm sandwich with a little cheese as an afterthought. I did enjoy the crust on the sourdough and the sauce had a good spice level. I ordered to go and my fries were missing, so I had to go back. I also ordered a side of broccolini which was very tasty, though the stems were a little more chewy than I'd like. I do like that they have expanded their menu with some healthier options. The service was good. They made no fuss over me requesting my missing item and were apologetic. This was around 4pm on a Tuesday and it was dead inside, but it had the typical bar restaurant vibe going on that one would expect.

We went to a fundraising event here recently…read more The event itself was wonderful. Unfortunately, the evening was ruined by the clueless staff of this facility. It was a December evening, that started out fine. The food was OK and about halfway through the evening as the staff begin clearing the tables they opened all the back doors to the venue And left them open for the rest of the evening. The evening was 32°. Needless to say the draft from the open doors quickly filled the room and nobody picked up on the fact that everybody was running for their coats and sat there huddled freezing, trying to enjoy the evening while the event/facility staff walked about with the doors wide open. this is not the first time we've been to an event here, but will always think twice before attending another one.

Cement floor, fold out chairs and absolutely freezing. Not only was it cold, but for some reason the vinyl sides were up about 18" and the back doors were wide open. The evening temp was 34 degrees and everyone at our table eventually got their coats. This was a nice event and everyone was dressed to the nines for it. Hate to say it but if this event is there again, we will probably just mail in a donation and pass on the event.
