Had a group of 5 walk in for a table last night around 6. A guy with long hair greeted me right away and got me a beer while I waited for my group. Super nice. Parking was easy, right out front. Once my friends got there a girl took over our table and she was anything but nice. Took our order and got the stuff consistently so the job was done for sure, but just like. Not nice. This place has ample seating inside and out! It is two stories with plenty of bar and table seating. There are tons of TV's so this would be a good spot to watch football games. The cheese curds and salad were good, the mac and cheese was just ok. Probably wouldn't order it again. The bartender I had was dope and super friendly. I've been here a few times but I want to highlight my most recent trip. Some friends and I came for the crawfish boil, it was cold and rainy so we opted to sit inside the but the set up was so well done! Other than parking, there is a ton of space including indoor, outdoor, and covered patio. Our waiter was Alvin and he was amazing! He really seemed to love people, socializing, and his job! His section filled up quickly but he remained friendly and checked in on all the tables. If you are able to ask which section he's in, you won't be disappointed! The food we choice off menu were some cocktails, I did the Bellinis and they were great (peach and passion fruit). We also ordered the fried pickles which were freshly done to order according to the menu, and they were perfectly crispy, not soaked in grease, and the sour dill rounded it off perfectly! We also tried the tacos were were pretty evenly coated in cheese. The toppings were good and salsa and sour cream on the side. This is most bar food, but it's bar food done really well! The boil itself it's always so much fun. It's really well planned. The crawfish are expertly seasoned! The corn tasted sweet and fresh but with a seasoned kick. The potatoes had great spice from the boil. The sausages were cut smaller, so not every batch got one but they were great. The past two years the boils have been AYCE, which is great! Also, money from the boil also now goes to a great cause. It only happens once a year, so keep your eyes on their instagram around April! Matt was our server and while i did not have any issue with him during my meal, he left a negative impression on my girlfriend while i was in the restroom. Making a joke about how i stuck her with the bill, and when my girlfriend didn't laugh he threw her credit car back at her. Other customers noticed this. This bothers me because either Matt was trying to shame me and my relationship in hopes of getting a better tip, or, he was trying to use this moment to creep on my girlfriend. Regardless the fact that she did not like your commentary gives you no right to throw her credit card back at her. With that out of the way and on to the food. Chicken fried steak was very dark, and the meat tasted more like a sausage than a steak. The gravy was so thick that we scraped it out of it's cup and it stood free form and were able to slice in half with our knife. The mac and cheese was under seasoned. My burger was fine, but the one sad little piece of bacon laying across it made me judge my burger before even tasting it, seriously, one little pre-cooked strip is all you can muster for a $13 burger. One of the primary reasons we came here was due to the look of the french fries on the menu on their website, they looked dark, crispy, and seasoned. I posted in a FB community group asking for suggestions for a place that could accommodate a large party for brunch to celebrate my daughter's baptism. Jim (manager at The Crow's Nest in Green Hills) responded immediately offering to take care of our group. I took him up on his offer and they did not disappoint. I think we ended up with over 25 guests. We were all able to sit together on the patio. The staff was phenomenal!! I cannot say enough good things about our server. She handled our group by herself and did not miss a beat. She was so attentive and proactive! Our food was fresh and good. Awesome place to stop and eat. They are family owned and the food had very good flavor. I was shocked to see the size of the loaded baked potato. I have never seen a potato that big before. It's so big that you can lift weights with it. This place is a bar and grill. It's very laid back, they have tvs for sports, indoor and outdoor sitting and it is covered with fans. They play pop rock music. They also have an upstairs with gaming and pool table. They have parking in the front and rear. I only gave it 4 stars because people can smoke outside and you can smell the cigarette smoke inside the building because its opened and attached. So, if you are not a smoker and cigarettes bother you, you can be in trouble. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back for the food. read more

I went to the Crows Nest to watch the Buffalo Bills versus the Kansas City Chiefs and it was incredibly packed with Bill's fans. I saw this place pop up on one of my Social Media accounts last week. I looked over the menu and saw a great selection of choices with very reasonable prices. I decided to go on Valentine's Day, hoping that I would be able to get a table without a long wait and I did! My food came out quickly & at a very good temperature. Where do I start? Parking is a nightmare on a busy day. Very limited spaces and an odd configuration for the traffic flow in and out of the place. The food is rarely consistent due to the high kitchen turnover rate, and you better hope you get there before the crowd on game day. Because you are going to be looking at an hour+ wait for food. Be it fries or a full entree. The turnover rate for the staff is wild as well. 3 different GM's in the last year alone. As well as several servers/bartenders.
