Hidden gem alert! Lucky's is a cool dive in Wedgewood-Houston, making it a great spot to wander into for a few cheap drinks and some above-average bar food. I stopped by with some friends on a Wednesday night around 7, and we were some of the first people here. The bar quickly filled up, but it never felt too crowded, and never took more than a few minutes to order at the bar. The drink selection is decent - they have a few drafts, some basic cocktails, and dozens of cans available. Again, everything is reasonably priced, especially for Nashville. Their food menu is bigger than you'd expect, and they're known for their hot dogs! Our group tried several different dogs ... my favorite was the Burnt Ends dog! Simply dressed with a buttery bun and a smoky finish, this is a delicious bar snack. There is a FREE parking lot outside, which is such a rarity in this part of town that it's worth highlighting. However, it looks like it fills up quickly, so if you're planning to visit later in the evening, I recommend ordering a rideshare! read more

One of my favorite spots in Nashville by far!! Never lets me down. Food, vibe, and bartenders are all top notch

I visited Lucky's 3 Star Bar on a Friday night with a few close friends and let me tell you, Lucky's is definitely not a three star place! Vibe: A very casual sports bar! Feel free to show up in shorts and a t shirt. They have darts, a pool table, and tvs all over the bar to keep you entertained while you have one of their house cocktails, local beers, or a bite to eat. They play a variety of music. The rock music played until about 1am at which point it started to switch over to throwbacks and hip hop. Logistics: This bar is located in the heart of Wedgewood-Houston. The staff are attentive and friendly. Unfortunately there isn't a ton of parking here. If you're lucky if you might snag one of the few spots up front. If you want to play it safe, I would recommend an Uber or Lyft. Veggie Banh Mih Hot Dog: I really appreciated that there were vegetarian bar food options available here. I got hungry as the night went on and opted for the veggie banh mih dog. I was a bit disappointed in my choice. The veggie dog felt a bit bland and while the flavors of the sriracha mayo and pickled radish were nice, the hot dog didn't wow me unfortunately. However, they have many fun hot dog flavors on their menu that I'd be willing to go back and try! So pumped that a new bar is in my neighborhood!!! They have various sitting set ups from booths to bar stools. There's a pool table for those who are into that. They are offering fancy hot dogs including a Japanese curry one and beers. The also have cocktails available and the Paloma is delish. There's an outdoor space but it was too cold to check that out. They have some parking available but recommend getting an Uber or Lyft. They were slammed when we went so order a few drinks while you have them. Looking forward to coming back again. read more

They do not have security on a Friday night? I had a drunk guy falling asleep on one side of me and another drunk chatting my ear off while I was trying to enjoy my undercooked hot dog and gas station sandwich. The best part is, both stumbled out while the bartender laughed!! Then drove home! It may be named lucky 3 star, but it sure is a lucky 5 star place. It's a great bar for a chill night with some friends with delicious cocktails and bar snacks/food. I love the game options they have as well as the pool table inside the bar. There is also an outside patio area to play games. Pool is $1.00, but free on Sundays. FYI emo night is also on Sundays. I really enjoy their Japanese cocktail as well as their Paloma. We decided to order a pepperoni pizza, the Frito pie, and couple of hot dogs to share (lucky dog, Greek, curry, caprese, banh mi, and Mexico City.) there are also veggie options. One of my absolute favorite bars in all of Nashville. It has a relaxed atmosphere. All of the bartenders are lovely and fun.

We ended up at Lucky's because everything else in the area closes at 10, and we were hungry and wanted to stay closer to our hotel for the night. I love the dive bar atmosphere but thought to myself there is no way I am eating here. My boyfriend convinced me to order. We ordered a pizza, a hotdog, and a frito pie. The food is surprisingly really good. Definitely recommend for a chill, dive bar night- but a heads up, it's overpriced. read more

This was within walking distance of our hotel, and it was a decent place to shoot a couple of games of pool and have a few drinks. I took away a star because the vodka and cranberry drink I ordered was mostly cranberry juice. I decided to go with a tap beer after that. I also had the Bahn Mi hotdog, which I thought was good.
