My vegetarian friend loves Ground for their Impossible Burgers and fries, so we recently ordered takeout from this location for our girls' night! Online ordering was super convenient as our food was ready right on time and still hot by the time we got home. When picking up, it did look like the space could use a bit of TLC in terms of cleanliness, though it was a busy Friday night, so that might have just been timing. I tried the Ground Melt and was impressed with the quality of the beef, fries, and toppings. My only complaint was the very minimal Thousand Island dressing - next time I'd definitely ask for extra on the side. The spicy ranch for the fries, however, was phenomenal! read more

The staff was friendly and placed our order on two plates when we said we were sharing the Ground melt. I would give them 5 stars. The food was good but the hand cut fries were outstanding! Something about them tasted better than most fries you get anywhere else. The atmosphere is ok but felt cramped. The hallway heading to the gender neutral restrooms was full of cleaning supplies and other things. The restroom I used felt a bit dirty and the hand soap container was off the wall and perched on something that made it hard to use- please fix it ! Place was empty, so I should've know by that and the vibe that it was going to suck. Place feels sticky and gross. It needs to be cleaned up. Ordered a plain cheeseburger with bacon and BBQ sauce. It had fried onions on it that I specifically said I did not want. I removed them and took a bite. The meat tasted off, so I looked and my burger was not cooked (pink raw meat). Fries were super salty. My daughter's kids meal, the burger was a tad overcooked. Overall, don't waste your time here. There are better places to go for a burger. read more

Not quite sure why this place has a 4.5 star rating. The place is small and simple in decor, nothing fancy. That being said, I love a good whole in the wall restaurant. Nothing better than finding a diamond in the rough. With their ratings, I had high hopes for this place. The burgers were just ok, a little in the small side, but nothing to warrant 4.5 stars. French fries were probably the highlight of the meal. Nice and crispy, similar to Five guys. Soda machine lacked carbonation, so even my drink was mediocre. The service was great, since I ordered my own food, got my own drink, and bused my own tray! I give myself 5 stars!!! This might be an ok place to grab a bite on the go, but will one of our go to places. read more

Wow! Thank you for existing. I honestly think these burgers are delicious. If I can say that of a colder version of the burger, I know the fresh version would be even better. This place is located in a shopping center next to a sushi place and a subway. The atmosphere is super chill. They have everything in the kitchen on the open so you see them cook your meal. I had my order to go so I didn't experience the customer service but I know it was pretty funny and super welcoming when I came to pick up my food. Everything seem clean. I would definitely be back when I come to the area. They are also worth just coming to the area for a great burger. Come check them out! read more

I rarely crave a burger....I want something more than McDonald's.....After working in the area since 2012........I found this place & decided to try them. Service was spectacular......I saw the Monte Cristo with a modern twist???, on the menu. Wasn't sure exactly what that meant..it definately wasn't what I was expecting....most of the regular ingredients needed for a Monte Cristo were there......just arranged differently & not deep fried..not sure about calling it a Monte Christo but it was the best damn deep fried crispy chicken sandwich I have ever had!!!!! Honesty is the best policy right? Well I found this on Yelp and it was rated high so since my wife and kids were bugging me to pick a place for my birthday dinner I chose here as it was fairly close for everyone to meet at and my family is kind of picky - usually meat or pizza...I'm more of an ethic flavor but hey it's not about me on my birthday right. Ok enough digression: Ambiance: Strip mall location but they had some outdoor seating that was in a nice shady area right in front of the parking area. Standard indoor basic set up - nothing to rave about. Service: Counter order and pick up as well but the counter staff was super friendly. Food: Average at best - I will say they cooked it perfectly medium rare but the quality of the meat and the amount / quality of blue cheese was not good. I ordered bacon on it as well but got no bacon. Same story for the other burgers. Fries were visibly in large plastic bags behind the register on a metal rack so originally I thought they were frozen but after dialogue with the owner they are hand cut from a fry cutter and definitely not frozen so I stand corrected. Price: For the price it lost its last star...can't rave about a place when your paying $13 avg. for a burger that for me and my family was not quite what we've had from other places (like bad daddy burger bar for comparison) but that's our opinion. We stopped in while waiting for service at a nearby car dealership. We split the five-piece chicken tenders for lunch and a side of sweet potato fries. The chicken was fantastic! Some of the best tenders I've ever had. Everything was prepared fresh and in clear view, which was great to see, too. The fries were excellent as well. When walking into Ground, I won't lie I was nervous. Long line of customers and only 3 people working. But man were they working hard. The staff were so polite and the stress didn't show. Also the food here was DELICIOUS. I had the turkey burger and it was really really good. The party was nice and thick with a well toasted bun. Sweet potato fries were nice and crispy with a spectacular apple butter sauce to pair as well. Siblings had a Ground Melt and the Waygu burger and both were devoured in mere minutes. While in Franklin Tennessee we were looking for a good down home burger place and we stumbled upon The Ground which is a staple in Franklin Tennessee. This location has been here for seven years with a sister location on West Main Street in Franklin. The locals love the Ground so much that they are opening up a third location in the very near future. I had the pleasure of meeting Wesson who does a little bit of everything at the Ground, he's been in the restaurant business for 16 years but loves the Ground, not only for their special seasoning blend that goes into thand handmade patties, but because they really care about the customers and the community. Ordering was simple, you can order from your phone with the QR code and you can specialize you order at the counter through touch screen computer. I've gone to Ground plenty of times but this time I felt like they were truly understaffed. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:03, but I didn't get it until 7:20-ish. And my sauces weren't in the bag. I don't want to blame the staff as they were working really hard, but as a previous restaurant manager, this place definitely need more staffing for service to go more smoothly. Just moved to a new place walking distance from here, and boy am I glad. Ground is wonderful! Local ingredients and fresh flavors. My go to is the five alarm burger, which has great spice, but I wouldn't say is spicy. But it is GOOD! That said, I love spicy so have a high threshold. Side Caesar is beautiful with a dressing that coats everything perfectly. Fried pickles to start I would highly recommend to anyone! Space is cozy, friendly. Good prices and better service. Good parking situation, but very walkable depending on your location. Looking forward to delving deeper into the menu. read more

The burger was super messy in the best way possible, full of flavor, and just excellent. The hand-cut fries were cooked to perfection, and they are wildly generous with the fries. When I watched them prepare our order I laughed out loud when I saw how many fries they put with my burger. I mean, I have an appetite, but I couldn't finish all of the fries! So now I have a bonus snack for tomorrow. The chili is very good, with quite a bit of kick. If you don't like spicy food you'll want to skip the chili. My wife added avocado to her burger, and it was perfectly ripe. She kept going on and on about it! I'll admit that we ordered our burgers medium, and they were cooked to medium well. But let's be honest, pretty much every burger place tends to cook a bit beyond medium. And everything was so full of flavor that I didn't mind looking past the patty being a little over-cooked. We both ordered an Impossible Cheese Burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was nicely flavored with tomato, onion, and lettuce. The sweet potato fries were freshly fried and lightly salted. What a find! We happened to be back in town for a volleyball tournament in Brentwood (yikes at the size of those houses), and we found Ground. It was delightful! We started with the mushrooms. Yes. Please. They were great. The spicy ranch was too spicy, but you get a lot of fresh mushrooms for a small price. Highly recommend. Our entrees were the chicken tenders, the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and the black and blue burger. All three were spot on. I ate so much. Just delightful. You also get to keep your cups. All of ours are going to college in a few weeks with our son. He didn't go with us, but he has a lot of cups from restaurants he has never been to. I also liked the concept. You walk in and order your food at a tablet. You sit and get a text when your food is ready. So streamlined. It sounds off putting to an old person like me, but it was great. We had lunch here today because we were in the area. It's a small upscale cafe-like restaurant with the kitchen just behind the counter. I had the grill chicken sandwich with pepper Jack cheese. Craving a burger with an egg led to finding this gem today. This little unassuming burger joint has both dine-in & take out options. After perusing the menu, we placed our order (both opting for DIY burgers, plus a kid's grilled cheese meal) using a large tablet at the front counter, then headed to the soda machine. To our great delight, all of the plastic cups change color when cold. This was the highlight for my 6 year old. Our food was served to the table & oh my gosh, what an amazing burger! Salty, cheesy & eggy with the requisite bacon. SO GOOD. The sweet potato fries were served with cold apple butter, which is now my new favorite. My daughter's grilled cheese was made from flipped over brioche buns, which was delicious. My husband's burger was equally delicious, as were the fries. First time Ground customers, the environment was relaxed and ambient, everything was amazing and Daniel was awesome! He was so welcoming and helpful! I ordered the Cubano Burger with bacon added, extra crispy fries with queso, and a chocolate shake, he told me to go all out, so I did. My fiancé ordered the Black and Blu, with the Ghost pepper ranch, which he loved! When our ordered came out everything looked amazing! My fry order was wrong, it came as a normal order of fries. But, when we told Daniel he was super quick to apologize and fix it, even bagged it up to go for me. The food was amazing and hands down the best burger I've had in a very long time. Such fun burger combos and my fiancé was in love with the ghost pepper ranch so much that we took some home. Overall, an amazing restaurant and thanks to Daniel amazing friendly, aboveboard service.
