Flower Child is a great addition to Franklin! Fresh, unique, healthy & serves such oh so yummy food! I ordered The Flying Avocado Wrap that came with mixed greens that had a light dressing. My husband ordered the Steak Salad & liked it too. He noted that it would have been better with a blue cheese dressing instead of ranch dressing. The atmosphere is energetic & the decor is happy & the dining area is full of lots of natural light. I am already looking forward to my next visit! Possibly when it is nicer weather so I can take advantage of the patio. The only reason I am giving FC 4 stars is because the tables are SO close together ( you could literally hear people's entire conversations). My sister suggested this place while I was visiting in town and it really blew me away! Easy-ish parking & you order at a counter then the staff brings your food to your table using an assigned number. The menu has so much variety & a lot of different kinds of flavors to choose from. I went with a classic plate with tofu and two sides of mac and cheese & Brussels sprouts. We also added an avocado hummus which was amazing. The macaroni was a stand out for me but everything ended up being great. We had three little kids with our group and got lucky with an open booth table in the back corner. I appreciated the light and fun decorations and the kids had a good time looking around and of course crawling on the booth. Lol! Food was really bad, just put simply. Should have went to ShakeShack across the street, seriously. The girl taking the orders up front was really kind and I found the drinks offered to be good. But the food, was a joke. Like cafeteria food. We got a salmon and steak entree. Literally sloppy presentation and steak was chewy and *not medium* as stated on menu. Sides were all bad, we were shocked. Cauliflower risotto was terrible, with an off smell. Even the muffins we ordered weren't enjoyable. We left most all of the food we paid $50 and left. Such a cute restaurant offering a wide variety of unique healthy options. It took me quite some time to decide what to order; everything sounded so good! This restaurant could receive a 6th star just for the interior decor. It's full of color, super clean, and has the loveliest vibe. What we ordered: -Chicken Enchiladas: Warm and filling! This dish had a lot of flavor and was the perfect serving. -Mother Earth: Such a unique dish bursting with flavor and full of fresh ingredients. My boyfriend added steak to this, and he loved it. Flower Child is one of my absolute favorite restaurant concepts, and I've been counting down the days until they opened their first Middle TN location! I was excited to drive down to Franklin to check out this new location during their first full week of business. Understandably, there is a lot of hype surrounding this location, and it was packed when I arrived to meet a friend here for lunch on a Wednesday at noon. Packed as in I had to circle the shopping center twice to find a parking spot, and then the line to order our food was out the door. I'm sure the lines will die down a bit later this summer ... but I firmly believe Flower Child is absolutely worth the wait! Their team is friendly and incredibly organized. Tables are assigned based on party size while you're waiting in line, and then you let the cashier know your table number when you order. We were seated outside, and while it was a pretty warm day, we still managed to snag a spot in the shade. Sadly, Flower Child was sold out of the sweet potato fries when I placed my order. This is my favorite thing on their menu ... and something I was thinking about on my drive down from Nashville. However, our cashier was incredibly helpful with some alternate suggestions, and I ended up trying the soy glazed sweet potato, which was delicious too! I paired it with grilled chicken and roasted broccoli for a light but still filling lunch. Enjoyed a recent visit to the new location in Franklin. Love the ascetics of the place both inside and out. Looking at the food picture on the company website I walked in thinking I was not going to enjoy the food. However, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the food and experience. They were also offering free dessert for reward members on the 4th.. ordered chocolate pudding and it was mouth watering. Nothing like store bought pudding, a rich chocolate taste and perfect with nuts and coconut topping. Highly recommend downloading the AP for rewards before going. We both loved our entrees too, the turkey Advacato wrap was delicious with a side of green salad that already had a light dressing. I had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. Within their first week of operating, I went to Flower Child three times, each visit trying something different and each visit walking away licking my lips in satisfaction. My mom (whom I took with me on round three) calls meals like the ones served at Flower Child, "borderline self-righteous" - By this she means there's something healthful and nutritious enough about the dish she's eaten to warrant an air of pomp upon departure. Like, "Well, well, well, would you look at that! I ate out, and I don't feel like a proverbial grease-ball! Watch out, Gwyneth Paltrow, there's a new wellness guru on the block!" The food at Flower Child is flavorful, light, and fresh. The service is warm, friendly, and prompt (which is even more impressive when you consider how recently they opened!) I have been completely won-over by this new spot. So far I've tried the chopped salad, the avocado caesar, the black bean falaffel wrap and the carolina bbq chicken wrap, all of which I can enthusiastically recommend. A new spot in Cool Springs! Parking can get tricky because they are drawing crowds. Upon entering you join the line to order. Yes, there are lots of options on the menu, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items are well marked. Interestingly, the roasted broccoli and cauliflower "risotto" both include bread crumbs. Those would have been my go to sides, but I am gluten free, so those weren't an option. I ordered the shrimp entree with gf Mac and cheese (fair), sweet potato fries (burned and too salty) and the shrimp was rubbery but had a nice favor. My friend ordered chicken yakisoba noodles and reported that it was good. The space was so loud it was hard to have a conversation. I'm in the nutrition business and appreciate their aim for healthierfood, but there are some things that need tweaking in my opinion. read more

The food was delicious. The staff members were friendly. The service was good. But the noise had all the charm and volume of a large high school cafeteria that doubles as the gymnasium. The staff pushed the decibel levels even higher for more than a minute by running what sounded like a large grinder. My watch sent me an alert that the noise level reached 104 decibels. Yikes! Finally Flower Child has arrived in Middle Tennessee. I went to the location in Boulder Colorado years ago and really enjoyed it and was hoping they would add one to Tennessee as I knew it could be very successful here and was desperately needed at the time. The line was long but moved very quickly. The food came out faster than I thought it would on a busy night. I got the Mother Earth Bowl with added steak and enjoyed every bit of it.
