Kid's Ham & Cheese
Mari B.

Decided to stop in for lunch on a Saturday and glad we did! Lots of seating and staff is great! We ordered the Chopped Cheese, Chicken Cesar Wrap and kid's ham and cheese. Our kiddo loved his ham and cheese. It was a very full sandwich and on really good bread! The Chopped Cheese was huge, messy and gooey deliciousness! I ordered the Chicken Cesar Wrap and it was full of really good chicken. I could only eat half of it. If there is a beverage or chip you like, chances are, it's here! Lots to choose from! Plus lots of side salads and dessert options!

Good deli on those days when you have to venture to Brentwood. The Philly was large and tasty. Great combination of beef, cheese, peppers and onions on a fresh sub roll. Not sure why some reviews mentioned smaller portion sizes. That is not the case. This was a big sandwich and it was very good. The tacos, one beef and one shrimp, were fresh and tasty. The tortilla chips are plentiful and can easily feed 2 people. Nice place. Clean. Friendly service.

Meh, 51st Deli is pretty good but not as great as the reviews might suggest. Founded on Nashville's west side in 2018 on the corner of Centennial Boulevard and ... 51st Avenue, of course ... their fourth of five locations debuted in Brentwood's CityPark in late August of 2025. Pros: The air conditioning is ice cold on a scorching day just the way I like it. With seating for 108, including 80 indoors and 28 outdoors, this spacious dining room has the perfect atmosphere for a neighborhood deli. And the drink selection is striking when you walk in, walls of everything you could imagine including water, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcoholic beverages. They carry most of my favorites like Poppi, Jarritos, Olipop, Fanta, Gatorade, everything we enjoy except Ice brand drinks. And it must be noted that rhe hoagie bread is beautifully chewy and fresh. Cons: My order was totally botched. I received a massive burrito when I ordered the Italian sub. It wasn't even close. It took a few minutes but the order was eventually corrected. The provolone and ham were of questionable quality, but the pepperoni and salami were good. The Italian is supposed to have a sauce, but it was undetectable making the sandwich incredibly dry. And keep in mind you're paying $13 for a pretty small sandwich that's half lettuce and light on the meat. Once again, it's a good spot and I'd probably come back. But in a city full of great sandwiches, it's not an all-star.

Garden Salad w/chicken salad

So happy to have this deli on south side of town. Excellent and fresh salads, sandwiches, quesadillas, fresh fruit, chips and hot off the grill breakfast items. We stopped in for lunch at this convenient location in Brentwood. Parking was easy and free. The deli is nice, spacious and tastefully decorated. Lots of beverage options from specialty waters, probiotic beverages, coffee and can ginger beer or margaritas. Lots of options for desserts from cookies, cakes, pies and puddings. We had the garden salad, turkey club, tuna and chicken salad sandwiches. All were delicious and a generous portion of fresh vegetables, meats and bread. We shared a Christie cookie for dessert. Order at the counter. Service is fast and friendly. Last but not least, they have a nice outdoor area if you want to dine outside.

This location has become one of my fave places to grab food. They have a variety of sandwiches to include deli, burgers, tacos, and desserts. I love their wide selection of drinks too! They have wellness shots, coconut water, smoothies, energy drinks, etc. This place is simply amazing!

51st Deli is a great addition to the neighborhood -- the space is cute, the drink selection is wild, and I'm always excited to see new local spots open up. That said... $17 for a juice and a latte is pretty wild. I also found it a little off-putting that the menu boards don't list prices -- you don't know what you're committing to until you're at the register. I also ordered a 16oz latte and this is a 12. I even said something but they said it was 16oz. I'm rooting for them because the quality is there, but I'm definitely concerned about the pricing. I'll be back, but probably not as often as I would be if things felt a bit more accessible.

This took the place of a taco spot & coffee shop that both closed. The atmosphere was chaotic. They definitely need more seating. Ppl were sitting outside. In January. Luckily, I was just picking up my order. Shockingly, these are some of the better chicken tacos I've had in the area. I only have 2 tacos per meal when I eat them so the $17 tag for 4 tacos & no sides was fine since it's two meals for me. Service was quick & efficient.

Well well well the new kids on the block. We have always wanted to go to 51st but didn't enjoy the constant crowds at their other locations so never took the risk. The Brentwood location seems to have some quiet times, we went at 230pm, and it was pretty empty. First thoughts? IT IS SO CLEAN. Whoever is managing this place definitely has "if you have time to lean you have time to clean" in mine. Feel like I could eat off the floor. We were unsure about a lot but the customer service was top notch h. My husband got a sandwich but I don't enjoy sandwiches because I'm a weirdo so I got their tacos. I've never heard anyone say "51st has great tacos" but they really should. They are crispy but soft, moist but firm and overall fantastic. My husband was very satisfied with his sandwich and has already told me he'd love to go back. We got a little overzealous and also finished our meal and decided to get some cafe items. I got a chai tea and my husband got a matcha latte. It was just OK, and for two large it was 20 dollqrs. Starbucks prices is kind of shocking and I guess inflation has really taken its toll. We will be back but I'll have to wait until next paycheck

My go to is the grilled chicken caesar wrap. It is a 10/10 EVERY TIME! Plus you get your food very fast.

I had the El Diablo, made with chicken, onions, peppers, jalapeño, lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack. Just the right amount of spice and the chicken was moist. Other orders were turkey and avocado, chicken Caesar, buffalo chicken, the Philly cheese, the chopped cheese. They also have a burger, a falafel wrap, various grilled and breaded chicken options. We got the chips and guac, which came in a huge portion size for less than 10 bucks. We got the carne asada fries and the fries were hot and crispy, loaded with steak, sour cream, and veggies. Other sides, including chips, are available, as well as tacos, burritos, and an extensive breakfast selection (available round the clock). Everyone really enjoyed their selections. VERY affordable. Each sandwich was 10-12 dollars and we got 13-14 sandwiches, sides, and chips, plus tip and tax for 204. This will become part of our regular office rotation.

Strangely, those cars don't move for hours, so who are these motorists? Parking tends to be notoriously tough for any business in the Belmont area, so be prepared. The food is okay, not the five-star affair everyone claims, but good enough. After hiking several miles from my parking spot to reach this elusive deli, I've had several sandwiches over the years. They aren't bad, but they don't wow me either. The deli certainly slices their meats and cheeses fresh on the spot. But even that doesn't take the sandwiches to the pinnacle of sandwichhood. And my goodness, those booths have the most uncomfortable wooden backing at the most atrocious angle! You'll notice if you sit in a booth, and you might need back surgery afterward. It's still a place worth visiting, especially if you're a Belmont student and are able to walk over.

McAlister's Deli has been a staple for me since college in Southern Indiana, so I was excited to…read morebring my LA-raised boyfriend here for his first visit and it was my first time at this location. The staff was friendly, and the food was solid. I went with their classic Spud Olé (no longer on the menu, but still available) a baked spud loaded with chili, cheese, jalapeños, ranch, and sour cream and it did not disappoint. Paired with an unsweetened strawberry tea, it made for a really enjoyable meal. That said, the chili and cheese toppings felt a bit skimpy compared to my past experiences. As far as, ambiance - it's a diner style with many tables. Unfortunately, even though it wasn't very busy, it was a little challenging to find a clean table, so the dining room could have used some attention. Overall, still a great spot, especially if you're craving a hearty, flavorful spud.

While this is not our go-to McA's, when we are in Brentwood, more specifically a few spots in Brentwood Place, we usually pop into McAlister's to grab a bite. We have a few constant items including the Southwest Chicken and Avocado Salad, and a plain spud with a side of chili...that gets dumped on top once we get home! The salad is always as ordered, whether be via app or in person. The only thing that is annoying is the amount of dressing they give you, even when you order and pay for extra. Two small ramekins? Come on y'all. And when you ask for a third, they act like it is coming directly out of their pay. The spud and chili are always on point and such a good combo. Service is always friendly here. Nothing over the top, just standard service. The space is well kept and clean. Overall, this McAlister's is worth a pop in when we are already in the area. Happy to scoop up lunch or dinner here.

I walked around in the prepared food area and it all looked great. I found what was maybe where the meal components were but most were missing. I asked a lady if they had more of the pork chop meal. She sent me to the butcher. The butcher was busy but he was kind enough to come out from the counter and help me look. He is the only reason this is not a one star. There was a flyer of what I was looking for and he gave it to me and said it was at the deli. I walked over and apologized and said, sorry I am not sure how to order the weekly special pork chop meal or put it together. The lady was like I don't know what you are talking about. We have a lot of meals here. She was very mean about it. I was shocked because people are usually not rude to me because I am not rude to them. Anyway I showed her the flyer and said I am looking for the pork chops with gravy, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes on this flyer. The weekly special. All she said was the Brussels sprouts are over there, and waved her hand. I just walked away. It shouldn't be so hard to buy a multi-day advertised special. I won't be back and obviously no one will miss me.
