Tomato basil soup!!!!!!! It's all you really need to know! Wow!!! It's so good. Did I mention the tomato basil soup? Mmmmm. Delicious. The sandwiches were good too but dang that soup is good. We can't wait to go back. Bottom line - Order the tomato basil soup. I think I mentioned it!! Bon appétit, y'all.

Quant restaurant with a mixture of tables right near Franklyn city square. The food has a good taste. For lunch they have sandwiches and panini's They lack of sufficient help (they have a sign they need to hire) and this showed up with the bathroom having no paper towels, the drink machine having no ice, the time to prep the food, the long wait in the line to order. The sandwiches are quite small, but favorable. They would be better off making the sandwiches 50% larger and charging a little more.

Very cute, quaint lunch place, but very expensive soup and sandwich. The lunch menu was also fairly limited, but the breakfast menu looked better. My soup and sandwich was good, but paying $15 for grilled cheese and soup felt like robbery.

A Franklin classic. The soup and sandwich combo is a classic! Crave this tomato soup on a cold day! Parking is hit or miss- just depends on how busy downtown is!

Perfect Sunday afternoon lunch spot! Franklin Mercantile Deli is the cutest "order at the counter" breakfast or lunch spot conveniently located just off of Main Street. The service is prompt and the food is tasty! We had the smoked turkey panini and the chicken club panini. The chicken was a little bit dry, but the red onions and mustard helped add flavor. The turkey panini was indulgent! I would come back again just for it! We had a fruit cup side and potato salad! The fruit was perfectly ripe and the potato salad was flavorful. There are a few outdoor tables, and plenty of places to dine inside.

This place is going to become a staple for us! Breakfast is delicious and lunch is even better The grilled cheese and tomato soup is particularly delightful!!!

This was a very cute little sandwich shop in the heart of downtown Franklin. Stopped in here with a friend for lunch and we both ordered a sandwich each and a side. The only thing to be aware of is that the sandwiches are served a little dry, so if you like the taste of Mayo, mustard, etc., ask for them to put it on a bit heavier than normal. (That's not a complaint, it's just my personal preference).

Dirty outside tables

Will never eat here again. I ordered the Annabelle-turkey sandwich which came with chips, the turkey was Oscar Meyer quality and they were out of every bread except white. And...it cost $13. Bathrooms were a mess and dirty. Tables outside were not bussed and no one ever came out to clear them or the inside ones. They were out of ice, every kind of bread, 3 different kids meal items, chicken sandwiches, and chips. We ordered for 4 people and it cost $50 for poor quality, terrible service and a dirty restaurant.

This place was SO busy but I'm so glad I waited because the tomato basil soup was awesome! I got the half sandwich and soup. Try it!

Cutest place and the best food! Why this deli gets anything but 5-star reviews is beyond me. The staff is so friendly and kind and the ambiance is over-the-top cute. Definitely the Luke's Diner of Franklin.

Today was my second visit to Franklin Bakehouse, and it instantly reminded me why I loved it so…read moremuch the first time, years ago, when I came for brunch with a friend. The staff were patient and helpful as I asked questions and considered all my options. I had forgotten that they brew Nashville's own 8&R spresso!! Their 16oz drinks come with four shots - coffee lovers like me will appreciate the strength! Most of their syrups are Monin, I think maybe I saw 1 housemade. What really sets this place apart is the charming farmer's market-style vibe. Besides food, coffee and fresh-baked pastries, they offer their own delicious sourdough and focaccia loaves to go, and a very thoughtful selection of local items - like organic Amish eggs ($6/dozen - unreal price right now and I saw they reuse the cartons/place to return them - heartwarming), bone broths, small-batch sauces, and so much more. I loved spotting a whole shelf of Republic of Tea bags, sold individually so you can sample new flavors before committing to a full tin. You can tell everything is chosen with care both in quality and with a community focus. Franklin Bakehouse is one of those places that just makes you feel good the moment you walk in. It def helped to see and pet some pups too (I assume they are welcome as there were some inside when I arrived).

This is my review for the bakery:…read more I really wanted to support this small bakery, but my experience left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. When I first visited, the owner, Steve Bledsoe, asked where we were from. After I said California, he told an employee to give us the "California discount." When the total came out to $40 per pie, I was shocked and asked why the price was so high. I was given a long explanation about premium ingredients and homemade quality. Feeling awkward and wanting to support a family-owned business, I went ahead and bought four pies. The next day, when I came back to pick them up, I noticed on the register that another customer had been charged $25 per pie. That was a big red flag. To double-check, I later called the shop as a new customer and was told pies are $25. When I asked to speak with the owner, his answers were inconsistent and unconvincing. I'm extremely disappointed. especially in a local business that relies on community trust. I left feeling like I was charged more simply because the owner thought he could get away with it. I will not be returning, and I hope the business reconsiders how it handles pricing and customer interactions. On top of the dishonesty. The pies were not great. I could have supported Costco and bought larger pies that tasted just as good, if not, better.

Ratings Husband - 4 star - roast beef…read moreSon - 4 - alligator Me - 3 - burger Sides - fried green tomatoes & red beans & rice. I got outvoted and they got a 4. Husband got the roast beef. He enjoyed it but thought it was too much bread. He prefers when they pull some of the bread out. It had debris and that's probably why he gave them a 4. We shared a side of red beans & rice. He thought the flavors were nice. I did not. It was like playing a game of find the beans. It was overly spicy and resembled a sausage soup. I've never had soupy red beans & rice (that barely had any beans) before so I wasn't a fan. Son got the alligator and fried green tomatoes. He really liked the sandwich. It looked like it had a nice amount of gator in it. The fried green tomatoes were overly spiced (come on not everything in Cajun food is a heat bomb - I'm from New Orleans so I know my Cajun food). Having said that - the tomatoes were done right. Not greasy and the crisp was good. Me - burger and this was where things went sideways and they lost a star. I have food allergies. I very carefully pick places where I can eat and make sure to stress what I cannot have. It's nothing crazy. Seafood, dairy, eggs.... so I chose the burger with no cheese. I don't like pickles or onions so asked those be removed as well. It comes out, no cheese. Yay! But it had so many pickles in it! I spent a good amount of time deconstructing it. Then there was the meat to bread ratio. 1/3 of the sandwich was just bread. I wasn't a fan of how they placed the burger on it. I thought it was a good idea to make a burger po'boy but the burger should have been placed differently or something. So between the "find the beans" soup and the mostly bread burger? I had to give them 3 stars. Ambiance - typical mall restaurant. Service - solid 4 star.
