Jason's Deli in Franklin anchors a small plaza directly on Mallory Lane near the AMC Theater and other eateries/retail. For the most part, this is your standard Jason's Deli that offers all the tasty soups, salads and sandwiches that you have come to enjoy. Jason's sits on the end of the plaza, so the interior is decently spacious, however the flow can get a bit tight when they get busy for lunch. Layout is counter ordering, and then flow down the line to end in the drink, soft serve and salad bar stations. Speaking of the salad bar, while it is not the salad bar of the past, it is still ripe with options and variety...and breadsticks. When it comes to Jason's, I am a panini guy...legit any type of panini from the chicken, chipotle chicken or the chicken caprese. Just something about that toasted bread, especially the focaccia or sourdough! Service is always decent at this location with no major issues ever noted. They are welcoming and helpful when needed. Parking can be a bit tough, honestly so can getting in and out of the lot. So, be careful whether coming or going! Overall, solid Jason's Deli location that comes in clutch for a good sammie, salad or cone from time to time! read more

Attended a catered lunch meeting by Jason's. The sponsor selected a very good variety of box lunches and salads from Jason's. The salad was a nice choice for a box lunch, although I opted for the tuna sandwich. The box included my favorite Ruffles Ridge chips, an individually wrapped pickle that doesn't leak onto the sandwich, and a pre-packaged chocolate chip cookie, in addition to the tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomato on their Country White Bread. My only criticism is the bread--it was either slightly stale or intentionally aged on the surface. Either way, I prefer a softer bread, so I give this meal 4 stars. Bad experience 2x. First time 2 weeks ago at 7:45 pm the young girl had the whole salad bar apart to clean underneath making it a very unpleasant dinner trying to navigate around it all. Ok thought it was just an anomaly but two weeks later I came back at the same time and the same thing happened with the same girl. You don't do that when people are at the salad bar getting their food when you have everything out and it's a disaster area over there when people are trying to eat. Then she doesn't even fill up the food with nothing there. I have to ask her to refill Empty items. I mean, I have to ask her to put salad out cause there's no salad at a salad bar. I mean it's just amazing. I'm so sick of incompetence everywhere I go. It's just unbelievable today. I'm done with this place. In Colorado, Jason's Deli was beyond awesome, but I have went to this location in Franklin, TN quite a few times and their service and food is only sub-par. The wait to order is always terrible and it's because their cashiers don't know what they are doing, but then the people making your order get your order wrong, then it takes forever for the people bringing the order to bring it even though it's sitting on the end ready to go. This is not a one off situation, it is like this every time. Then the food does not taste fresh, and my Beefeater sandwich last visit I had to pick almost all the meat apart as it had tons of gristle, finally just trashed it. First time here as we don't have Jason's in southern California. Was looking for some hot soup while out shopping on this 40 degree day. Found them on Yelp. What a nice and different sandwich shop than places like Subway, Jersey Mikes, etc. Great choice of 6 soups and today they had a roasted tortilla soup special. So I got the 1/2 sandwich and soup special. I asked the nice lady at the counter what the more popular sandwiches are as they have very many (and all sound good). One of the recommended ones was a Reuben, and that's what I had. The soup was delicious with a nice flavor and was just hot enough to not burn my mouth. The 1/2 sandwich was bigger than many full sandwiches at other places. Very lean, tender, with the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing. Will try Jason's again next time I'm in town! read more

Had a really bad experience with customer service here today. Our food was given to use 23 minutes after the estimated time we were given when we placed the online order. There was no explanation or apology or acknowledgement that we waited so long. We placed an online order and our confirmation said our order would be ready at 11:11am. Normally when we arrive at about the estimated ready time the food is waiting for us when we get there. Not this time. I inquired with the cashier, who said she would check on the order. No updates. We stood around. Two other customers who placed in-store to-go orders after we had already been waiting ended up getting their food before we got ours. I had to follow up with someone else behind the counter, who just said, "They're working on it". Finally we got our food at 11:34 am, when the order confirmation said it would be ready at 11:11am. There was absolutely no apology of any kind. The food was still good, but it wasn't worth the extended wait or the poor customer service. We had been regulars here, but the experience was so frustrating today that I think it is going to be a while before we trust Jason's Deli again. read more

This place puts out a tasty sandwich and we pretty much had a variety of Jason's sandwiches for a whole week. The veggie wrap was my favorite. OMG, do they have a brownie to die for though! I feel like the food is not as great as it used to be. My soul was cold and my half sandwich seemed lacking. The staff was friendly though.

Menu not communicated correctly when ordering. For example, a "bigger better BLT" for $7.99 will charge you another $3.59 for a side of soup. In my opinion, it's unclear there's a charge to substitute a side. So a cup, not bowl, of soup that you might think is an included side is almost half the price of the entree. Bad value and bad communication, in my opinion. The restaurant should make substitutions, etc. clear for the customer. read more

Jason's deli, on Mallory Lane, is where our new place for lunch. My health conscious wife went for the overflowing salad bar. From the extensive menu, I chose a half ham muffaletta. Plus, from, the list of fresh-baked incredible cookies", I picked the an old fav, the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. My muffaletta...a layer of ham and another of ground olives between two huge toasted slices of that special Italian bread. Classic! That white chocolate academia nut cookie was definitely not incredible. Fresh-baked? Well... It just a run of the mill cookie. Now my wife aimed for the humongous salad bar and loaded up on fresh veggies. She also got a bowl of free ice cream- with chocolate sauce. Now to rate this Jason's deli. I received my sandwich with No tomato and my sourdough was a bit hard, and did not receive my chips and dip . The side of pasta salad I purchased was a bit dry and the fruit side smaller than I was expecting. All in all, would I go back, maybe, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. I've visited Jason's Deli in other locations; so, I had to stop when I saw the sign! I am a huge fan of their salad bar and chicken pot pie soup. Upon entering, I discovered a huge Sunday crowd. It appeared as if most had made an after church lunch stop. There were 2 lines formed. I quickly learned that there was a line to order at the register as well as a kiosk line that only allows soup and salad orders. Given that I knew that was my deal, I ordered at the kiosk. It was quick and efficient. There were no tables available. Therefore, I sat at one of the bar-type tables that are attached to the outside windows. The salad bar was stocked with several types of greens as well as many fresh vegetable toppings, cheeses, and dressings. In addition, the salad bar includes pasta salads, chocolate mousse, and bread/cracker options. My favorite part of Jason's Deli is the chicken pot pie soup. Jasons has awesome sandwiches and there salad bar is fantastic. They also have pasta dishes, I like the chicken Alfredo, its really good. Since the pandemic we have been ordering online and had several minor issues but I wanted to warn people. Check your order at the store. Always missing something. Last order not only did we not get our pickles, I didnt get the extra ranch dressing they charged me .69 cents for. They really shouldnt charge extra for it with a salad when you can have all you want if you eat in. Kinda taking advantage of people during the pandemic in my opinion. My father ordered the Turkey wrap. When he received it, he took a bite, only to find there was 1 slice of Turkey. He took it back to the front and told the lady behind the line. Her response was "that's to make it healthier" -- that would have been funny had she actually do something to resolve the situation but she didn't and walked away. When he spoke to the manager the manager laughed as well and told him she's in charge. I don't think it's right to charge someone $10~ for a wrap only to put one piece of Turkey. That's terrible management and a terrible experience. With 100s of restaurants in the area, this will not be one we will be coming back to. Your "manager" should treat your patrons with respect and not make jokes when their service/food is terrible. read more

To tasty additions like bean salad, couscous, almonds, apple slices and trail mix. They even have fun splurges like chocolate mouse or vanilla pudding! There must be 15 salad dressings to choose from, so everyone will find something to enjoy! The ingredients are fresh and the bar is always clean! (5% of the time, there may be something that needs to be replaced/ cleaned) The layout is better than it used to be. When it's busy, I can feel a bit claustrophobic, so if crowds bother you, make note. It's a great place to go at a great value! I highly recommend! Oh, Jason's Deli! How I love thee! Let me count the ways! I eat at Jason's at least once a week. We're a health conscious family, and their light menu is fantastic. I never feel like I'm being deprived. The kids menu is great and inexpensive. The salad bar is stocked with yummy things like artichokes and humus. They'll make me specialty items that are no longer on the menu and don't even flinch when I ask. The black current tea is fantastic. The customer service is great. The to-go order is quick and efficient. I've never had a order that I didn't like. Also, FREE ICE CREAM! However, there are a few downsides. Parking is a pain. A big pain. Usually you can grab a spot next door at Chuck E Cheese, but even that can be hard on the weekends. Just like the parking lot, the seating area is often VERY crowded. Since we have a toddler in tow, we usually get there early, around 11 am for lunch or 5:30 pm for dinner, and we tend to beat the crowd. And just a short story about their awesomeness... One day, my daughter, then 1, and I were eating lunch with another friend and her one year old. The kids made a big mess, and after we finished, I got on the floor to clean up a bit. That's when a manager came over and said, "Don't worry about cleaning up. We'll get it. It was just fun watching the girls eat lunch and play." Jason's Deli has the BEST pastrami sandwiches ANYWHERE! I crave these overflowing sandwiches at least 1x a week and Jason's never disappoints! Our order of choice (we get the same thing) is hot pastrami on french bread w/ onions, banana peppers & mustard and pasta salad instead of chips and it is literally enough to keep us full all day (we usually eat 1/2 and save the other half for dinner). Visiting Jason's can be a little crowded and the wait can take a little longer than you'd like (oh... and parking is a bear if it's lunch time... mainly from the ridiculous chaos at Chick-Fil-A... which I don't get, but that's another review). Is it worth it though? YES! We gave up eating inside and just phone our order in... or order online. Trust me... it's the way to go! Their menu is so vast, their food is always fresh and their service is always excellent. I've never tried their salad bar (I don't much like anything that's buffet style); but it looks great and is always packed which I'm guessing means it's pretty yummy. Their soups are very good & their selection is vast (I think 8-10 soups everyday). One thing you may not think to get at their "Deli" is a hidden treasure called... the Texas Spud. It's a pork loaded potato w/ cheese, chives, sour cream & bbq sauce and it is AMAZING (but go w/ the 1/2 spud, it's really large). The icing on the cake (or should I say, ice cream) is their free soft serve ice cream! If I was homeless... I'd just live by Jason's and enjoy, it doesn't technically say "free ice cream w/ purchase" it just says free ice cream :) If you want an amazing sandwich, visit Jason's... it's a little more than Subway, but it's quality reins supreme.
