This was my second time visiting and it was tasty overall! Service was attentive, food came out quick, and flavors were well balanced. The caprimoon flavors all sounded amazing but we went with the lychee and it was refreshing.

Crispy Spicy Tuna Dinner

Mi Kitchen is a true hidden gem tucked away in a small strip mall in Franklin and trust me, it's popular, so reservations are a must. I kicked things off with the Bourbon Peach Smash, which was delicious and fun (bonus points for the two gummy bears floating inside). Now onto the food. Mi Kitchen is known for its modern spin on Korean cuisine, served tapas-style small plates meant for sharing. There were four of us at the table, and everything flowed perfectly. For veggies, we ordered the Cauliflower and the Broccoli Rabe. The broccoli rabe absolutely stole the show. The chojang sauce was incredible packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. A must-have. Next up was the Crispy Spicy Tuna with crispy rice. The tuna paired beautifully with the rice crunchy, spicy, and perfectly executed. Another must-have. Then came the K-Pop Chicken BAM. Wow. So good. Loaded with flavor and coated in a sweet-and-spicy sauce that hits just right. Yet another must-have. We also tried the Gnocchi, which was very good, but the real standout was the shrimp. They were amazing--perfectly cooked, with what I believe were almonds adding a great texture and flavor. Absolutely a must-have. Finally, the Egg Rolls crispy, delicious, and served with an outstanding sauce that tasted like it had pineapple juice in it. Sweet, tangy, and addictive. Beyond the food, the service was excellent very attentive, and the pacing of the dishes was spot-on. The restaurant also has a cool, energetic vibe that makes the whole experience even better. If you live in Franklin, what are you waiting for? Go check out Mi Kitchen you'll be glad you did.

Chicken K-Wings Lunch

I was in Nashville earlier in November. My friend took me to Mi Kitchen to pick up some entrées and yummy food from this restaurant. She ordered takeout after our Bible study class. She ordered a variety of dishes for me to try. We had some sorta spicy chicken wings and chicken pieces with a sweet sauce. Both were crunchy and tasty. Then we had a kale salad that was light and flavorful. Service was good. The ordered was not quite ready when we arrived . The restaurant was large with many tables and chairs. There was a full bar and many people were dining in for lunch. I may return if I am in Franklin again. The food overall was good.

Absolutely amazing gem in Franklin. This is a Korean fusion restaurant where you can get a taste of the Korean food mix with other ethic dish. All the food here was great! They serve tapas style so the small plates are great for sharing to sample different plates. K-pop chicken was great but I was impressed by the Kimchi risotto. You get the hint of Kimchi taste and the rice was cooked well to reflect the real risotto. The atmosphere is cozy and nice. Their service is great and love the fact that it's truly owned by Koreans.

Caramelato

First time visiting Franklin and our first night in town. A quick search for "best eat near me" brought us to this gem of a place. We arrived without a reservation on a Friday so we had a decent wait for a spot to open up at the bar. Staff was running in high gears all night but we were well taken care of with few delays in-between. Menu is simple - we ordered wok tossed cauliflower, soy-garlic K-wings, glass noodles (japchae), kimchi bacon risotto, bulgogi beef taco, and for dessert, caramelato. We also ordered an adult capri and lychee mocktail. The absolute MVP was the double-fried K-wings which came out hot, oh-so-crispy despite being coated in the delicious sauce. I have had many Korean fried chicken and wings at many places and this is definitely one of the best. The tossed cauliflower was unexpectedly addictive with the citrusy sauce and we loved that flavor from the wok (wok chi) on this dish and the japchae. I normally am not a fan of caramel (yeah odd) but this caramelato is something that you have to save room for, period. If you haven't tried Mi Kitchen, don't scroll past - and make a reservation if you can!

Every time I come to Mi Kitchen, I always feel happy inside. After coming in for dinner, I decided to give lunch a whirl! I called for an order for pick up right at 11:30, it was ready within 30 mins! I ordered the K-Pop chicken, Glass Noodles and Mi cucumber! Would recommend the cucumbers and the glass noodles! What a heart warming establishment, this restaurant has won my heart and I already know it will win yours over to!

This place I will have to say I wasn't expecting it to be as good. Also for a tapas place their portion sizes are well sized! The food came out hot and had lots of flavor!! My favors were the k pop chicken and the cucumbers. I could have took some of this cucumbers home!! I think it's the sauce they use for them that just makes everything come together. The tacos!! I never seen any tacos filled that high.. you have to try them! The chicken was crispy and saucey! I didn't need to modify anything here. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely visit again.

My faves were the k pop chicken and cauliflower. Also loved the udon. Will def go back, especially since they have mocktails!

We had another wonderful evening at Mi Kitchen last night when our power went out. The kale salad was a standout for me as I am trying to eat more greens - it perfectly massaged, full of flavor, with golden raisins, crispy quinoa, and shaved parmesan. The Mi Cucumber salad leaned a little heavy on the soy dressing, but still refreshing and one we'd happily order again as a side. We tried the K-pop wings this time and while it had the same great flavor, we'll stick with the K-pop chicken in the future since it's meatier. The glass noodles were the star of the night for us - absolutely phenomenal, the best we've found anywhere, and now a must-order for every visit (along with K-pop chicken). I also tried the Cute-tini, which comes in an adult Capri Sun-style pouch with a light-up bag and curly straw, it was so fun and creative - felt like a mini vacay vibes treating myself! I wasn't sure I'd love the cucumber juice or Korean soju (first time trying), but it surprised me, and I ended up really enjoying it. As we experienced here before and at Kore, the service was excellent attentive, efficient, and welcoming, even though we stopped in closer to closing time than we would normally come (about 35 mins before). We're such fans and excited to keep working our way through the entire menu!!

Wow the food here is SO good! I absolutely loved every plate we got! Lots of options to choose from and there's a little bit for everybody. Portions are good sizes and easily shareable. The staff was also wonderful and love the ambiance of the restaurant!

This is one of my favorite spots in Franklin! Mi Kitchen is the sister restaurant to Kore in East Nashville, which I think is one of the most stellar restaurants in east - and that says a lot. Would definitely recommend visiting both. While their menus are super similar, Mi Kitchen boasts a little more accessibility, with easy parking access and a quieter atmosphere. The crispy spicy tuna and K-pop chicken are must-gets, and I could literally drink the sauce that comes on the broccolini. And the steak! Perfectly cooked every time I've ordered it and such a nice offering for a small plate. Pro tip: order a side of white rice! While their bar could certainly use an extra bartender/barback (they're SO busy making drinks and takes a bit to get them out), their bartenders are very good and the drinks are delish and fun. Love the lychee "capri moon." Really can't go wrong with anything here, and the folks are always so nice.

One of the most unique dishes the crispy salmon is yummy

Food is uniquely flavored without being overpowering. The dishes are varied enough to allow you to munch your way through the Tapas list and apparently dinner is even better! Oh and the service is just as good as the food.

spicy tuna and crispy rice

Asian fusion tapas?! Yes please! We started with the mi cucumbers, k pop chicken, spicy tuna, and kimchi risotto. The only thing we didn't care for was the shrimp on the risotto but the flavor of the risotto made up for the charred shrimp. We were still hungry so we got the plantains and the arancini next. The plantains had a great spice! The arancini was a little bland after all the flavors we already enjoyed so that one we probably wouldn't order next time. I wanted to try the bread pudding but we ran out of time (the table we were sat at was reserved for 6:30pm). Next time we will make a reservation and leave enough time for dessert!

For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.

It is tucked in a neighborhood in the West End, and most people were surprised we found it or had heard of it as non-locals. It is a very popular spot. We arrived 20 minutes early and snagged the last parking spot in the lot behind the restaurant. Eric R. wanted to sit outside, so we were directed to wait at the bar until a table opened up. I got the cucumber sage yuzu spritz mocktail, and Eric R. got a local amber beer. Our table was ready within 10 or 15 minutes, so we migrated to it for dinner. Our server was helpful in providing recommendations. We started with three shareables: the mussels in lemongrass serrano beer broth and grilled bread, tempura long-stemmed artichokes on Calabrian chile mascarpone, and the lamb lollipops with pearled cous cous. I tasted the lamb, and it was heavenly, like melt-in-your-mouth tender but with a lot of caramelization. That was really Eric R.'s choice so I let him eat the majority of it. I really enjoyed the mussels and the artichokes! Everything was hot and delicious. I was sipping broth with a mussel shell when the bread ran out, and the host came out with more bread for us! It was so good. We asked to see a dessert menu. Eric R. had a tough choice between carrot cake and blondie with caramel ice cream, but was steered toward the blondie and did not regret it. I asked what the house made ice cream was for the day, and it was coconut matcha with a white chocolate shell topping. That sounded so perfect, and it was AMAZING. The evening was beautiful, the restaurant was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! That is the answer!

I appreciated that it wasn't overly cheesy, and the leeks actually brought a lot to the dish. Next, we tried the special, which was a Thai curry snapper, and the hot chicken dish. My goodness were we unprepared for just how perfect and delicious these would be. I absolutely couldn't get enough of the peanut slaw paired with the chicken. My fiancé is pretty picky when it comes to fried chicken, and he said this was the 2nd best fried chicken he's ever had. The flavor of the curry was also very interesting- it was pineapple forward but also had a slight kick. Finally, the service was efficient, quick, and so friendly. We were seated right away, and the restaurant was lively but not too loud. I would definitely recommend a reservation, we went on a Thursday night and it was quite busy! However, it seems like they have a decent amount of bar seating available too. We're not local to Nashville, but we will definitely be back one day. Will also be recommending to everyone go try it!!
