    The Mexican

Perfect spot to snack and unwind! Fell in love with the Ginger Pear Martini- a fantastic twist on a Lychee martini that pairs so well with sushi. I had the Mexican roll for a snack and it hit the spot! Cute little place to dine alone or with friends!

Came to Wild Ginger in Franklin for dinner and had a really nice experience overall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was beautiful. Modern, warm, and a great vibe for a night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service was also excellent and very attentive. This is an Asian fusion spot, so lots of different options to choose from! I started with the Tokyo gyoza. It was good, but nothing that really stood out compared to other gyoza I've had. Still enjoyable. For my main, I ordered the shaking beef with noodles, and this was the star of the meal. It's not traditional if you're comparing it to Vietnamese shaking beef, but it was really well done. The noodles had a nice crisp to them, and the meat was tender and flavorful. Between the atmosphere, service, and solid food, Wild Ginger is a great spot for dinner, and I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

    Pad Thai with beef

My wife and I tried WG for lunch. I had the honey sake chicken while she tried the Pad Thai. My meal was perfectly acceptable and it made for a nice lunch. It didn't leave me with an impression where I need to go back to experience that flavor profile again and I'll try something new the next time I'm there. The pad Thai was a different story. Everything was visually correct as to what you'd expect and it looked fantastic. Upon eating it, it was the most flavorless thing I might have ever had. It really seemed like they forgot something. I like restaurants like this and will try again at some point.

I was going to give them 3 stars. It was oddly uncommon for a Japanese sushi place to cover their sushi rice with teriyaki sauce. Then I thought, I should've read the dish description more carefully, it says on the menu that's the way they do it. I should've asked to have that on the side, hence adding one star back. The Chirashi is nicely composed, but the rice bed under is unruly. It an unshaped mess, covered in super sweet over powering teriyaki. I've had so many chirashi at so many different places, this was a first. I honestly couldn't enjoy the fish because of the sauce.

Appetizers! Edamame Pork Belly Bao Bun
    Shelby T.

Staff is very knowledgeable about allergies. The spicy edamame is delicious. Others at the table got the pork belly bao buns and said they were delicious as well - tender meat, fluffy bun. For my entree I got pad Thai. It's an enormous serving. I forgot to snap a picture before diving in. Personally I would've liked it a little saucier but it's still good! In the future I'll probably just get the veggie option because the chicken was a bit dry. And for the Diet Coke community , they only have Coke Zero.

Pork belly Bao , so delicious! Tender with a crispy Szechuan flavored crust, pickled toppings, and so fresh.

Wild Ginger is a beautiful restaurant in Cool Springs with an industrial-meets-nature vibe--think high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a lush garden patio. Today it was perfect for a quiet, cozy, rainy day lunch. I had the pork bao bun appetizer and the Asian slaw. The bao was hands-down the best I've had--tender braised pork with a crispy Szechuan-spiced edge, topped with pickled radish and cucumber, cilantro, and a sprinkle of cashews. Super flavorful. The slaw was fresh and creamy, kind of like a Chinese chicken salad without the chicken--crunchy shredded cabbage, a sesame and ginger dressing, and sunflower seeds for texture. So good. Service was friendly and attentive, and the window view made it extra atmospheric. Definitely a great lunch pick if you're in the area.

Pot stickers and Yoyo Roll - delicious!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Franklin! Everything is always amazing! We started with a yoyo roll and the pot stickers. They were both delicious! My Boyfriend got the Mongolian Beef which we always love. It's flavorful and perfectly balanced with the veggies. I got the lobster bisque and it was phenomenal. I always pair it with the edamame and it's perfect. The restaurant is relaxed and good for having a nice date night. Great ambiance and feels like you have more than enough space. Service is always top notch. Lemon drop martini is also very tasty! We had a great date night!

DO NOT ORDER THE PORK CHOP. I ordered the WRONG thing!! Went home hungry. Lovely presentation of the Pork chop. But half the plate was bland potatoes & spinach & carrots with ZERO seasoning. No salt, pepper or garlic. Then there was a pile of brown squishy something. Just awful. I don't even know what it was. The pork chop needs taken off the menu immediately. My date got the halibut with jasmine rice with mushrooms & cheese. It was delicious. His was so flavorful. I wanted to cry. His entire dish was 10 times better than mine. I took 2 bites & hated my veggies, my potatoes, my pork chop. The whole thing was was bad. Very nice waiter. Not his failt

Ask the Community - Wild Ginger Restaurant

    Is there a happy hour?

No, so sad! We are here now and it's my first weekday visit but no HH any day of the week.

We will be there in a few weeks. My sister loves your restaurant and plans on taking our family there for dinner. I have a 3-year-old and 9-year-old. I don't see a menu for children. do you having anything that children will eat?

They do not have a kid's menu but have some appetizers that may work.

    Are there any vegan options?

Yes. There are plenty of Vegan options. In addition, this is somewhat of a high-end restaurant. Ask your server if the chef can make a dish Vegan for you. I am certain they will accommodate your request since they make most items from scratch. Enjoy!

Brussels sprouts... hands down THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. I want the recipe. I don't know how to describe them, but sweet and salty, good char, a little heat, tender inside, melt in your mouth. Caesar salad as fine, but just a typical one, nothing great about it. Dressing tasted bottled and the croutons were lacking, but it wasn't bad. My dad enjoyed the burger. Clean inside, nice decor. 9/10 experience. Expensive, but worth it for what you received.

Culamar is drenched in natural light and decorated simply - nothing too loud or busy about the place, thus perfect for a working lunch. The menu was odd and we all struggled to understand the categories it was broken up into. Each item read as a series of arbitrarily listed ingredients. Our (half asleep, disinterested) waitress informed us the dishes were, in majority, "tapas style", a term I find exhaustingly passé. I began to dream of restaurants down the road we could have selected, but we were here and we must stay the course! I had to keep it together for Dennis. We ordered 6 dishes for the three of us to share, and you know what? They were all excellent. Really such outstanding bites. I was stunned by how much I enjoyed the beef carpaccio, the calamari was the best I've ever had (amazing tempura fry!), the Gnuddi (basically a massive gnocchi) in browned butter and crisp sage was a pillowy delight. In spite of my initial concerns -- the hiccups of a confusing menu and our less-than-energetic waitress -- we all left with pleased palates.

The…read morerestaurant wasn't necessarily that busy, but because the space is really tight, it definitely felt busy and a little cramped. Service was also a bit slow. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The bread was AMAZING and honestly one of the highlights. We also ordered the oysters, beef carpaccio, and duck, and everything tasted incredible. My biggest complaint is the price for the portion sizes. I really don't mind spending money on a nice dinner, but every dish we ordered was gone in what felt like less than a minute. Everything tasted amazing, but for the amount of food you actually get, I just couldn't justify the prices. We actually left and ended up going to another restaurant afterward because we were still hungry, which was pretty disappointing considering how much we had just spent. Overall, the food was delicious, but between the extremely small portions, high prices, tight space, and slower service, it just wasn't worth it for us. I'm glad we tried it, but I wouldn't go back.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

The beef tacos are incredible, and the cauliflower tacos are just as good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. He asked her to pick a good red wine that was middle of the road and her option blew him away. It was very good. I got a red sangria and was pleased with it, I prefer mine to be sweeter though. Their bread was delicious as always, crab dip was very good! Wish I had more. Their Caesar was much larger than expected so we shared it but it was good. I opted for the filet medallions Oscar (not pictured) which was good and ordered them medium. Honestly they weren't cooked consistently at all but still very good. Some pretty rare and maybe one out of 4 were actually medium. The ones too undercooked I just took home and ate the next day with eggs. Wish it came with a little more asparagus though.
