Customer service was also excellent and very attentive. This is an Asian fusion spot, so lots of different options to choose from! I started with the Tokyo gyoza. It was good, but nothing that really stood out compared to other gyoza I've had. Still enjoyable. For my main, I ordered the shaking beef with noodles, and this was the star of the meal. It's not traditional if you're comparing it to Vietnamese shaking beef, but it was really well done. The noodles had a nice crisp to them, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I was going to give them 3 stars. It was oddly uncommon for a Japanese sushi place to cover their sushi rice with teriyaki sauce. Then I thought, I should've read the dish description more carefully, it says on the menu that's the way they do it. I should've asked to have that on the side, hence adding one star back. My wife and I tried WG for lunch. I had the honey sake chicken while she tried the Pad Thai. My meal was perfectly acceptable and it made for a nice lunch. It didn't leave me with an impression where I need to go back to experience that flavor profile again and I'll try something new the next time I'm there. The pad Thai was a different story. Our server seemed extremely bothered and put out by being at work, and it was definitely felt by us. Extremely slow service, every ask from us seemed to annoy him, he was absent from the section, etc. I'm sorry that we inconvenienced him with our presence. In addition, our sushi and mains came out all together, and the sushi was warm. Like entree under the heat lamp warm. That to me is a red flag; my husband and I each had one piece of the sushi before passing on it. Our server never came back to touch the table or check that our food was to our liking. It appeared to be some real hard plastic or a shell. We informed our server and he consulted with the kitchen. A gentleman man from the kitchen came to the table seemed to be already on the defense and unapologetic, but to express it was "pieces of shell from the crab because their crab comes from a can and it's hard to separate contents from the can in large amounts." Completely understandable, but an apology would have been greatly appreciated. He never apologized, but just walked off. By any means were we looking for a comped meal, just more so making them aware to be a little more cautious in preparation. Had this been swallowed we may have ran into a bigger issue. Overall I would be willing to give this establishment another try based off the atmosphere and service we received from the wait staff and hostess.
