Looks good, unfortunately we weren't able to try it, they had some alarm going off that they couldn't turn off. But hey, I was able to take updated photos of the menu so you can see what you wanna order.

This is a restaurant located down the street from me. It's been there for years. But, I just recently dined there at the request of a friend. Oh my goodness, I've been missing out! The food was absolutely delicious the first time I went. I got an Hibachi bento box and liked it so much I had my husband go with me. We ordered several things off the menu and liked all our selections. Restaurant name is fitting for one of my favorite things, the Miso soup. I am safe to say, it's the best in town!

Fresh, delicious rainbow roll and miso soup. Perfect for a quick lunch. Our servers were lovely, attentive and quick. Ambiance is typical of a small, shopping mall restaurant. It was quiet and clean. Nothing fancy.

The bento box: Fried rice, vegetable Tempura, California roll, shrimp Teriyaki

I'm not sure why we don't frequent here more often. Went on Friday night and it was packed. (they do a brisk takeout business so that is an option if the dine in is full). We ordered the Fire Dragon roll to share as appetizer. Our server informed us they were a bit backed up on those, but we were okay with waiting. It turned out to be a not very long wait and she put our dinner orders in when the roll was almost out so things flowed smoothly for the dinner. Fire Dragon roll was really good, such a nice crunch and the avocados were perfect with the Salmon etc. I ordered a Shrimp Teriyaki Bento box with Vegetable Tempura, Fried rice and California roll. Everything was so good and freshly cooked when it arrived at the table. Vegetables Tempura were fresh from the fryer hot and so tasty! I could probably make a meal of just those. The Shrimp Teriyaki was fresh and delicious also. The Bento Box is a lot and I couldn't finish but fortunately there were others in the party who helped me out. Service was great and they were busy! Again, why have we waited so long? Great spot!

Egg nigiri and shrimp tempura roll

I tried a few different kinds of sushi here and wasn't too impressed overall. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, an asparagus roll, and egg nigiri. The egg looked way overpriced at first ($3.25!) but when it arrived, it turned out to be 2 pieces...that's not so bad. The egg itself was pretty good - sweet as it's supposed to be. The rice underneath, though, was really bland. It had a tiny hint of plain vinegar, but no sweetness at all. Of course, the same rice was used for the rolls too, so the complaint carries over. The shrimp tempura and asparagus tempura were actually both pretty tasty and crispy. The asparagus roll had too much spicy mayo on top, but the mayo did help offset the blandness of the rice. The servers were friendly, accurate, and quick. I like the laid back environment and the fact that there's ample free parking outside. It's too bad, if they had properly seasoned sushi rice, they probably would've gotten a solid 4 stars from me.

Wasn't planning to eat here but saw a steady flow of customers coming out of this place. I'm glad I did. I ordered the tempura shrimp and tornado roll. The shrimp was good but the roll was outstanding. It was flavorful and had the right amount of shrimp and crab. And they were very busy but my order was ready in about 10 minutes. The service was great and they offered to get me a drink while I waited. This will be my new go-to sushi place when I'm in the area visiting.

This is our go to Japanese restaurant located close to home... They are very consistent with their food And always seem to be pretty packed. It seems like they do a lot of takeout orders because people constantly are coming in to grab food. We love the bento boxes and the specialty sushi rolls.

Miso Japanese Restaurant in Franklin is a casual, no-frills sushi & Japanese food restaurant. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking and seems to be a neighborhood favorite. My friend and I met here for dinner on a weeknight and it was packed. Their menu is actually not just limited to sushi and Japanese. I noticed that they have Thai and even Vietnamese pho. Their prices are all really reasonable. We decided to share two rolls and the vegetable and shrimp tempura. The tempura ($5.95) was pretty good and was brought out to our table quickly. The fire dragon roll ($8.50) was definitely our indulgent pick as it was salmon, avocado & cream cheese and the whole roll is deep fried and covered in sauce. This roll was a bit too rich for me with all of those fatty foods all in one roll. The white snake roll ($13) was the standout of the meal to me. It is one of the newer additions to their specialty roll menu. The inside is spicy crab & shrimp tempura and the outside had white tuna. It was drizzled in a wasabi sauce with lime and sriracha. Although it sounds like it would be really spicy it only had a small kick to it. I would definitely order this one again. I think Miso is a good restaurant and I'd give them another shot. I think that it matters what you order here since I enjoyed the tempura and the white snake roll but I didn't care for the fire dragon. The service was a bit spotty towards the end but otherwise pretty good as well.

Solid spot. Not a ton of basic salmon dishes, but for decent sushi I recommend it. Ambiance isn't great.

The place is small, so I recommend take- out, but it is the best sushi in Franklin! I haven't gotten one roll that I'm not a fan of.

First time dining here and I already can't wait to be back…read more I started with the wagyu and truffle hand roll, along with the spicy tuna hand roll. Both rolls were very fresh and the pickled ginger complemented them very well. The cassava fries paired with the yuzu aioli went perfectly with the chicken karaage. The unagi and crispy rice tasted amazing, the combination of the buttery soft sweet eel with the crispy rice and freshness from the jalapeño and miro herbs made for the perfect bite. As a main entrée I had the signature garlic noodles with shrimp, bonito flakes, and mushrooms. Normally I'm not a huge mushroom fan, but everything in this plate was delectable. The service is amazing even from the very entrance, you instantly feel welcomed. Vicky was amazing both drinks were a work of art with refreshing aromatic flavors. The Ube Banana pudding was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. A must every time I visit! The inside is beautifully decorated. The service was some of the best we've had: attentive, warm, and so generous. I couldn't decide between the house salad and the miso soup (both sounded amazing), and they kindly surprised me with a house salad topped with their housemade dressing, such a thoughtful touch. The miso soup was stellar, too. We started with the mango crab rangoons (highly recommend), then ordered a mix of rolls: two cooked: the Hotel Cali and Tidal Wave and two vegan: the Eden (a must!) and the Cowgirl. Every single one was delicious. To drink, we loved the China Doll and the Sangria Spritz cocktails. The lighting and overall mood of the restaurant i beautiful, warm, cozy, and perfect for lingering. We'll absolutely be back!

I've been a couple times and each time the bartenders are lacking in friendliness, accuracy, and efficiency. It seems that they pay more attention to the service bar and chatting with each other, it's surprising to me that management doesn't notice the bar is in need of supervision and improvement. I've had to to get my own napkins, chopsticks, and even had a food runner drop off my food to a couple sitting beside me and scurry away before any of us could tell her that she made a mistake ‍. It's possible that the service is better at the tables though, I sit at the bar because I go solo. Still, the food and ambiance are worth a visit, I will be back...the chargrilled edamame is delicious!
