We came during happy hour when there was no one there yet because the main kitchen was not yet open. We spent a while at the bar just enjoying appetizers and our drinks until the kitchen opened and we quickly got our food and everything was delicious. I also used the bathroom and the toilet water was steaming... so maybe get that checked out?

This place is definitely a splurge, but the food is delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You're paying a bit more for the ambiance and location, but it's worth it for a special outing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails were a highlight, and the fried chicken did not disappoint. The complimentary seaweed chips were a nice touch. Staff is also incredibly helpful guiding you through the menu. Just be prepared to spend a bit more, as portions lean toward tapas-style.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First of all the ambience is such a vibe it's dimly lit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sushi chef is right next to the Dj and there's final behind the Dj the art and the decor is so fire.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got the salmon Love roll and the crunchy tuna roll with the crispy rice and the Nori chips. BEST FOOD IVE HAD IN NASHVILLE. Jocie (our server) is amazing. Will 5ever give them my business anytime i eat out. Wow. No brainer, a MUST if you are considering.

888 is not a restaurant, it's a psychological operation. First time I walked in I thought, "Oh... I'm not rich enough to be here, but they're letting me stay." By the third visit I was fully expecting someone to wipe my ass, moisturize my hands, and whisper affirmations about my potential. They don't but the vibe suggests they could. The food is unhinged in the best way. Sushi that has no business being this seductive. Salads dressed better than me. Chicken that tastes like it was raised on generational wealth and classical music. Every plate shows up looking like it wants applause. You eat it and immediately start making irresponsible life plans. I have to space my visits out because my bank account starts sweating. Like actively shaking. This is a "once in a while until I get promoted, married rich, or commit light fraud" type of place. Still? Worth every dollar and mild financial panic. Staff is mostly immaculate. I did get one server who was dry and slightly rude but listen, I'm not here for therapy. I'm here to chew. Humans have moods. I lived. The food still changed me. Music? Loud, sexy, and disrespectful. Decor? Aggressively hot. The entire place feels like confidence, poor decisions, and a credit card with no spending limit.

I took my fiancé here for his birthday. The album feature of the night was "The Internet". [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a very busy vibrant place, which made it very hard to enjoy the music and hear it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes were amazing though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My espresso martini was sooo good and strong! Overall I give the food 5 out of 10. Nothing to rave about. I won't come back for dinner again, but I can definitely see myself stopping by for happy hour. Also, parking is validated if you park at the JW Marriott, which was very convenient.

Sushi and vinyl? Yes, please. The staff was attentive from start to finish. The dj took requests (checkout their playlist on their website beforehand). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was never too loud and we sat near the speaker.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi was great!

Overall: A great higher end restaurant that has such a cool vinyl concept. The spicy tuna sushi was pretty solid and props to the ube espresso martini! Chicken kaarage was alright for me, but my friend loved it. We chose this for a girls' night out and it did not disappoint. Service: Our server and host were super kind and knowledgeable about the menu / recommendations. Ambiance: So pretty inside and got lots of great photo ops :)

This is it. Speakeasy meets sushi house. A "must visit" for anyone in Nashville looking for an effortlessly chic spot with coastal fresh sushi and elevated cocktails. Friendly service and focused menu. Highly recommend the 888 roll.

I stopped by after work with some coworkers, and I'm so happy I found this place! The food is delicious! and the drinks are well made! A perfect balance! Food that was ordered: Chicken karaage : 9/10 Okonomiyaki : 10/10 Edamame :10/10 Donabe Fried Rice : 10/10 Drinks: Matcha Mezal Sour : 10000/10 totally recommend !

High end, high quality Japanese food! I'm going to jump straight into the quality - superb! A nice touch/extra step they take with their quality is they state on their menu where they source their seafood directly from - Toyosu market in Tokyo, Japan. I have a hook up there so I got to extensively/exclusively tour the Toyosu market back in 2024. I can confirm - everything there is very fresh and first-rate. I really tasted the premium quality at 888 in their 888 roll; it combines multiple different kinds of fish and each one is sooo buttery soft. The green sauce that comes with the 888 roll on the side is amazing. Never tasted anything like it before; it has a nice kick to it. I asked for a whole side of it and dunked every piece of sushi in it as I went. We went during happy hour, which I recommend. Loved the tuna tataki so much that we had to order another round! I usually don't like eating ginger with my sushi/fish, but it was already rolled into each piece of tuna; no complaints! The flavor combo was excellent. I thought the surf and turf roll was interesting. I didn't taste much lobster, so that was slightly disappointing. David was our bartender/server. He was excellent! He made my friend's drink so good that she had to get another round. She said that was the best lemon drop she has ever had, hands down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say, the restaurant is VERY dark. I even made a joke saying their electricity bill must be $5 a month. Eventually, our eyes did adjust but dang, I could barely see when I first walked in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My wife Sam and I went to 888 for my birthday and we both really liked it. The place has a great vibe with stylish décor, a super cool vinyl wall, and a DJ spinning vinyl records. We sat at the sushi bar, which I loved because it felt like we were right in the action but the regular bar and booths looked just as inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly. The cocktails were fantastic. Sam had the "Cheet Code," and I had the Matcha Mezcal Sour. The mezcal flavor really stood out, not so much the matcha, but it was still delicious. For appetizers, the yellowtail and jalapeño dish was hands down our favorite, I want to drink that sauce. So fresh and flavorful. The wagyu skewers and chicken skewers were good but skippable next time. I'd rather try their cucumbers or another veggie dish. We shared the whole branzino and it was beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned, and served with a flavorful aioli. We also tried the hot salmon sushi, which was excellent. And the birthday mochi was a delicious touch at the end, thanks y'all. Overall, 888 is a really cool spot that I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nashville who wants an elevated and interesting sushi experience - loved the vibe.

A dark and sexy / speakeasy style bar (the entrance is marked with a red light, no sign) with high quality drinks and expensive, elegant bites. We came on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. The Mezcal Sour ($18) is a must get for me - what a unique drink! The Bravazzi Spritz ($18) was also nice, albeit a but to sweet for me. There was a DJ playing soft, classy music. The staff were upbeat, stylish, and totally jamming with the music too. The food menu was a but too expensive / unconventional for us to want to order anything, so we stuck with drinks :)

We came in to Nashville and booked a premium experience dinner [for my husband and I ] with 888 and sat at the sushi bar. I was handed a birthday card upon arrival. The chef was at the end of the sushi bar and expo'd all the sushi dishes that went out. The main sushi Chef was awesome and he kept asking us if we liked the sushi or experience overall. We love the ambience with awesome DJ. The drinks were fabulous so kudos to the bartenders! Our server was exceptional and recommended certain drinks, and she was dead on with everything that she recommended. The next time I'm in Nashville, I will definitely come to this restaurant for another awesome dining experience.

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

Our waiter was very helpful and attentive during the entire dining experience. The food was very good from the appetizers to the sushi rolls. Fish was very fresh and the wines were good. The only shock was the tax rate which couldn't be explained by the waiter other than to say that's how they maintain the roads. On a bill of exactly $100, our taxes added $14.09 to the total. It's definitely not the restaurants' fault, but TN or Nashville specifically needs to address the 14.1% taxes on a restaurant bill. It's egregious, but again I can't fault the restaurant hence the 5 star review.
