Amazing staff, great food. This is our go-to spot for date night and for takeout. The wait staff went above and beyond to be sure our order was exactly as we asked. They continue to earn our business, time and time again!

I dined at Koi Sushi & Thai on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 12:30 pm. This review is based on my second dining experience at lunch, which unfortunately, did not really improve much since my first dining experience at dinner over 2 years ago. I thought it was still pretty average in terms of food quality. This Japanese/Thai fusion restaurant quickly got busy after opening so I could tell it is still a popular restaurant. The Pad Thai, a Thai staple dish I normally order to assess any Thai restaurant's authenticity and quality, was mediocre. I wouldn't say its execution was poor, but it just didn't stand out to me. The flavor was not as developed compared to other pad Thai I have eaten around Nashville. It was also a bit too moist and was missing some more time on a hot wok. As someone who don't mind a little MSG in his food, I felt like there was too much in the Pad Thai. So be prepared to be subdued to a food coma if you eat the Pad Thai. There are a lot of options for sushi and they all look great on the picture menu. I do commend Koi for offering unique sushi rolls you wouldn't find in other sushi restaurants. I normally do not order sushi with crawfish in it, but I must have missed it when I ordered the red dragon roll. It was well-balanced and flavorful. I'd also recommend the snake roll if you like the basic eel roll because it has the imitation crab and fresh cucumber to balance the rich eel flavor. The volcano roll is typically a rich roll, but I thought it needed more spice to cut the richness. I did not like the TNT roll because I thought the panang curry seasoning was overpowering and just doesn't belong in sushi. Service was above average - very friendly and attentive. Waters were adequately refilled and our food came in a timely manner. We barely missed the lunch rush when we left, so be prepared to expect slower service if the restaurant is full. Overall, I think if I were to visit Koi again, I would stick to mostly sushi because there are a lot of intriguing ones I'd like to try out next time.

We were in Franklin and saw this on Yelp so we stopped for dinner. Good call! I had Tom Ta soup with shrimp. I added a bit of red pepper in oil to bring up the heat. Excellent! Just excellent! We shared 4 different sushi rolls and they were all really good. I'd come back here anytime I'm in the area!

This is my umpteenth time visiting Koi but I've only now gotten around to writing a review. As you can tell from the pictures, we were so excited about the food we dug in before I remembered to take a picture. We've always had fantastic experiences and today was no exception. The staff is accommodating and welcoming but can seem a bit dispassionate from the outside. However, don't let that dissuade you from eating here because the food is wonderful. A smidge over priced but good quality. The restaurant itself is very nice with different seating arrangements and great ambiance. While this restaurant is a little on the expensive side, I do recommend it if you want some good sushi. I also love the fact that they have gluten-free accommodations including ability to make dishes gluten-free and even gluten-free soy sauce.

I am always on the hunt for a solid pick-up Chinese spot and usually wait until I am closer to home to scoop up the food, but decided to give Asian Taste a try recently and get it right after work. Online ordering process was simple, not a huge fan of the 7% processing fee, but the prices were fair so I pushed through. Quoted time of 25 minutes was spot on. When I walked in the door, they were walking from behind the curtain with my order. As noted in previous reviews, I always judge a Chinese spot by their wonton soup...and Asian Taste came through with some of the best wonton soup I have had in the area! In addition to the tasty soup, we got sesame chicken with fried rice and an egg roll, and house lo mein. The egg roll was more of a spring roll, but it was fried to perfection and packed with the goods, so again, I let it slide. All the food was hot and delicious, and plentiful. Pricing was not bad, including the fees, tax and a tip, we spent around $32, which is not bad at all! If you are interested in dining in, there are several booths and tables. The dining room was well kept and clean. Overall, really enjoyed Asian Taste. Definitely will be added to the rotation for those weeknight Chinese dinners!

Once the rest of our group arrived, we waited another 15 minutes before he finally came over, with no apology, no urgency, and a pretty rude attitude. The food here is always amazing, but the service is consistently terrible every time I visit. What makes it worse is that the restaurant wasn't even busy -- maybe eight tables total, two servers, no bar guests -- yet every table around us looked annoyed and was waiting just as long as we were. Not once did we see any sign of management on the floor. The kitchen does a great job, but the service and lack of management presence really ruin the experience. this will be the last time any of us dine in here. which stinks because we love the one in nashville but this one is much closer.

I think this one of my first date spots almost 15 years ago, and has now become a reliable spot for dine-in or takeout on nights I'm too lazy to cook but still want comforting, filling food. Almost every time I come in, I'm delighted to see one of my regular servers who remembers my favorite items, makes friendly banter while I order, and overall makes this an incredibly welcoming experience. There's a lot of regulars like me who have been coming here for years for some of their staple favorites: green curry, red curry, fried rice, pad thai cashew chicken, and truly any of the soups are always hits to me. I always get an appetizer as well with my favorites being the chicken spring roll, the fried tofu, and the small wonton soup. Nothing is spicy unless you request it so, and my meal is always about $14-18, even if I order an appetizer; it's truly one of the few remaining inexpensive spots in the area. Even my parents still request to come here, which is wild as they are truly some of the world's pickiest eaters; there is really something for everyone. Sushi is not my favorite here and I wouldn't call this the most authentic Thai food, but that doesn't make it any less delicious. Easy parking in a plentiful lot, thanks to the shopping complex it's located in. Everything tasted fresh, no complaints there. However, I had an issue with the portion size to price ratio. My fiancé and I both ordered the regular sized pho. They have a smaller size and a regular size and we 100% ordered regular size. Now, I don't know if something got mixed up, but assuming I got the correct order, a regular size portion is a shallow takeout container with noodles and the toppings and 16oz of broth. That amount of broth is enough to barely cover everything in the already shallow bowl. Also, the bao bun, while super tasty, cost $4.25 and we got one piece of pork belly on it which I was a little sad about! The coconut pudding, also super tasty, was pretty small too and cost $3.00. However, it is a filling dessert so I can understand that pricing and portion sizes. Again, overall this place is good, but I think I've just been a bit more spoiled with other Pho spots I've been to. I've had a lot of places give me a lot more bang for my buck.
