Inside (and my photos were blurry but the inside was totally smooth actually)

I was in town with my Aunt and Uncle and we were late to go to lunch but Sperry's was still serving lunch ever around 2pm. It is a surprisingly walk in for your first time. The outside area looks good but when you walk inside this place it is way more than just good. This is a very high level restaurant and it was only easy and quick for us to walk in since we were at the odd time of the lunch break. This place is for sure a place to go to if you're from out of town and had never seen it. All the people that live near there go to that place constantly for sure. It's way too cool and the food is seriously delicious every single bite.

Sperry's Steakhouse was absolutely delicious -- and yes, that is the word of the night: DELICIOUS. I actually came here solo for my birthday dinner and it was kind of by accident... but let me tell you, it was the best accident. From start to finish, everything hit. The crab cakes? Delicious. The steak? Delicious. The creamed spinach? Delicious. The mushrooms? Delicious. The lobster mac & cheese? You guessed it -- delicious. Every single bite hit all of my taste buds. It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked across the board. Of course, I had to get a dirty martini with extra olives -- my absolute favorite -- and it was made just right. Parking was easy, customer service was great, and the atmosphere was beautiful. I even ordered dessert. I haven't eaten it yet, but yes... you guessed it. It looked delicious. No complaints at all. I will definitely be returning.

Went with a girlfriend before a movie, was a great way to start the evening. I was thrilled to see they had crab bisque, something I always love to order when I see it on a specials menu. Nice lumps of crab, absolutely exquisite. The bread they serve was perfect to sop it up with. I had an ahi tuna tower, friend had the steak frites. We both enjoyed our meals, she loveddddd the béarnaise sauce so if you are a fan I would recommend getting. Service was okay, nothing to write home about for us. You could say he gave us time to talk, but the pace felt like he forgot about us. The interior was beautifully decorated and comfy feeling, would definitely go back.

One of the best classic steakhouses we have in middle TN. They are busy 7 nights a week so make a reservation. They have a dress code that's really business casual but if you don't want to follow that, you can be seated in the bar area. I've been half a dozen times, always order steak but this trip, did their roasted prime rib. Great change, cooked perfectly. They have a small but nice salad bar and I'd recommend their garlic housemade dressing. It was our 31 wedding anniversary and my wife had the 8oz center cut filet. We started with the smoked salmon and toast tips. I had a manhattan and she had a martini. We finished with their special dessert, bananas foster that is prepared table side. Great staff and service. I'm originally from Vegas and it has that classic Golden Steer vibe, like old Vegas.

Lucky enough to have Sperry's for a work event last night. This is almost the same order I reviewed recently, however it highlights one of my favorite things about Sperrys, CONSISTENCY! Started off the meal with the smoked salmon dip which was a huge hit at our table! Subtle hints of smoky flavor and no fish flavor to be found, mixed with a small baked flatbread/toast for a great appetizer. The mango and sausage stuffed mushrooms, again. This flavor combination sounds so off if you haven't tried it but the savory and sweet combination is incredible. The 8oz flier presents much larger than a typical 8oz (never a bad thing) and was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. Seasoned to perfection with just salt and pepper. The asparagus was wood grilled or charred and had a slight woody/smoky flavor because of it and was also seasoned with salt and pepper but could have used a little more salt for me. The loaded baked potato is as immaculate. The potato itself was cooked incredible, very tender with no hard or tough spots inside. Smothered in a layer of cheddar cheese. The coolest part of this experience was that it was a work event with a pre fixed menu. Typically that results in subpar menu options, food preparation and quality from my experience. However, everything came out perfect. (Also reason why I don't have as many pictures as usual for this review) The server was exceptional, I lack his name, but he helped us pick out the perfect red wine to accompany our meal, and even got one of our patrons a Caesar salad instead of house salad despite it not being on our pre fixe menu. I had never been to the Franklin Sperrys before, only the original location. Upon entering you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between the two. Both have a dark lit environment, and exact same layout almost. Another apologies for lack of pictures compared to my normal reviews as it was a work event and very dark in our private room.

We came here several times. Food was always great! My favorite was slow cooked prime ribs, it's so juicy and tender. It came with self-serve salad bar, another nice option here. The services were varied. Sometimes the service was good, another time was bad (tried to complaint to the manager, and he didn't do anything about it). I like the ambiance and the theme. It has an antique & cozy vibes. Overall, 5 stars for the food and ambiance, 2 stars for the service & management.

Medium for her.

Just a quick update because they are still rocking it. This is one of the most consistent and excellent restaurants I have ever experienced. I almost always...well, always get the prime rib. It is amazing how perfect it always is. Service is always spectacular. Friendly, helpful and unpretentious. Perfect for special occasions or if you just want a really excellent meal.

King cut Prime Rib...oh my

Yes, it is all it is cracked up to be. Best prime rib I've had in middle Tennessee. Excellent fillet. Salads were fresh both at the salad bar as well as the wedge and the Caesar. Cool old steakhouse vibe and excellent service. Nothing wrong with the house Cab either. Highly recommended for a great night out.

Another great Sunday brunch at Sperry's. Fabulous food and outstanding service. The blue cheese filet, regular filet and twice-baked potatoes were excellent as always. I love Sperry's salad bar, but the wedge salad was a great alternative. Our meal was topped off with the Snowball dessert...incredible!

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. (Actual day of) We had heard so many good reviews and thought we would try. Made a reservation for 6pm and noted our anniversary on the reservation. We waited about 20-30 minutes or so once checked in. They had a good amount of people waiting as well for tables that also had reservations. Once seated, our waiter seemed busy with surrounding tables. We ordered the salad bar, Caesar salad, crab cake entree's. However, it seemed all the tables surrounding us that were waited on later than us received their salads much quicker. At least salad bar was help your self and my husband insisted that I go ahead to the salad bar instead of continuing to wait for his salad. I had been through my salad plate and waiter asked if we were enjoying the salad bar and we reminded him of my husbands Caesar salad that he was waiting on. He quickly went to the register and then later came out with the salad. As we were waiting on our entree, different servers multiple times approached us with other plates and we motioned that we didn't order and they took them back to the kitchen stage area. (Steak, spinach, Mac & cheese, lobster Mac &cheese.) Upon the last waiter approaching our table we told him it wasn't ours and that we had already been approached by others with the incorrect meals. We told him we ordered Crab cake. Our waiter went to the register again and came over and seemed flustered and said it would be out. We were right at the kitchen area and register so could see all the commotion. By now, those that came in after us were finished their meals and leaving. The manager came over, I think after all the mix ups, didn't really say anything other than let her know if we need anything. I mentioned to her it was our anniversary, she said congratulations and that we would be getting a dessert. Surprised me, as I read on other reviews that for special occasions they provide a picture and card. I even noticed someone with a camera going to the hostess desk. Oh well, good thing we took the selfie in the lobby as we were waiting to be seated. Our crab cakes came out and they were actually delicious. All lump crab meat, almost better than in Maryland. The waiter did apologize and came out with a desert menu and said we could pick what we want for dessert even the banana foster. So, of course we did the banana foster. Which was great as well. Overall, the food was great but lacked in overall experience in the service within the restaurant as a whole. Initial I thought Sperry's would be comparable to Jeff Rubies and hoping for a step above Jay Alexander's or Bricktop's, but found they are not as experienced and attentive. They also seem to have difficulty turning tables in order to turn over reservations. When plates were cleared no one pulled crumbs off table. It's the attentiveness that was lacking overall. The food was fabulous, but given our special evening felt lack luster from the service. To me an evening out is not only the quality of the food but the experience as well.

Smoked Salmon

The Sunday brunch place in Cool Springs. A traditional steakhouse setting with a full bar and a good wine list. Very good service from friendly waitstaff. Try the crab Cake Salad from the Lunch Menu, the Smoked Salmon or the Lamb Chops.

Crab cakes are amazing. Shrimp cocktail is good but you need to ask for extra horseradish if you like it that way. Steaks are great, be aware that "medium" here is closer to medium rare in other places. Love the variety in the salad bar. Our server was very pleasant and they were accommodating even when we were a little tardy. The place is very nicely decorated for Christmas, I like the background music and it has a family-restaurant cozy feel while still offering the high end steakhouse experience. Bit of a drive from Goodlettsville but we will keep this on our list

I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.

Things started out fine, but we found ourselves quickly being subjected to Lee's somewhat aggressive approach to service. He honestly was the least personable server I've ever experienced, and had a very condescending manner. A misunderstanding occurred on my friend's order. She was brought a dish with pork in it, which was not what she ordered. Mistakes happen, but Lee was not at ALL nice or accommodating about it, laying the blame on her, and bringing it up multiple times during our meal, with a snarky and resentful undertone. After we paid, he walked up, dropped our checks, and walked away without a word. It was the first time in my life I've ever been tempted to leave zero tip. My conscience for some reason would not allow me to follow through on this, but it was as undeserved as any gratuity I've ever left. We wanted dessert, but we ended up going elsewhere due to how we'd been treated. We also had no clue we would be charged $6 a person for water! Perhaps something that could be mentioned during the ordering process. I've honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had hoped to come back for a date night, but our experience left such a bad impression, I can't imagine spending additional money here. I'm not sure if other diners have had this experience with Lee, but we certainly did not feel welcome or valued as customers and felt it was important to make you aware." The food was fine, but most dishes needed salt- so basic. The lack of response from management, however, really says everything one needs to know about Culaccino. I'd truly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere.
