The best steakhouse we've found in the middle TN area. It's our top choice for all special occasions and it's never let us down. I highly recommend it

Stoney River has recently changed their menu and prices. Sadly, we don't plan on coming back. They got rid of many staples such as the trout, meatloaf and hamburger. The replacements are subpar. They even have a new recipe for mashed potatoes. They are now saturated with butter. Just look at how heavy they are in the pictures.

I got the tuna stack as an appetizer and the ribeye with Mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Everything was enjoyable but not like omg amazing I have to come back type of enjoyable since I don't live near cool springs.

Great food and the kids loved it too which made it an even better night. Our server was also amazing. The carrot cake was a big hit!

Food Let's talk about it!!! Everything we tasted was spot on! Started with the steak rolls and the free rolls, had the bone-in pork chop and double cut lamb chops. You can't go wrong with any of their choices, though. Wanted to try the Halibut but it was sold out . Next time, will have to get a side of the chimichurri because it was incredible on the steak rolls and with the lamb chops! Service Staying with the halibut. We were able to order it, but were informed moments later that it was not available. Could've been an issue but the manager Jane made it right! Apologized and turned around that part of the service. Other than that, seated immediately and our waiter was very attentive making sure the drinks stayed filled. Ambiance Absolutely amazing, cozy. Loved the fireplace. The lighting can be a bit dark so it can be tough to get those Yelp pictures but I tried my best lol. All in all, great restaurant in an easily accessible location with amazing food and Ambiance. Will be back again soon!

Every single piece of food we each tasted was seriously perfect delicious. We each ordered more than we needed so we did grab take-home boxes to carry the yummy stuff with us. The vibe in here is so wonderful and feels so relaxing and comfortable. My favorite thing even more than food at every place I go to is always the service though. The service here was seriously A+++. The host at the entry, the server, the manager, and everyone else in there were seriously perfect and made the whole time there so fun and enjoyable. This had to be the greatest place to go for a meal and even sit with others and hang out. So great.

What a find! This restaurant is superb! Great menu. Great chef! Cooked perfectly by a chef team that cares, not just speed. Waiters friendly, know their menu and what can be changed. Service was checked periodically for any needs. The owner Shannon stopped at our table to see if food was cooked to our perfection. Looking forward going back and try more on the great menu. Bob

I dined at Stoney River on March 9, 2024 at 7:30 pm for my birthday. I had a good experience and it was a good choice to celebrate my birthday. The food was great, but the service was less attentive than expected. Probably because we were seated in the corner next to the bathrooms. But it wasn't too bad because it was a lot less noisy than the middle of the restaurant. For appetizer, I had the lobster bisque. The bisque was creamy and flavorful. I was satisfied that it had a decent amount of lobster pieces in there. For the entree, I got the coffee-cured filet mignon with a side of garlic mash potatoes. It was cooked to a perfect medium temperature and was one of the best tasting filets I had. It did come out missing the chimichuri sauce, but it was rectified after several minutes of waiting for the server to come back and check on us. The food came out in decent time, which was impressive given how busy they were. If the service was more attentive, it would be deserving of 5 stars. Overall, very excellent food, a bit pricey though. Average service, because it took a while. But your service could vary depending on the day, time, and server.

I enjoyed dining at Stoney River. The bartenders were very nice and attentive. The food was prepared well. The lobster bisque needed more seasoning. Very nice elegant ambiance. The spinach dip was my favorite.

I had duo filet mignon and my wife had the boneless short ribs. Both were excellent. We split a flourless chocolate torte for desert which was outstanding. The fresh sourdough bread was amazing. The steak sandwich is served on a ciabatta roll. It has Filet mignon, Gruyere cheese, grilled red pepper & onions, garlic mayo, and creamy horseradish. The house salad has Romaine, arcadia blend, heirloom cherry tomatoes, carrot ribbons, cheddar cheese, bacon, garlic croutons, and watermelon radishes (which are an added bonus because they aren't in salads I've ordered at other places. ) The house roasted jalapeno honey vinaigrette put this salad over the top. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.

This was the email I sent: "Two friends and I had a 7:15 PM reservation at Culaccino on January 10. Our server was Lee. Things started out fine, but we found ourselves quickly being subjected to Lee's somewhat aggressive approach to service. He honestly was the least personable server I've ever experienced, and had a very condescending manner. A misunderstanding occurred on my friend's order. She was brought a dish with pork in it, which was not what she ordered. Mistakes happen, but Lee was not at ALL nice or accommodating about it, laying the blame on her, and bringing it up multiple times during our meal, with a snarky and resentful undertone. After we paid, he walked up, dropped our checks, and walked away without a word. It was the first time in my life I've ever been tempted to leave zero tip. My conscience for some reason would not allow me to follow through on this, but it was as undeserved as any gratuity I've ever left. We wanted dessert, but we ended up going elsewhere due to how we'd been treated. We also had no clue we would be charged $6 a person for water! Perhaps something that could be mentioned during the ordering process. I've honestly never had a more disappointing dining experience. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and had hoped to come back for a date night, but our experience left such a bad impression, I can't imagine spending additional money here. I'm not sure if other diners have had this experience with Lee, but we certainly did not feel welcome or valued as customers and felt it was important to make you aware." The food was fine, but most dishes needed salt- so basic. The lack of response from management, however, really says everything one needs to know about Culaccino. I'd truly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere.

We started off with the Mini Donuts with dipping sauces, and they were a huge hit! Unfortunately, I was off my game and forgot to take pictures of some of the appetizers before they disappeared. We also ordered the Spinach Dip with chips, and a definite must have, the Deviled Eggs with Candy Bacon. Wow... those were sooo good! For the entrees, I went with the Eggs Benedict with home fries, and it was perfection. Others at the table ordered the Chicken Fingers and Fries, great comfort food with amazing flavor. The fries are the thin-cut style, which makes them extra good. The granddaughters split a hamburger and absolutely loved it. The service is always great here, but this visit had a special touch. The granddaughters wanted a carrot to feed to their stuffed bunny, and the waitress actually brought one out for them! Little things like that make a big impression. Loud from the crowd, but still fine for conversation, and the tables/booths were spread enough to provide decent privacy. Made a note that the bar looked very attractive and appealing. Limited draft selection, though the by the glass wine was about the best list I've ever seen in a restaurant, and quite reasonable on pricing. Food comes out fast. Wait people are efficient and helpful. Started with a split salad. We ordered the Little Gem but actually received the Caesar. Not a big deal, though it was badly over dressed, so whatever salad we order (or whatever we're served) in the future, it'll be dressing on the side. After having a tough time deciding what to order on our first visit, I went with the tuna. The tuna slices were nicely rare though the dish was very bland. A pop of pickled ginger on the side, but some wasabi, or even a hit of salt, would have helped a lot, and the dipping sauce was off and bland, could have really used some more soy sauce. Wife got the crab cakes. The cakes were really nice jumbo lumps, very good quality, and the shoestring fries delightful (though I might order them well done next time for a bit of extra crunch). We'll be back and will enjoy exploring the menu further. There's clearly 5 star potential here, we just need to learn the best dishes to order.
