Service was great! They were apologetic for food not being up to par and asked me to come back for another try. I will go back, but if I'm displeased again, that'll be the last time. It's a solid, casual meat-and-three that's become a gathering place for both locals and visitors. The menu offers classic Southern comfort food with rotating daily specials. The pulled pork is one of the more consistent meats, although I've had it arrive perfectly tender on some visits and a bit dry on others. The second meat changes throughout the week, which keeps things interesting for repeat customers. I've worked my way through all of the sides, and the fried okra is easily my favorite. It's consistently served hot and crispy, though I think a signature seasoning blend would make it even better. The macaroni and cheese is another standout, although I've occasionally received it lukewarm. Stopped here while traveling for work when I had time to kill during a travel delay, and I became a huge fan in the couple of hours I got to hang out here. Great selection of local craft options, and a nice small kitchen with fantastic quality. You can get flights as well as full pours, so plenty of opportunity to sample as much as they have on tap. And enjoy getting to meet their team! The business started right before COVID, and Mark, the owner, kicked this off as his dream after shifting life-paths. Just two of them on this visit. Secondly, unless you come here on a weekly basis, you won't get a hint of attention. Other reviews mention the same horrible service to anyone who doesn't visit this place regularly. You will be completely ignored. This evening the dining area was nearly empty yet we sat for 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. The mixed drinks are good, fear not. Then we sat for 35 minutes before we were able to attract the attention of a server, after several failed attempts. The board is good and hearty as is the spinach dip. The problem here lies in the subpar service, again and again and again. We really try to refrain from giving local establishments negative reviews, but the sheer lack of attention to anyone not hovering around the bar is ridiculous. At one point I walked to the bar to try to get the attention of our server and it still failed. They never checked on us. Never asked if we wanted a refill of water and didn't ask us if we wanted a second drink until we had to track down our bill. The final insult was the server asking my wife and I who were huddled up close on the same side of the table, if we wanted one check or two. Ugh.
