Mixed reviews for this place as of late. I get the Island Green smoothie - swap mango for blueberries, half sugar, and pea protein. And I sometimes get a breakfast wrap which is usually good. Normally it's great but the customer service today was bizarre to me. I ordered in the drive thru tonight vs normally in the app and I wasn't confident the guy got my order right. I drove forward to the cashier and she says - Island green, swap mango and "more stuff"? I said and half sugar and pea protein? She says yes, I pay. Guy gives me the smoothie, I drive away. When I finally take a sip - they added peanut butter, not pea protein. It's fine to mis-hear but to look at the screen with my order when I confirm pea protein and...I guess she just lied when she clearly saw peanut butter? Very weird. I've also gotten a completely not cooked wrap before. I really want this place to step up - please improve. read more

I have never loved a smoothie place more, the staff is exceptional, the food is amazing, my smoothies are perfectly blended, and most of all, every bite is a masterpiec. Haven't reviewed in a while. But this store is constantly changing and the smoothie quality stays the same. Absolutely amazing and consistent. I usually get my food in like 3 minutes and if it takes any longer. They always apologize. Like WHAT. You guys are too amazing and the workers are amazing. A little shout out to there general manager guy. I think his name was Julian? I don't know but he's such a great guy. Always takes time to say hello to a regular like me. read more

Recommend avoiding the drive up. Takes a while to make a smoothie, and there's always someone in line that hasn't ordered ahead. There are a couple spaces for quick order pickups right up beside the entrance. Order ahead, arrive a few minutes after the projected time, hop out of the car and you'll probably have your smoothie in hand, back in the car, in seconds. Staff seems to constantly change, so you can see quite a variety of results even from ordering the same smoothie each time. Some thicker, some thinner, some a bit short cause they had an accident and spilled a bunch on the counter. They can be absolutely delicious, then you'll occasionally get one that tastes faintly of armpit. Never have figured that out - is it over ripe fruit? tainted blender? Don't know. But even then, it's not bad bad, just a little off. Just think of this all as smoothie roulette and go with it. Hint, if you're not fond of overly sweet, order half turbinado (sugar). You still get a bit of sweetness, but it's less overwhelming. If you ever decide to gift me with a tropical café smoothie, because you love my reviews and feel like I should be rewarded for my insights, please order me a watermelon in the summer, or a blueberry in the winter. I'm usually the first to boast about how much I love a company but this was just so disappointing and when I called to speak to a manager, the young lady I spoke to didn't sound like she had cared whatsoever. I ordered a Bahama Mama today (my usual) and I kept finding plastic pieces in my drink. Not sure if they came off of a plastic bag or a disposable glove from an employee but this was just so gross. I hate to complain but this was so upsetting because I am pregnant and I even got a smoothie for my 15 month old daughter and I don't even know if it is safe for her to drink or not. When I called the girl did offer to remake the smoothie of me if I could return but I was already far away and heading home to Lawrenceburg, TN. This place has turned into a great hem of a find. I love their Watermelon Mojito smoothie. Watermelon, Strawberries, mint and lime. It is awesome. Great friendly service and speedy as well. Great refreshing drink. They also have food items but have not tried them yet. read more

Is 0 stars an option? I placed a to go order last Friday night (4/22) and arrived before it was ready. I watched a young man wearing gloves take cash from the couple in front of me and then walk over to the food prep area and begin to lay wraps on the counter and lettuce. He never changed his gloves. I figured he was going to after he took that cash, but no. I immediately asked a young girl making a smoothie if the manager was there. She was like what??? I had to repeat myself 3 times. She's like "No he's not here." I told her that the young man making my food had dirty gloves on. She said, "oh I'll say something to him." She went over to the guy and they were whispering and looking at me. Then he walked off. The girl came back over and said "I told him to change them." At that point I said, "I don't want to eat here. Can I just get my money back?" She wasn't sure she could do that and went and got someone else. This other girl came out and said, "we're calling our manager because we don't know if we can do that." Then another guy came out and said, " I talked to the manager and because you ordered on the app you have to cancel the order and get your money back on the app." I said "ok" and walked out. There is no way to cancel the order on the app after the pickup time. I paid $19.54 for an order I asked to cancel and never received. I sat on hold with the customer service and no one came to the phone after 15 minutes. I sent an email and I never heard anything back. I didn't hear anything by business day 4. I called customer service again and after 20 minutes on hold they said they'd resend my message with high importance that I needed a follow up. I still never heard anything after 2 more business days. Now I'm waiting for my bank to reverse the charge. This is beyond ridiculous! This place sucks. I really don't think anyone saw a problem with taking money with gloves and making food with the same gloves. I will NEVER eat here again. I just want my money back! read more

Horrible customer service- pull up to the window and they say they can only accept cash. Then after ordering they say they also can't make any food. Why is this place even open?? Pretty insane. I am a nurse who was inline to order a smoothie when I had to get out of line abruptly to go to work. The next morning I called to pick up the order I wanted the night before. To my surprise I received a free smoothie plus a coupon for another free smoothie from the staff with the biggest smiles and thank you for "all you do!" Holy guacamole so I've been passing this place for a few weeks now I kept noticing how busy the drive-through has been and I question wow smoothies must be more popular than I realize, but to my surprise they don't just sell smoothies they sell sandwiches, wraps, bowls, etc. And I just got the Baja chicken wrap in for eight dollars this thing is huge and amazing so is the apple slaw that comes with it, it has a kick but I can eat a pound of that stuff. So excited to find a new local restaurant that serves great food at a great price with tons of variety. Can't wait to go back read more

I LOVE Tropical Smoothie Cafe and was thrilled with them coming to the area, but the service at this location is terrible! They have absolutely the Worst customer service I have ever experienced, and honestly don't think they care to correct it. Don't waste your time going to the Spring Hill location just drive the extra few miles to the CoolSprIngs location. They are awesome! They take their time, listen to what you ask for, and if it's incorrect, they will fix it immediately, but most of the time, it's just as it is supposed to be. Wish I could review the food but I walked in & ir was completely empty inside except for Two girls that work there on the side and of course the drive-through. I walked Up to the register and waited and waited and waited. Nothing. No "I'll be right with you" or "hello". I even looked over at them and one was too busy talking to her friend and I have one of the Susie's doesn't taste that good and the other one I don't even know what she was doing- but I Can tell you what she wasn't. I genuinely only downloaded yelp to make this review. It's super pretty inside and every time I order it hasn't been wrong and everyone is always so sweet. The food is very good and it's fulfilling! And in my opinion it's healthier than most of the options around the Blvd. One thing I have to mention otherwise id give a five star review is that when I went in there was a shift change people clocking in before the people clocking out needed to leave. The workers clocking in didn't wash their hands before proceeding with their job. I understand being busy or in a rush but being clean especially handling food is a number one priority. But needless to say I ate my food anyways, and the guy making my food had gloves on! He was very sweet and I was on my way out. Super cute place and I've never had a bad experience with the food or workers here. The manager was really sweet as well and knew how to do her job. Everyone looked really put together. In the future make sure your workers make cleaning their hands a priority! I will continue to eat here :) also from what I saw waiting for my food (wasn't a long wait but I'm a patient person) everyone was working together, and I love that! read more

It was a beautiful day yesterday so my son and I walked over from shopping to grab a smoothie. Drive through line was quite long and since it usually takes awhile without a line we opted for walking over. After being stared at awkwardly for a few minutes by multiple employees while we looked at the menu (one girl just stood at the register seemingly ready to take the order while others milled about...) we approached and she said "due to understaffing we can't take your order unless you drive through or order on the app." I was shocked and asked "seriously??" Only to be glared at by multiple employees. It made absolutely zero sense why our orders could not be taken. We didn't expect to cut the line- just came without our car and were refused service. Sadly you've lost a fairly regular customer. Abysmal customer service. read more

Great little place. Pretty pricey but smoothies were delicious and food was good. Chipotle Chicken flatbread was large and had a lot of chicken. Jerk chicken wrap was an average wrap size, good amount of toppings inside. Smoothies were a really good size. Overall would recommend! read more

I visited on through the drive up on Tuesday afternoon and didn't like how my smoothie had been blended, so I went inside and asked a worker for the manager. A sweet blonde girl came up and offered to remake it for me, apologized, and gave me a free smoothie card. I believe her name was Caitlyn. So, we went to the drive thru today and I had the Parmesan Chicken bowl. Minuscule amount of parmesan, 3-4 leaves of spinach and two thin slices of tomato pieces. Basically just chicken and lettuce. Decent amount of chicken however. My wife had the Baja chicken wrap. No chicken. None. We requested no pickled red onion. Plenty of pickled red onion. I verified with the young man at the drive thru window that there was no pickled red onion, he assured us that there was none. Plenty of pickled red onion on the Baja Chicken Wrap, just no chicken. This is the SECOND time they have screwed up the order. I was halfway to Franklin or I would have gone back. I don't understand how something so simple can be so difficult to get right. Additionally, we sat in the drive thru FOREVER ! Several cars got out of line and just drove away. Anyway, we're done. Not going back to pay alot of money for them to mess it up a third time. The slot they occupy has changed hands several times, I see another change coming soon ! Update: management responded with the same cookie cutter response they have used with every other complaint lodged against them. Asking for more information ?? I provided complete information concerning our sad experience with this amateurish operation. It's enraging enough to hand over hard earned money for subpar product and service, but to throw salt into the wound with a disconnected, empty "who cares" robot response just adds insult to injury.
